I’m not a beginner at violin, but I’m also not advanced. I’ve been wanting to play this piece but completely lost confidence that I could do it- especially because I haven’t practiced in a very long time. But honestly, your lessons are just outstanding. It makes me think that I could actually do it! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on violin. It really, really helps :)

I was in the same boat, I have been practicing a lot since last year and especially this summer, and I have made so much improvement!! I started playing 6 years ago, never really started actually practicing until a year ago, and am making great progress! I also go to lessons, and I am going to be learning this piece soon!! I believe in you! If you still are in this boat!!!

I am also a violin teacher for beginners and intermediate players but I love to hear other teachers. She is my favorite on RUclips because her advice is very practical and works. Not all video teachers are good. So I think she is one of the best teachers on-line.

Other RUclips violin teachers *please take note*: This lady KNOWS how to teach! She includes the sheet music, which is extremely useful for the viewer-student. Many so-called teachers post videos saying stuff like "put this finger on this string", without showing where they are on the sheet music. These videos are essentially useless.

    interpretation is a personal thing.
congrats for covering thoroughly the piece. also I was looking for more hints for clearer harmonics and that increased bow weight thing I something I havent heard yet from previous vid I had seen.

That was awesome, Lora !! I fell in love with this peace when I saw a movie starring Dudley Moore (one of my fave pianists) titled, 'Unfaithfully Yours" - back in 1984. Dudley and his male co-star have a violin battle in a Italian restaurant over the affection of a beautiful woman. It was a great version of Czardas.. really intense and very very funny how the scene ended. From memory, Dudley's violin exploded ha ha. And, Dudley actually played the violin in that particular scene.. a very talented man.
Thanks again, Lora. The irony is, i started working on this peace yesterday...spooky, eh?

That's a very fascinating story... unfortunately most of the times Lora doesn't read comments here on RUclips, please, post them (as well as your questions) on this video's dedicated page on VSM: www.virtualsheetmusic.com/experts/lora/czardas/
