Just found your channel. Awesome lure build. That perch pattern looks unreal

The black perch pattern is a fun and easy paint for sure... Thank you!

looks good, I went on my first musky trip recently, no luck. I did catch a small pike on the first crank bait I've made. Hope to make something as nice as these for next years trip :D

Obvious question for a novice, is....what wood did you use on these? Great build and paint job. Just sub'ed and look forward to more how-to vids

Truth, the wires shouldn't come out. Engineered Angler has done some pretty good testing of this on his channel

Yes his testing is very true.... Embed your hook hangers deep in the bait with epoxy and you will have zero issues!!!!

I personally will NEVER fish another crankbait for musky ever again without it being through wire! Period! I will never suffer that heartbreak again! You can say all you want about it! However, at the end of the day, I must have through wire!

I never said you had to fish without a through wire bait. I guess your entitled to your own opinion. This is the way I make my smaller baits nothing more... Tight lines brother!

I tried several ways to twist that wire and actually it curls for me. So l go through the back. Or I'd do it.
