The band sounds great, except they desperately needed a rhythm guitarist (like on the studio version). As usual Robert Plant sounds like a Zep tribute band singer who can’t hit any of the high notes.
Tickets went on sale at midnight! It was announced at 10 pm that night. In person at the Cap Centre (as it was known) the party in the parking lot and lines were as notorious as a any of the concerts I've been to. Spent that night with my best friend at the time navigating the waters as precocious 14 yr. olds. Smoked a lot that night, but if I remember correctly that night 3 shows sold out in 6 hrs. and they added a 4th. Those were the times. I've been clean for 28yrs. and change due to my inability to function using dope but what an experience. I hope my friend Holly is doing well. Wow!

I agree. I enjoyed this performance but his prime was in '73 when the solo's were more layered and thoughtful. He stuck to the brilliant note for note tab he layed out for the "Song Remains the Same" film then got away from it or it got away from him when he rode the dragon to hard.

Very sloppy/too fast live version of "Rock & Roll". Bonham plays too fast, Page is sloppy as usual on the '77 tour, Jones' bass barely heard & Plant's voice isn't what it was pre 1975. I also don't like the small "breaks" that emerges here & there. Listen to the '73 version from MSG. That's MY Zep!
That lead break at 1:50 . . was so bad, I swear he was playing in the wrong key. So embarassing for the group, Jimmy must've been on some heavy gear that night.
