      He is definitely one of the figures that made the medial switch in sound and music education possible (i.e. going online!) And helped a generation of budding engineers familiarize themselves with appropriate technical jargon.

      The EQ is also nice. SPL 120V rules, and PA does a very good job with the emulations

    The only changes I would make to the software version is to have the db values change when 1/4 mode is selected and auto bypass be selectable between beats timing and ms. Otherwise it's a beautiful sounding mastering EQ.

    I have been using this for a couple of weeks now since its release and I love it! The finesse that you can deliver is tremendous, and the MonoMaker and Stereo Width controls are also hugely welcome although require a light touch . Whether on the master bus or on a channel or other bus, it's so handy to make those adjustments that get you to the right tonal balance. Thanks SPL and thanks Jonathan and Plugin Alliance for your great video!

      @@PluginAllianceTV I enjoy my sessions so much because of PA! My projects always include many staples from my PA collection, and I couldn't get my signature sound without you guys...thank you so much for giving such tremendous value and amazing tools for us to work with. I'm on Subscription, and I find it the only affordable way to have such a wide variety of plugins at my fingertips for such a low maintainable cost. Through the years your vouchers and sales have been so amazing and important to my growth, I love that I am able to own what is critical to me and have the sub to be able to experience any plugin I may need for the work I'm doing at the time. Keep up the magnificent work, it's appreciated!

    It doesn’t quite have that tone of the hardware version. It’s close though and the EQ sweeps are accurate.

    Great review and run-through. I realised when he was speaking about the 'auto-bypass' that a 'sync-to DAW' function (in beat measures, as well as time periods in seconds) would be really useful, either to compare equal length bar sections/phrases, or even to use as a creative effect, Could this not be implemented in an update?

  • @SteveGietz
    @SteveGietz Год назад +2

    Would be nice if the auto bypass could be synced to the tempo and set musical intervals.

    • @PluginAllianceTV
      @PluginAllianceTV  Год назад +2

      That's not how the emulated hardware behaves, but thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    • @SteveGietz

      @@PluginAllianceTV Thanks for the reply! That may be the case, but neither does it have TMT nor any M/S features 😊 The beauty of software is that we can improve upon the limitation of the hardware. Anyway, thanks for listening. I do own quite a few PA plugins and you clearly make quality products that sound fantastic. The above was merely a suggestion (albeit, I think a great one 😊)

    • @PluginAllianceTV
      @PluginAllianceTV  Год назад +2

      Brainworx emulations faithfully model both the functionality and circuitry of the original hardware. While it's sometimes an option to add plugin-only features, it's not always feasible for the general result or even possible to modify the signal flow or incorporate functions like sidechaining or make something go to 11. We do however collect your feedback and check what's possible. Therefore, once again thanks for sharing your experience!

    Why did the Auto-Bypass switch off the Bypass LEDs too? The hardware does not do that, as the auto bypass feature main intention is to really listen and not know if the PQ is in bypass or not, thus not fooling yourself thinking that the EQ is sounding better per se. Very important in long sessions. Nonetheless a great demo of the unit (be it virtual or in reality).
