I understand the app has been updated since I made this video, now featuring bookmarks and street view.

Thanks for taking a look! Just so you know you can actually use traditional joystick controls if you prefer. We do think the native controls add to the experience, but sometimes you just wanna Fly when seated :) Also, the speed is based on your elevation, so to go faster you go higher than back down!

Good to know, thank you. I guess I flew through the tutorial! Wishing you every success with the app, I know a lot of people online were asking about a standalone Google Earth VR and you are doing a great job of it with FLY.

at least 28 Canadian cities are in 3D, but province and territory names are still missing. It is interesting to see by the shadow that the guy who did the streetview camera in Iqaluit, NU simply walked around the whole town.

Here are some videos showing the newly-added Street View functionality in Fly (Yes, I know one of them is your video! Just wanted to share with others.):

How did you bring up the search screen?

Hi. You click on the flat button with three lines on your left controller, then click Destinations to get the search option.

Is this similar to Earthquest app available in Meta Store ?

@@solocede I’ve not heard of Earthquest, I’ll have to check it out.

Yes it is similar to Earthquest but I find this one easier to use.

It is a very good app. I also use Earthquest, Wooorld, AnyWR and Wander as standalone exploration apps that use the Google Earth imagery. I have to say I am finding this one the easiest to use.

Yes, I liked Wooorld, although it’s got more of a social focus. I’ve not been in Wander for ages, will have to see if it’s had any updates. Really enjoying the mechanics of FLY 😃

@@richardclarkeade Wander is still just Google Maps with 360 Street View, so no updates that I have seen, and no 3D modelling. Street View on Fly is a great addition but doesn't yet allow you to "walk" like you can in Wander, and of course Google Earth VR, which is still the daddy if you have a suitable PC to run it through.

Is it better than earthquest ?

@@Fun9to5 Hi. Sorry, I haven’t tried Earthquest yet, so I cannot give an opinion. Others have said Fly is the easiest to use.
