Great episode, guys. I know Jonathan from his iZotope videos, so it's cool to see the pros you admire getting together. Herb was quite chatty in this one! :) I hope part 2 happens sooner rather than later and we learn more about Jonathan's mastering process.
The ONLY thing that could have made that episode 'epic', was if there was a group-hug after that beautiful (and emotional) closing speech Herb gave! Haha j/k. Excellent episode, gents!
MyGameplaying They're trending because you can eliminate the factor acoustics play in mixing with them. Many people work out of untreated environments. That, and they're portable.
I will never have the choice to do my own mix and my own master because its my reality I am a amateur having fun with my music and that's it and its great the way it is ;)
Great interview. Although I disagree with a couple of things said. Multiple speakers , including mastering grade provide a good reference to different environments. Having a great room helps narrow that, but in my experience, my mixing engineers always like me to have a similar set than theirs to have a good common reference.

That is one long never-ending intro lmao
Never felt it till today. Hahaha 😂😅
Thank You Guys Great Episode🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Next time you're all in Boston, it would be awesome to have you stop by at Berklee! Thanks for a great episode as always. See you soon.
I second this! Great episode, Jonathon is a favorite teacher of mine
Fantastic!
the intro loop almost got me!
12:25 …I love geeky idioms of artists.

I wonder what his thoughts on mixing with headphones is. Since it seems to have become a trend now for some reason.

I wish you didn't interrupt him on 32:20...
I'm not sure I really get this. Plenty of people produce, mix and master songs on their own perfectly well.
You definitely missed the part where Pensado says "Theres no such thing as loudness wars, theres just doing loud poorly..." cheers! @36:57
I'm a fan of this channel, but there are certain episodes/interviews where Pensado rudely butts in; Ruins the mood.
What are you all talking about , guys think you just love to here your own voices your not saying any thing , tell us something that’s useful, ,
