This is my first BMW and this coupe is EVERYTHING...I've gotten many compliments and it rides so smooth on the highway but watch your speed because it'll get away from you before you know it 😎😁
just saw a white 230i when in traffic the other day, and it looks phenomenal. The tail lights look great. I'm not a BMW fan, but I think it's the best looking BMW.
On older BMWs that I am familiar with, the sensor on the rear diff was the speedometer pickup, counting the teeth on the ring gear, and they have had them there since at least 1983.
Congratulations that BMW is finally giving you the attention you’ve earned and deserve. The penguin interaction is a nice “seasonal” treat! Merry Christmas, Sarah. Thank you! 👍👍👍
This is the first BMW I've liked in a long time. I even like the looks of it! I would call the car "Tossable" in reference to its driving enjoyment. This was a very good review. I hope BMW sends you more cars to review. Merry Christmas!
Your little cheesy grin and wave from the back seat in this one. Love it! 😂 No-one does such a brilliant blend of fantastic, detailed knowledgeable car review with hugely imaginative, always varied humour as you.
Totally agree with you on the “lifetime oil” thing. Always be wary of someone telling you something you want to hear. Especially up here where it’s cold, just gotta change the oil spring and fall, more if you put in lots of miles.
"Lifetime oil" was referring to the transmission fluid, not the engine oil. I agree that it's not a lifetime fluid, but you should not be needing to change the transmission fluid twice per year.
Happy holidays and thanks for the gift of a bimmer review! A Porsche review will certainly be coming soon I hope. The 2 is quite a smile making joy machine, and the upper echelon models are incredible, but all truly owe there greatness to such a phenomenal core platform. Stay awesome in '22 and may you enjoy more great rides for us to enjoy vicariously! I sure hope a bmw 135 project car is still catching your attention.
Merry Christmas Sarah! This car seems like the kind of car BMW used to make all the time: a fun, good performing car that uses technology to improve the driving experience, not just to fill in a long list of bells & whistles. The only thing it's missing is a quick shifting manual, but those are quickly becoming extinct. I hope you can take a little time to visit friends and/or family for the holidays!
Finally ... a BMW review! The fill plug for the ZF 8HP is directly above the lifetime fluid label. I just did fluid and pan/filter replacement on two of these. Wonderful transmissions!
That texas rabbit comment rang more true then you could ever believe. I once had a E36 318Ti as a beater, and one spring, when it started to get warmer (i`m from sweden), it started to smell really funky. So i did a proper cleaning inside, checking for hidden hamburgers, waterleaks and such but found nothing. So i went in to the engine compartment and... under the batterybox i found a very deceased rabbit. Apparently, i had hit it during the winter, and it had bounced up between the strut tower and exhaust manifold (NOT a big space), and then gone to rest under the battery. Luckily, after something like 4 months in an engine bay, it was pretty... crispy, so removal wasn`t that grose. But, yeah...I know, i know, my mom is right, i am unique...
Great review Sarah. Informative as always. Thanks for all the great information and entertainment you have provided. I really enjoy your channels and look forward to more great content in the coming year. Have a very Merry Christmas!
I think this will be one of those cars we look back on in 10 years that is popular with the mod crowd and fun for a track car. Kind of like the E36 and E46. I have owned both, I have had E30s, E36, E35M3, and E46 on track. I like the continuation of that trend.
Ogni volta che guardo i tuoi video resto stupito dalla competenza appassionata sulla bella meccanica, piuttosto inusuale in assoluto ed ancora di più per una ragazza. Gli USA sembrano la patria futura per gli appassionati di motori. Grazie
Great videos, great videos she makes. Unlike 80% of the dude car reviews, they don't push their opinions into the reviews. This woman is objective, you must value that in today's day and age.
Just bought one 230I Msport xdrive. Beautiful car, Fun, quick, handles like it’s on rails and surprising great MPG usually around 35-38 on the highway.
I like the car too, affordable fun. I'm with you on lifetime oil. Thanks for your honesty. Short term ownership only. It's bad enough with lifetime transmission fluid in some cars.
You can only be comfy one way and having a wedgie is not part of it! Loved this review. Especially the undercarriage pan and close up shots of all the componentry. Thanks for all the joy and excitement you have given me throughout the year. I have enjoyed becoming a Sarahnista or Tunie. Have a great Christmas season and then send it in the New Year!
Here's a Fun Fact for you. The reason the transmission fluid is lifetime is because BMW considers the "lifetime" of their transmission to be only 100,000 miles. So if you make it there without changing the fluid, mission accomplished!
The manufacturer of the transmission ZF, says to change the transmission fluid and filter at 50,000 miles. The reason for BMW's one year, 12000 mile oil change is because they pay for the first 3 oil changes.
Ahh… Active Pengi in this review, riding into the pic then causing Sarah to reach hi to keep ‘em safe! Another “active” shot included the grill shutters for just a m-sec 👍🎅🎄 Merry Christmas!! 🎄
That active component on the exhaust is used to heat up the catalytic converter quicker. It closes off half of the exhaust till it warms up the converter then opens.
Worth looking at! I picked up a 2022 230i MSport in Thundernight Metallic. Got the M2 in my back pocket for later, but I’m going to enjoy this 230i and all it’s glory for about the next 8-12 months before I ever receive this mystic M2. Sarah, I’ll let ya know when the M2 is ready for a date together, haha! And thanks for your service! Air Force retired myself, back in 2019 and couldn’t be happier just playing with cars most days now.
Great review, Sarah. I'm in total agreement with you on the "lifetime oil" debate. I remember when MBZ first announced lifetime transmission fluid. What they failed to tell consumers was that at around 90,000 miles, the lifetime of the transmission was over! Happy Holidays.
Hi Sarah - So enjoyed this review and am happy you have done a BMW model. Some trivia... I was in the Air Force many years before you but, I also was in Germany. Stationed at Bitburg Air Base - Auto Pilot Tech on F4's. Where were you and what was your tech field? And, for a final note, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! You were beautiful as always!!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, happiness and beauty once again!!!
I rarely comment on RUclips, but that was a great review Sarah. Straight and to the point. Like a turbocharged Doug DeMuro. Maybe do a 2 minute "quirks and features" part in your videos, ;-)
Hey Sarah, this is my second favorite channel nice job on this one pretty much agree with the scoring might Opt for the more expensive paint depending on the color choices and of course the price definitely a great entry level A lot of car there for the money always fun and entertaining merry Christmas🎁🎁🎄🎄👍
Couldn’t agree more! Great review! Love this little car, I feel a bit of a 90s throwback for some reason and it’s frickin awesome! Now I just need my 90 lb husky to shrink a bit and I’ll be set!
I've driven a M2 comp in an autocross environment. "Crazy CheeseWiz flickable" is accurate. Controllable fun oversteer made me feel like a skilled driver. These cars will lock the outside front wheel when the tail gets out beyond a certain point. It eliminates the pivot point before you run out of steering angle, preventing a spin.
Notification while watching the latest Emelia....sorry Emelia gotta pause to watch the local creator.😁 Happy Friday Christmas Edition Sarah!!! Stay excellent!!!😎
I also had an E36 328iC. Which, I bought when I was stationed in Germany. Saved about $12k buying there. Awesome to wring it out on the autobahn, and better still when I brought it home. Kept it for 11+ years and about 150k miles and still sold it for over $7000 before I deployed to Iraq. That inline 6 was a dream esp. hooked up to a manual. Can't understand the perennial push towards slushboxes.
I got fed up with dual clutch gearboxes that couldn't creep nicely in traffic (jerky like h) jjjjj and ended up with the only car that had an 8 speed NORMAL gearbox in it at the time! It turned out it's the best 8 speed auto box in the world....!
Always thought your were extremely appealing ...but now I’ve heard you say “Al-u-minium” I’ve now upgraded you to awesome. 😁. Thank you for your hard work & content for this year & best wishes for the new year...
This is my first BMW and this coupe is EVERYTHING...I've gotten many compliments and it rides so smooth on the highway but watch your speed because it'll get away from you before you know it 😎😁
any complaints on your 230? Hows the maintenance cost? Thinking of getting one.
Placed an order for a 2023 230i black sapphire metallic with the M sport, premium, and shadowline packages. Now the wait! Awesome review!
This gal is amazing. Hard working, intelligent and funny. Merry Christmas 🎅
Sarah looks like an Angel going to choir practice and the bright white garage looks like heaven.
just saw a white 230i when in traffic the other day, and it looks phenomenal. The tail lights look great. I'm not a BMW fan, but I think it's the best looking BMW.

So far the most thorough 2022 230i review on RUclips. Thanks You, order placed!
Behold, The BEST car reviewer anywhere! A brilliant mix of factual, tech data and personal impressions.
First BMW I’ve seen in a very long time that I would consider buying! Looks, performance and price are compelling.
Thank u Sarah for ALL the content this year😘
Congratulations that BMW is finally giving you the attention you’ve earned and deserve. The penguin interaction is a nice “seasonal” treat! Merry Christmas, Sarah. Thank you! 👍👍👍
Sure, who doesn't love a little demonic penguin action during the holidays.
The Penguins are on the job all year round, not just Winter Time and I wish you a Merry Christmas. Cheers Primus 54

Merry Christmas!
Idk, I’ve had a lot of BMWs and this is my least favorite design by far. It needs to return to the older double halo headlights
@@roninbushida1180 imagine buying a car because the headlight design
WOW one more before Christmas, I think you will get some more BMW's to review. You are awesome thank you for the great content and cars.
Your little cheesy grin and wave from the back seat in this one. Love it! 😂
No-one does such a brilliant blend of fantastic, detailed knowledgeable car review with hugely imaginative, always varied humour as you.
@wurlyone4685 - agree - so many positive descriptors, Like 👍
Totally agree with you on the “lifetime oil” thing. Always be wary of someone telling you something you want to hear. Especially up here where it’s cold, just gotta change the oil spring and fall, more if you put in lots of miles.
Lifetime means, a certain lifetime is intended by BMW.
"Lifetime oil" was referring to the transmission fluid, not the engine oil. I agree that it's not a lifetime fluid, but you should not be needing to change the transmission fluid twice per year.
I’m a truck guy, but definitely want this car as a second vehicle for pleasure cruising etc. Very nice! 👍
Merry Christmas Sarah!
Absolutely LOVE your mechanical reviews!
Merry Christmas beautiful Sarah!
I love the tweaks to the format and yeah... it was worth the wait. 😀
Merry Christmas Sarah , thanks for all your content this year , really enjoyed it.
I cannot get enough of your enthusiastic reviews. Please keep them coming!
What a great review, especially like the fact that you showed the underbelly of mechanical bits which is a big bonus 👍
Merry Christmas Sarah !!! Thank you for all the beautiful reviews and all the other content. :)
Great review, so much fun to ride with you. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night (?)
I think that has to be one of the only braking tests that started with a "Ooooo" and didn't end with a "Jeez!"
Ya know for a reviewer they picked the right one with Sarah as the narrator. 🤣💯
Happy holidays Sarah. Thanks for producing such great content.
Thank you for your service, thanks for all you do for us, and Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
I'm impressed. You made this BMW seem Attractive and fun.
Merry Christmas Sarah

I really like how your channel is developing. Congratulations! Merry Christmas!
I've been hoping to see a review of this car that went in-depth on the underside. This was extremely helpful, thank you.
🎄 Merry Christmas Sarah 🎄

Love BMW, no particular reason. Thank you for the review.
Merry Christmas, Sarah! Another great video and another beautiful car.
Merry Christmas!
Congratulations on your first BMW!
Great to see a BMW review
Great videos, great videos she makes. Unlike 80% of the dude car reviews, they don't push their opinions into the reviews. This woman is objective, you must value that in today's day and age.
I loved how your hair went forward during the brake test :D
A detailed review, thank you.
There is nothing like lifetime fluid. We learned the hard way with Subaru CVT.
Imagining Sarah with winglets. Nope. Perfect can’t be messed with.
Hi Sarah, great to see a Bimmer on the channel at last. may it be the first of many.
I am really loving the new BMWs. Nicely done, Sarah!
Just bought one 230I Msport xdrive. Beautiful car, Fun, quick, handles like it’s on rails and surprising great MPG usually around 35-38 on the highway.
life time oil is the life time of the warranty
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!
Great review Sarah! Happy holydays 🎄
Very cool review. Merry Christmas, Sarah.

That’s also why oil change intervals are so long on many new vehicles.
The manufacturer only cares about parts surviving the warranty period.

What up garage science Sara!! Love the content and happy holidays!💪🏁
Merry Christmas Sarah. Great review. Had a BMW 328i (E36) in the late 90ties. Gorgeous inline 6. 🎄🇺🇸🇩🇪
