This was absolutely fascinating...This guy helped make some of the most visionary and iconic music in history....His work with Stevie Wonder helped pave the way, just as Giorgio Moroder did, for the use of synthesizers in popular music.
Hi, Alberto here... I would say Thank you Dave for your nice comments, and appreciated the respect you show for all the contest's participants and their work. When I read my name as the grand prize winner I just couldn't believe it, and I still can't believe it to be honest :) PS: "Into the Lair" is a great web series and I spent days watching those videos...
I am glad he mentioned VR and Immersive Headphones. I dont feel it will improve music for the novice musician, but it will definitely make the music process fun. The "potential" downside... it may ultimately destroy the market demand for live performance/listening space. I would love to play with the VR as a toy, but I am worried to see the damage it does as a legitimate industry standard "tool of the trade".
Please, please, please stop being politically correct!! Dave said "It's what separates the men from the boys" and Herb responded with "AND the women from the girls". If a woman gets offended by what Dave said and doesn't understand the meaning of what Dave said, she's not a woman...she's still a girl.
dude is so rude, he’s trying to tell you historical truth and you’re trying to control the conversation. Telling you about Electric Lady and Jimi and you say “keep it on Stevie” lol so annoying and weird you can’t even listen correctly. literally rushed him to speak about only Stevie the whole time like he doesn’t exist without Stevie just don’t talk if this is how you’re going to handle yourself with absolutely no education or context just listen and stop trying to control the knowledge we as listeners are trying to receive
I didn't like the part where he kept negatively talking about sampling as if it's some inferior form of making synthesized music, and yes I do think synthesizers are machines and they do indeed have moving parts. I appreciate the romance and all of that, but I think some people take it a little too far.
Love Robert!!
That was awesome. Thanks guys.

The actual show starts at 9:48 in...

"brought the synthesizer to Rhythm & Blues"💎💎

I feel so stupid. I been pronouncing Moog like the way it's spelled. I'll take this L.
Mr Fox lol thanks.
Some episodes I wish Herb would STFU while guest are talking... Too often he upsets the rhythm of the conversation
