Like a lot of you I went to see Purple Rain in the Theatre after Prince died and I swear the audience sung along with every song BUT it was The Time Jungle and The Bird that had the most people singing along and dancing in the aisles

Matters not that Prince assisted( with Morris Day and Andre Cymone) in putting the group together and writing, performing, and producing ..The Time were the better live act..With Morris, Terry Lewis, Jimmy Jam, Monte, Jesse Johnson, Jellybean and Jerome...Not.,that band in the movie ..who was ok.. But, the 1999 tour belonged to The Time..

Prince will be bigger because Prince brought the time into this but his band the revolution is not better than the Time..The Time is the only band that got equal Billing on Prince's concerts in fact the Time was listed the Revolution was not...Everyone who knows about musicians knows the Time was a better Band then the Revolution..But the Revolution was not Prince..The revolution only did 2 Prince albums..then he switched Bands.and they went on to seperate solo projects none of which lasted more than 1 album..These are actual facts look it up!!

He( Price) said so himself. They were so good, that he would leave them off the tour dates in big cities. I went to the show in Detroit ( 1999 tour) and after the Time did their set, it was over. Prince came out did a few hot songs ( Let's work, 1999, little red corvette). Really? 777-9311,cool,the stick,get it off,the whole first album,gigiloes get lonley too which still get play at parties ,oak tree,Fishnet, and there were several others that were covered by groups such as TLC,,Total,Boys to men.. you obviously dont know anything about Morris and the Time..Absolutly nothing...But Its understandable..but maybe you should do a little research before you make statements like this..Oh and just so you know the Time recorded most of the songs on the Purple rain album..vanity 6..Appolonia 6.. they were the studio musicians..The revolution only played the songs live..Which is why the concerts never sounded like the album..The Time concerts however sounded excatly like the albums!! and alot of the Time songs chart in the top 20 some even in the top 10..
