love seeing my favorite comfort design youtubers getting together. long live kelliot ✨
this is the most confusing start of a Podcast I've ever watched. love it
I started in design because of Kel. I would use the fonts they suggested as if it was a law now. As a baby designer, they helped me a ton! I learned how to get out of element because of Elliot and his creativity (plus his videos are just so fun). I absolutely loved this episode and am so excited for more to come.
Request- Get a graphic designer that has a different expertise (branding, for example) and just have a conversation with them about how they approach logos and branding. Why i think it would extremely interesting because you guys are also graphic designers and your questions would have more to do with the creative and technical nitty gritty rather than what most beginner videos cover ("what is branding" "how to open AI" LOL) I am now a UX designer but I still love branding and would love to hear a conversation on that.
Regardless, I am gonna eat up anything you guys serve, so keep slaying 🔥

I'm the exact example of a person who freak out kel. I was like 16 when I found their youtube and found out what graphic design is and I decided I wanted to do design because of them. I went through a freelancing phase, making posters and t-shirts just like they do (obviously on a much smaller scale) while I was in high school. I think I even sent you one of my very early awful designs when you reviewed subscribers stuff. anyway now I'm 22, in my last year of uni (although I don't study design) working as a graphic designer at a company, designing their catalogues, flyers, ads etc. completely self taught!! So yeah don't freak out for being a huge inspiration to a lot of us! We learned so much from you and are so happy to see you again :))

BACK BACK BACKITY BACK.
I find it funny how voice notes is a recent thing for everyone else, but in Brasil we've used them daily (even more than texting) for the last 10 years. I believe Mark Zuckerberg said Brasil is, by far, the place that uses it the most, but I didn't imagive how little y'all use it hahah I have an entire series of works based on them, because we have full on conversations as if we were at a bar chatting on voice notes, it's incredible how it became a third space almost.

hearing you two hating on branding and logo design is so healing, cuz as a younger designer I thought doing logos is like the golden standard, everyone who matters and made it designs logos and shit, and if I'm not doing that then I'm a FRAUD
Ong that’s true my issue with a lot of mainstream graphic designers online is that they are too shallow, most times it’s basic logos and branding we’ve seen too often why not atleast like Elliot and Kel do try and go further and make something much more interesting
