My favorite part of here comes a thought is the fact that Connie's fear isn't belittled. Her problems and fears many not be as big as steven's, but it is still shown to be valid. Being scared of hurting people because of the strength she's gain is a valid fear. It's showed that no matter how big or small the problem is, everyone deserves to be heard and helped.
Yes, I can relate I have a heavy hit and pretty strong but not muscular or anything but just strong But it's all contained by my Kindness and chance giving as a long time ago I could of donr something worse to my bully-...
Here Comes A Thought is about confronting your anxieties in a healthy way -- accepting that someone said something hurtful to you, or that you made a mistake that caused harm in some way, and being able to pull back and recognize that it's gonna be okay. You just need to meet the issue head-on so you can move on from it. In the show, a character accidentally hurt another student at school when he startled her and her combat training kicked in. She was ashamed of herself for hurting him but chose to let her guilt fester. In the end, she talks with the other kid and apologizes, and that simple confrontation was able to relieve her of that anxiety. Steven Universe is really a special show, as far as the themes they explore and the messages they share with kids. I mean, can you think of another cartoon that explicitly teaches kids about managing anxiety and reaching a healthy headspace?
Absolutely none. And thats why I was shocked because sometimes music is dumbed down specifically subject matter because I feel like adults feel like kids won't get it or can't handle it, but these are things in life that kids are going to face!
@@DavidTheHooman I think SU definitely does so more strongly but OK KO also has some powerful stuff leaning that way. Definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet.
I was about 9 when I started watching SU and I am so happy this show came into my life, I was in really dark place and cartoons were some of the only things that kept me going, the fact that this show deals with so much stuff like depression, toxic realationships, self worth, being “overemotional” and grief really helped me to understand my feelings and to know that I was not alone and it was ok to have these feelings, it also helped me to confront them and superate them. I am so greatful for what SU and the crew did and I own them my life
The problem I have is that I still feel constantly depressed because of the immature way I handled myself as a child. Although most people would say it is normal to be immature as a child, I was several years behind my peers and there are still some people who keep reminding me of what a disappointment I was to them. I see the point to the song but without the support of those around you, it is difficult to forgive yourself and move forward; and so I continue to live alone with my cat.
Same, I suffer from OCD aswell. Always having these bad thoughts and compulsions due to my doubts and worries. This song helps me understand the reality of things😊😆

This is what I listen to after a Panic Attack/Sensory Overload and it's so therapeutic. Estelle worked with Rebecca Sugar and another musical artist (I can't remember his name, but he's a rapper like Estelle) and they all discussed mental health issues like Depression and Anxiety, which are the main causes of emotions like what Sapphire and Connie felt, when making the song and writing the lyrics
And like I said before it is so important to make these songs. Because the last thing you want another person to feel is alone, and there is nothing or no one that gets. Then there is a song or at least someone that understands!
Yo Steven Universe is full of amazing songs with different genres, so I’m so happy you’re reacting to their songs as well! “Escapsim”, “Love Like You” and “Familiar” are such amazing songs and I highly recommend! Can’t wait for your next video, love what you do!
David The Hooman I have a long list of songs I could recommend you look into from the show ranging from hopeful and wholesome to tragic, if you’re wanting context to what your listening to, “Happily Ever After” from the movie is designed to catch you up on all the important story and emotion beats up to the movie for new comers or maybe people who were behind on the series. “Stronger Than You” is another Garnet favorite who is voiced by Estelle who used to be in the band TLC, most of the songs are short by design because episodes are less than 15 minuets a piece so they don’t have time for an extra long song. If you want to just have a soundgasm from the harmonies, I recommend “Just Let Us Adore You” from the movie either the first time or the reprise (though spoilers be there especially the reprise) are mostly 3 Broadway legends singing in harmony together, if you want a song that’ll just rip your heart out and break it again from the movie I’d highly recommend “Drift Away”. Another fan favorite duet song is “Do It For Her” which has the character you reacted to last time.
@@SerenityM16 Do It For Her is a reaction video I would love to watch just because of the lyrical story itself, although musically there are better options.
honestly it’s just so helpful😭 it helps you remember it’s only a thought and that everything will be ok, and both of their voices together are so beautiful and it just sounds amazing
SUGGESTION: Steven's voice actor does have an album that tells a story with all the songs, react to them (in multiple videos, or 1 long one) the lyrics are very intentional, and musically it has some unexpected stuff. The album is called "A Picture Perfect Hollywood Heartbreak" and i wish more people knew about it.
yes!! i found out about the album recently and have been listening to it non stop!! its sooo good. although I was a little shocked hearing him swear/snort COKE at first lol. i was like "wait wha-"
Not sure if you’ve seen anything about the show, but an important note is that there’s only 4 characters in the music video. The two singers are (without getting too deep into the show) basically a physical manifestation of the kids’ relationships. First singer is the relationship between red headband girl, and the blue one-eyed girl, and the second singer is the relationship between Steven and his friend Connie (the two characters on the thumbnail) The idea is mostly that the singers will fall apart and cease to exist if the two people who made them don’t love and trust each other. They **are** a relationship, and I always thought that was a beautiful bit of artistic storytelling in the show
Hats off to you! In Steven Universe characters are often represented through instruments that play while they are in focus, Garnet (The character singing) is represented by Synth and Bass, the first things you picked up on. (for those wondering Amethyst is drums, Pearl is Piano, Rose is Strings, and Steven is chiptune. Listen to the fusion musics and you'll hear this, it's a great detail)
Connie's is violin iirc, and Greg's is a guitar. Also, you really do wanna pay attention to the soundtrack, it has a heck of a lot of subtle clues (like how Rose's instruments occasionally had the Diamond Chord in them). It's a whole other depth to the show that genuinely transforms a viewing experience, there's so much packed into the soundtrack!
@@DavidTheHooman Lol they're the singers. Estelle voices Garnet, the girl with the block head, and AJ voices Stevonnie, the person with the curly hair. 😄
Christ, I legitimately can't listen to this song without crying cause even if they aren't necessarily speaking to the watcher, it still tells them that it's okay no matter what you're dealing with, you've got people on your side. Always really nice to hear especially with the way things are now Edit: Thank you for all the likes everyone 😳🥺
Honestly same. So much just resonates so well when I'm feeling vulnerable, and that "it's okay it's okay it's okay" really hits differently when I feel overwhelmed
Ok, I know nothing about breathing exercises... but the " it was just a thought just a thought just a thought just a thought just a thought" and similar, if sung out loud, really feel like I can finally empty my lungs *fully*. It's very very calming, and very on point with the theme of the song, which is what makes it so brilliant to me.
This song helped me so much while I was starting my PTSD treatment: that negative things that was done to me and then I turned around and did to others in that endless wheel of abuse. It reminded me to breath, to forgive self when I have a bad day, that things will be better and I will be okay. Steven universe is a show that in many ways, saved me.
You should totally listen to "Mother" and "Loneliest Girl" from Carole and Tuesday- both are such gorgeous songs with beautiful stories and meanings behind them
I am so happy I grew up on SU. This show taught me how to deal with anxiety and how it’s not okay to bottle up emotions. I am constantly thinking about how I would have turned out without this show. It always gave such a beautiful message when I needed one, and I felt a special connection with the show and the characters because of this. Steven universe will always hold a piece of my heart.
Can I recommend Steven Universe’s “Let’s only think about love” and RWBY’s “The Triumph”? They’re both brilliant songs that I think you might enjoy. Love watching your reactions! Keep up the good work!
I just like how in this episode, the song showed that it was The girl Connie who had so much to think about that it is what threatens their relationship hence their skills in fusion with steven, but in the end it was steven who had so muchhh more on his platee , every issue every problem every thing that traumatized him was so surreal and deep and never could have predicted that but it was super relatable in the part where sometimes you think you have bigger problems but it was your partner who had more or also has problems like you too,.., the show is just awesome that way,
I think it's also a commentary on how different people cope with things they identify as trauma. Some people, when confronted with the trauma, can't cope and simply fall apart, like Ruby and Connie did. But in turn, they're also likelier to do something about the trauma, confront it, and (hopefully) overcome it. The other side of this spectrum is represented through Steven and Sapphire, i.e. burying the trauma as a coping mechanism and pretending everything is alright. It starts off small and easy to ignore, but soon becomes too momentous, and the crash and fall are much harder because it wasn't dealt with. I don't believe the song was implying that Connie's and Ruby's issues were invalidated because they weren't as bad as Sapphire's and Steven's, but rather passively pointing out that everyone works through and deals with their issues differently.
It's definitely quite the experience. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but what it does is far more important than that. I've even found that I keep discovering more and more new things with every rewatch!
Hearing the voice for Stevonnie is so perfect. They have a melody so soothing and calm. And then Garnet and her va: Estelle, just compliments Aj Michalka. The meaning hits you hard too. It has helped me get through so much.
I absolutely LOVE Garnet and this song it's so something she'd help with and the voice actress Estelle has an amazing voice and it just makes this song 10000x better
As someome with borderline personality disorder, this song means so much to me. Its about not only being hurt by others, but lashing out and hurting people close to you and carrying that shame and being scared of yourself and thats something I have dealt with a lot. This song teaches love and trust and the incredibly underrated flexibility. I love the sound, feeling, and message of this song so much.
Steven Universe is a HUGE series about personal growth and personal acceptance as well as interpersonal acceptance. It tackled a lot of adult issues that aren't talked about until late teens or early adulthood, when it comes crashing on you, talked about at the wrong time. This show prepares children for those topics, issues not touched on by anything in it's genre or demographic. Parents' problems being put on you, talking about accepting LGBTQ+ by featuring it but not talking about it, like it's a normal part of life. Which, for me, my boyfriend, a bunch of my friends, and a growing minority... it is a normal part of life. It touches on toxic relationships both romantic and business. It talks about facing your past and insecurities and growing from them, raising above them. Several episodes were banned in other countries because of the undertones. Hell, one episode was banned because it featured same-sex marriage. Arguably the climax of the series was banned because of some religious belief that has turned into a social belief, that gay is wrong. Even here in America, it's a controversial show, yet Cartoon Network let it slide. They forced the production team into constraints they didn't want. 15 minute episodes, 20 episodes a year, random 'Steven Bomb' releases of 5-6 episodes at a time, often with 4-5 months between. Forced filler episodes, forced to change some aspects of the story. The team hated it but wanted to get some version of the story out, even if it wasn't the one they wanted. They ended up not being able to tell the whole story they wanted. Rebecca Sugar, the creator of the show and lead of the team has spoken that it will be back in some form. Comics, webtoons, netflix/hulu. But this time, it will be the story they wanted to tell, start to finish. Also, Garnet, the square headed lady singing, is voiced by the famous UK pop singer Estelle. Both when talking and singing.
I have to get back to editing now but that is an amazing feat for creators to continually break the mold. And creating positive ideals for the next generation coming up
@@DavidTheHooman Yes it is! This is how we should move forward and open equality. With peace and acceptance, no matter how slow. Violence and aggression only brings violence and aggression and slows progress all together.
I love this song so much. One thing that I find really cool and thoughtful about the show and the characters is that Rebecca Sugar has an instrument/genre to characterize every character. The two songs you listened to with Garnet has synths, and the one with Pearl her instrument is the piano
@@DavidTheHooman DIDN'T THEY THO?! Aivi and Surasshu play big parts in the musical production of the show. I'm not too familiar with other projects they lend their talents to but they do have their own works out there too!
I really love the parallels in this scene when Connie lays down with Ruby, and Saph lays with Steven. Both Steven and sapphire dont help themselves when they have so many problems, but they see their partners have one problem and worry for them
As someone dealing with anxiety and depression issues (and whos needed to go the extra step into outpatient care in the past) this song was probably the most tear inducing thing in the series for me. Its ENTIRELY talking about mindfulness, a real concept in mental health and wellbeing. That sort of practiced way of trying to let thoughts and feelings just happen, and not dwelling on them beyond whats helpful. (Obviously im oversimplifying it). And to have a song in a kid friendly cartoon jist go on for several minutes about something thats been a major positive breakthrough in my own life jist broke me. Not to mention the secondary message of supporting each other, and reaching out for help (something im personally terrible at). X3
Steven Universe has been such a huge part of my life since it first aired!! The show was absolutely phenomenal and I especially loved this song, bc Garnet’s character means so much and AJ is absolutely wonderful as well!!
This song is so deep for a children's show, just wow. It's so soft and great, and I personally listen to it when I regret things so much and I just feel terrible. It's so therapeutic, and it's just a great song just for a children's show.
One of my favorite parts of being in band was recognizing and being able to pick out some of the instruments in music, whether from instrumental concert pieces or in songs like this. I wanted to learn to play the guitar for a while, but I realize I may not have the drive to actually become really good at it. It's kind of a shame how things turned out for me, but I will always enjoy music just as I always have. I love these videos of yours. I may not have learned to play anything besides the trumpet, but man, I'm learning from your videos still. I love these reactions to songs from some of my favorite cartoons and movies.
Honestly when he told me he was doing these it I was pretty hype he actually asked me about a couple of the Steven Universe songs and I told him they slap. -D`Arie the Bot
This song helps me a lot.. and I don’t know if I have anxiety or depression because I can’t afford therapy or whatever but I do get worried every single day and stressed so I put on this song and it reminds me that whatever I’m going through it’s going to be okay.. as long as I try and continue being happy. I suggest love like you! It’s a really beautiful song and it means a lot as well!
"I wish the world was like this (wholesome) !" Well.. That is why we humans create. To momentarily immerse ourselves in a different setting. To put ourselves in a position that we want to see.
Steven Universe has so many amazing songs. Not just one or two but they put so much care into each one of them. You've already done some of my favorites, other notable ones I can think of are Other Friends, Drift Away, Familiar, Who we are (the vocals in those make me so happy) and of course the opening (extended) and ending. The music was honestly what drew me into the show alongside the characters and the art once I finally started paying attention to the backgrounds more. I hope you enjoy these songs, or enjoy watching it if you ever decide to give the show a try (if you do I am 100% ok with waiting for more song reactions since a lot of the top favorites can be mildly spoilery.) If spoilers don't matter the ones I mentioned are amazing, as is a VERY short track 'Change your Mind' Escapism is hauntingly pretty (and sung by the character with the longer hair that sang in this one) It's hard to pick just one amazing song when I ended up just loving them all.
Whenever I feel stressed or have anxiety attacks I come to this song, as it’s emotional, but it calms me. Not only the soothing melody, but the knowledge that it talks about things that I can personally relate to. Why cant people be this comforting in real life? S m h 🤧
I have very bad social anxiety, controlling it gets very tough, sometimes impossible with doctors also suspecting I might have PTSD. But this song is very special to me, I'm a singer and singing this song helps me level my anxiety. Everyone out there like me, you're not alone and we can all overcome this together! Take a moment to think about flexibility, trust and love.
All of Garnet's songs in Steven Universe kick ass. Rebecca Sugar's a great songwriter who knows her way around a chord or two, and Estelle's smooth, crystal-clear delivery synthesizes so beautifully with that because that's also a part of _her_ style.
By the way, I'm pretty sure Rebecca Sugar (the songwriter) also played the ukulele riff at the end of the song. She's an incredible instrumentalist, and as a decent ukulelist myself, I should know - her stuff is leagues above anything I could hope to do. There are a lot of complex chords in this song, and I'd bet my bottom that Sugar based them all off a uke test track.
Ruby (small red woman) and Sapphire (small one eyed woman) are the two components who make up Garnet (sunglasses). They love each other so much, they hate to be apart, so they are almost always fused together
This song means a lot to me as well as most of the songs from steven universe. I have social anxiety and trauma so I worry about a lot and I worry about what others or I may say. So the song is a good way to be mindful when feeling bad thoughts.
This song about anxiety and how to cope with it is beautiful..but it also shows how each character handles negative thoughts: .Ruby confronts ever little problem too aggressively . sapphire let's her negativity surround and suffocate her .connie bottles her negativity to the litteral breaking point
Awww! I love all of Steven Universes music and Im really stoked to see you like and relate to the songs too! Part of why I watch reactions is to see other people finding enjoyment and getting into things I like. And your reactions are always really honest and that’s awesome! My Steven Universe song rec is “Love Like You” since its a song from the earlier seasons and the message carries through a lot of the series. Theres some debate about if the song is being sung by - or to - one character or another but I think its less important than the emotion the song carries. Great video and I look forward to the next one!
Thanks so much! These songs are astounding! Stay posted on the community tab where once a week David picks the most liked request as well as one obscure request. -Charles The Robot
This is one of my favorite songs to play on my ukulele when I’m stressed over something, or to record and send to my friends when they’re stressed and to just try and make them feel better
I've always loved Steven Universe's songs. A lot of them are really heavy-hitting and get important messages across, especially knowing that its audience is little kids who really should be hearing this stuff instead of the typical garbage that's become so mainstream. Here Comes A Thought really focuses on reminding you to take some time for yourself and that there are people there for you and that you shouldn't dwell on something that happened that you are ashamed of. As someone who suffers from depression, this song is a good reminder that I'm not alone and that I shouldn't let one little thing bug me so much. I think the only thing that was ever off to me about this song was that Estelle sounded like she was trying to hit a register that was just too high for her to reach, although I've found a lot of Garnet's songs to sound that way. It often sounds like she's running out of breath or straining to hit a high note to me. Otherwise, beautiful song, as expected from this series.
At 4:00 that was so nice and comforting to listen to because it was so true. In any relationship that you have with friends, family, significant other, miscommunication and things surrounding that can happen
This has become my grounding song whenever I feel an anxiety or panic attack coming along. I love Steven Universe so much and when this song happened, it brought me to tears.
Goodness now I wanna hear your thoughts on Drift Away from the Steven Universe movie lol. But anyway this song is incredibly wholesome and not only acknowledges an issue/topic, but walks you through things to do and tell yourself to help mitigate the effects without being incredibly upfront about it. The lyrics and instrumentation just work so beautifully together and I absolutely love it. I find myself idly humming it quite often because it's so catchy too
I remember listening to this song a few days ago while having a breakdown and I was crying even harder but the song came to an end and suddenly everything felt okay again. I'm not completely sure why, but this song has become a comfort for me and I certainly hold it close to my heart.
The song that shook the Steven Universe fandom to its core and forever raised the bar on what a song could be is Stronger Than You I think you’d really enjoy the creative way the artists took the idea of a song in a fight scene and made something genuinely epic. I’d love to see your reaction and I’d also love to hear you with your music background kind of break the song down. (I recently started studying music theory so it is so so cool that you’re doing this series. Hearing musicians talk music and music technical stuff about songs that I love is like a dream! Subscribing to you and watching the rest of your videos now!)
Me listening: dang nice song! David listening: definitely relatable like when your in a relationship and something is said that can’t be unsaid! Me: 🙃Yeah I thought the same thing…
I haven't gotten around to watching Steven Universe, but this song legit made me cry despite having no in-show context. I truly wish that songs like this had more of a place in mainstream music. Not just something with a catchy beat and nonsensical/shallow lyrics, but something that truly evokes genuine emotions and makes you really listen.
Awesome show, awesome songs, awesome reaction! Really, Steven Universe hits home with many different songs and episodes. It's a great show with incredible lessons and just so much emotion
Honestly I feel like Steven universe is the perfect show for me It’s not my top favorites due to…other reasons. But it’s a good show that helps me through depression, Anxiety, social anxiety, PTSD, racism (no I’m not black but I’ve been judged for being white and all), betrayal, mommy issues, daddy issues, And on top of all that Coming out as bisexual bigender. Multiple things that can hit in this show. No there’s not a character with ALL of these, but I relate to a lot of things due to these parts of myself. And finally a show that doesn’t sorely focus on religion or gods (im a Christian but geez im not religious)
I love listening to this song when I have a breakdown or am just generally stressed in some way. It's such a perfect song for calming someone down and I love that so much.
Steven universe songs are so amazing and i have loved the show since i was really young and growing up watching a show that is so beautiful and touching is such a gift to me and i will always be thankful to the makers of Steven universe. This song helped me through a really low point in my life because of my depression and anxiety. I really owe a lot to this masterpiece it’s so beautiful. it reminded me that thoughts and horrible memories are just thoughts and you are ok,you will be ok,and you are loved I miss this show so much
the fact that i cried through this song because the meaning so just beautiful and calms me down to the point where i emotionally break down and cry so much because the lyrics hit home

If your wondering who the other person singing with garnet (the one with the square hair xd) is, that’s Stevonnie, she’s Steven(the main character) and Connie(the one with Steven in the sequence at 2:55) combined into a fusion.
As someone who secretly suffers from trauma and other issues. this is my favorite show and favorite song. it means alot to know that someone (lyrics) gets me comfort that i don't get from others. I just listen to these lyrics in my head when something goes wrong. which it always does. if anyone need to talk just reply to my comment and i can give my discord.
this is literally the only song that. I EVER. heard that makes me emotional and ive heard ever over eteven unicerse song plus so many other songs , i just hits the feels way to hard, im go cry now
“Do it for her” is another song that hits you with raw emotion imo- And “isn’t it love” is another favorite of mine. It flourishes with such this bright feeling of love that I just...adore it
My favorite part of here comes a thought is the fact that Connie's fear isn't belittled. Her problems and fears many not be as big as steven's, but it is still shown to be valid. Being scared of hurting people because of the strength she's gain is a valid fear. It's showed that no matter how big or small the problem is, everyone deserves to be heard and helped.

Yo Steven Universe is full of amazing songs with different genres, so I’m so happy you’re reacting to their songs as well! “Escapsim”, “Love Like You” and “Familiar” are such amazing songs and I highly recommend! Can’t wait for your next video, love what you do!
Very good recommendations
thank you, your really kinds! and no worries I just have to finish this weeks work good news there is only three more videos left to record and edit!
David The Hooman, I highly recommend watching the show, if nothing else at least you'll know more of the context for the songs
@@SerenityM16 Do It For Her is a reaction video I would love to watch just because of the lyrical story itself, although musically there are better options.
Estelle (the VA for Garnet) has said in panel interviews that this song helps her breathe in real life when she's anxious or upset
honestly it’s just so helpful😭 it helps you remember it’s only a thought and that everything will be ok, and both of their voices together are so beautiful and it just sounds amazing
In love with his EP! It's so good!
yes omg
yes!! i found out about the album recently and have been listening to it non stop!! its sooo good. although I was a little shocked hearing him swear/snort COKE at first lol. i was like "wait wha-"
Where do I find it?
@@pupup1119 spotify, youtube i assume any other music streaming platform...
Not sure if you’ve seen anything about the show, but an important note is that there’s only 4 characters in the music video.
The two singers are (without getting too deep into the show) basically a physical manifestation of the kids’ relationships.
First singer is the relationship between red headband girl, and the blue one-eyed girl, and the second singer is the relationship between Steven and his friend Connie (the two characters on the thumbnail)
The idea is mostly that the singers will fall apart and cease to exist if the two people who made them don’t love and trust each other. They **are** a relationship, and I always thought that was a beautiful bit of artistic storytelling in the show
Ruby and sapphire or hot head and blue cyclops
Hats off to you! In Steven Universe characters are often represented through instruments that play while they are in focus, Garnet (The character singing) is represented by Synth and Bass, the first things you picked up on. (for those wondering Amethyst is drums, Pearl is Piano, Rose is Strings, and Steven is chiptune. Listen to the fusion musics and you'll hear this, it's a great detail)
Oo the fusion attempts compilation might be nice
Oh wow i never noticed this, welp time to rewatch the show! 😂
Damn I never even noticed this...
@@eaglefan2569 I never picked up on the Diamond Chord! Thanks for the heads up!
AJ Michalka and Estelle are both just.... 😤 🤧👌💕
Although I don't know them I can tell they mean alot from the sheer numbers of emojis you have here! 😂
@@DavidTheHooman Lol they're the singers. Estelle voices Garnet, the girl with the block head, and AJ voices Stevonnie, the person with the curly hair. 😄
I'm new here what with the number it the corner just a question :) have a great day
@@andrewslater4927 there's a FAQ that'll answer the question for you.
@@midnightthoughts8519 ok thank you and have a great day
Christ, I legitimately can't listen to this song without crying cause even if they aren't necessarily speaking to the watcher, it still tells them that it's okay no matter what you're dealing with, you've got people on your side. Always really nice to hear especially with the way things are now
Edit: Thank you for all the likes everyone 😳🥺
Same, I always tear up hearing this song.
I only watch su for the songs. Other than that i feel like su ....isnt that amazing like ppl put it in my opinion.
Honestly same. So much just resonates so well when I'm feeling vulnerable, and that "it's okay it's okay it's okay" really hits differently when I feel overwhelmed
I was already tearing up at the beginning at the song lol.
Same 😩🥺🥲
Best Song from this series is Stronger Than You. Highly suggest it. Good work man, keep it up!
for sure and thank you! let me just get done with these last three videos and I will look back here and check to see what has the most love. 👍🏾
Noted its on my reaction list!
You should totally listen to "Mother" and "Loneliest Girl" from Carole and Tuesday- both are such gorgeous songs with beautiful stories and meanings behind them
we will definitely get to it given a long enough time frame lol
Seconded. But maybe just watch the whole anime cause dayum
My mom: why are you crying.
Me: this song relates to me too much, it’s beautiful.
Awwwwwwww I'm so happy this show did something that has stuck with people all this time!
The Steven Universe songs are just one emotional rollercoaster to the next... makes me tear up most of the time
Steven Universe Future - Drift Away
You’ve heard the feels. Now it’s time to cry. 🙂
Can I recommend Steven Universe’s “Let’s only think about love” and RWBY’s “The Triumph”? They’re both brilliant songs that I think you might enjoy. Love watching your reactions! Keep up the good work!
thank you, and I come back here after these last three videos I have to record and edit have a musical day ✌🏾
I just like how in this episode, the song showed that it was The girl Connie who had so much to think about that it is what threatens their relationship hence their skills in fusion with steven, but in the end it was steven who had so muchhh more on his platee , every issue every problem every thing that traumatized him was so surreal and deep and never could have predicted that but it was super relatable in the part where sometimes you think you have bigger problems but it was your partner who had more or also has problems like you too,.., the show is just awesome that way,
I think it's also a commentary on how different people cope with things they identify as trauma.
@@eaglefan2569 I think future showed this VERY well
One of my favorites songs of steven universe is "that distant shore" 💙
Yasssssssssss
My wife loves this show but I haven't had the time yet to watch. Still really want to, such good vibes from it.
its feels like a warm hug!
U should watch it with her! I think it would be great time together 🥰
It's definitely quite the experience. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but what it does is far more important than that. I've even found that I keep discovering more and more new things with every rewatch!
omg please react to Steven Universe: Stronger Then You. as well as Other Friends. two amazing songs and i think you'd enjoy!
Hearing the voice for Stevonnie is so perfect. They have a melody so soothing and calm. And then Garnet and her va: Estelle, just compliments Aj Michalka. The meaning hits you hard too. It has helped me get through so much.
These must be so confusing for someone who hasn't seen Steven Universe lol
Nah, I just like music but it is weird seeing the girl with one eye now that i think about it!
@@DavidTheHooman
Actually Garnet (the lady who first started singing) has three differently colored eyes
No no he meant sapphire, not garnet
@@DavidTheHooman A lot of SU songs are better with context
I recommend Steven Universe’s “Do It For Her”
HELL YEAH THATS PERFECT
Yesss
SAME!
Oh yes! Definitely!
I absolutely LOVE Garnet and this song it's so something she'd help with and the voice actress Estelle has an amazing voice and it just makes this song 10000x better
didn't know about her until this but this song is so sweet!
This song always gives me goose bumps, I know this was a year ago but I'm glad you reacted to it.
The lyrics do show a really real thing. Guilt compounds and builds on itself
From Steven Universe, I'd have to recommend Love like You.
This song is widely considered to be one of the very best from the entire show
I love this song so much.
One thing that I find really cool and thoughtful about the show and the characters is that Rebecca Sugar has an instrument/genre to characterize every character. The two songs you listened to with Garnet has synths, and the one with Pearl her instrument is the piano
thats super cool! and they SLAYED PEARLS PIANO ARRANGEMENT
The show was absolutely phenomenal and I especially loved this song, bc Garnet’s character means so much and AJ is absolutely wonderful as well!!
yessss this is such a good song!!! It's one of my favorites~ Another good song from steven universe would be Independent Together!
I must say I wasn’t expecting someone to still be making content about Steven universe ever again, since it ended. It’s nice to see it
Honestly when he told me he was doing these it I was pretty hype he actually asked me about a couple of the Steven Universe songs and I told him they slap.
Omg its yanfei
Him: GOOSBUMPS!
Me: Welcome to Steven Universe Music 😌💅
ACCURATE.
"I wish the world was like this (wholesome) !"
Well..
I hope you enjoy these songs, or enjoy watching it if you ever decide to give the show a try (if you do I am 100% ok with waiting for more song reactions since a lot of the top favorites can be mildly spoilery.)
If spoilers don't matter the ones I mentioned are amazing, as is a VERY short track 'Change your Mind'
Escapism is hauntingly pretty (and sung by the character with the longer hair that sang in this one)
It's hard to pick just one amazing song when I ended up just loving them all.
Whenever I feel stressed or have anxiety attacks I come to this song, as it’s emotional, but it calms me. Not only the soothing melody, but the knowledge that it talks about things that I can personally relate to. Why cant people be this comforting in real life? S m h 🤧
I don’t know why, but this song feels like the kind of song that would suit me when I fall apart over an existential crisis
"its okay its okay its okay its okay its okay"
3:50 What are those light effects that match perfectly the emotion of your words?
God this song basically sums up my anxiety it's almost sad
I actually still use this song I have very vivid nightmares of past experiences and I play this to relax myself so I don’t panic too much
This song about anxiety and how to cope with it is beautiful..but it also shows how each character handles negative thoughts:
.Ruby confronts ever little problem too aggressively
. sapphire let's her negativity surround and suffocate her
.connie bottles her negativity to the litteral breaking point

This song is actually teaching us about mindfulness, a meditation/relaxation technique.
The whole episode (a mindful education) centres around it.
This is one of my favorite songs to play on my ukulele when I’m stressed over something, or to record and send to my friends when they’re stressed and to just try and make them feel better
Awe and I'm sure it does make them feel better!
Lmaoooo I love how you yell out Goosebumps cause I feel you 100% I heard this song 100 times and still get goosebumps
its beautiful!
Steven Universe songs are the ones that always hit people real hard.... Their lyrics make you cry
Hearing the quiver in stevonnie's voice especially in when they say "im losing touch" almost breaks me everytime. Such an amazing song still
At 4:00 that was so nice and comforting to listen to because it was so true. In any relationship that you have with friends, family, significant other, miscommunication and things surrounding that can happen
This has become my grounding song whenever I feel an anxiety or panic attack coming along. I love Steven Universe so much and when this song happened, it brought me to tears.
This is a great video! Glad you reacted to it! Would love to see you react to "Like Morning Follows Night"!! Great RWBY song, one of my favorites
I find myself idly humming it quite often because it's so catchy too
Steven Universe music is amazing, they convey complex themes like insecurity, loneliness, and anxiety without needing to dumb it down.
I remember listening to this song a few days ago while having a breakdown and I was crying even harder but the song came to an end and suddenly everything felt okay again. I'm not completely sure why, but this song has become a comfort for me and I certainly hold it close to my heart.
The song that shook the Steven Universe fandom to its core and forever raised the bar on what a song could be is Stronger Than You
I think you’d really enjoy the creative way the artists took the idea of a song in a fight scene and made something genuinely epic.
You know a song is STRONG when it can still hit someone outside of the fandom JUST AS HARD…
Me listening: dang nice song!
David listening: definitely relatable like when your in a relationship and something is said that can’t be unsaid!
Me: 🙃Yeah I thought the same thing…
easily my favorite song from this show, it's so soothing and has a great message, its a huge stress reliever too
This song helped me a lot, it's so relaxing and Beautiful
THANK YOU FOR DOING BE THIS SONG I LISTEN TO THIS DAILY
Another cartoon with amazing music is adventure time. You should listen to “I’m just your problem” or “I remember you”. Some really good songs.
I've listened to this song so many times and even hearing it in this video makes me cry; it's so beautiful

Those butterflies remind me of the Akumas from miraculous ladybug.
Honestly I feel like Steven universe is the perfect show for me
It’s not my top favorites due to…other reasons.
But it’s a good show that helps me through depression, Anxiety, social anxiety, PTSD, racism (no I’m not black but I’ve been judged for being white and all), betrayal, mommy issues, daddy issues,
And on top of all that
Coming out as bisexual bigender.
I can't not cry when I listen to this because it really hits close. Steven Universe makes very beautiful and meaningful songs
Steven universe songs are so amazing and i have loved the show since i was really young and growing up watching a show that is so beautiful and touching is such a gift to me and i will always be thankful to the makers of Steven universe. the fact that i cried through this song because the meaning so just beautiful and calms me down to the point where i emotionally break down and cry so much because the lyrics hit home

I love the way that Steven Universe uses instrumentation to represent characters. Like Garnet gets synth and bass.
This song hits me right in the feels, whenever my anxiety hates me I just home in a corner to this and I’m happy again:)

The Steven Universe soundtrack is so emotional to me, and your judgement and enjoyment of them so far is so wholesome and endearing. Imma sub and hope you cover more! While I also browse the other songs I'm less familiar with that you've covered. Cheers my dude!
I EVER. heard that makes me emotional and ive heard ever over eteven unicerse song plus so many other songs , i just hits the feels way to hard, im go cry now
“Do it for her” is another song that hits you with raw emotion imo-
And “isn’t it love” is another favorite of mine. It flourishes with such this bright feeling of love that I just...adore it
I love this community of people and the music is touching so far so I'm gonna keep listening
This song made me cry the first time and I still have to really try to keep it together whenever I hear it.
