Thanks Warren, I am 5 years into Salesforce as an CPQ admin. I have tried starting out as Salesforce Developer couple of time and every time failed. I really wish I can code someday.
I love your content and have been following you for awhile. I have my marketing cloud email developer specialist certification and want to pursue my ultimate goal as a salesforce developer. Do I need to take PD1 before I take the marketing cloud developer exam? Or are these two completely different programming paths in the salesforce ecosystem? Thank you in advance.
What is your focus and your end goal? If marketing cloud is paying the bills and you plan on staying in that for a little, then I'd suggest going with the marketing cloud developer cert. You don't need PD1 to be a developer though. I know many devs that have found roles without it but this is becoming rarer which is why in Cloud Code we focus on experience and passing the cert.
I've hired many Salesforce developer without CS degrees and internships. There are other ways like personal projects and portfolios that can showcase your Salesforce experience.
I'm not a salesforce developer but a .net developer. 10 years fortune500. No degree. This a results problem solving business. I'm only as valuable as the problems i can solve. Used to be a salesforce admin credential. With layoffs going back to platform to go into development.
Thank you for your content! Your interview videos were helpful in landing my current admin role!
I'm so happy to hear that. Keep on growing!
Can you make a playlist for the admin interview prep! I’d really appreciate it
