Absolutely love the Adventurers theme! Just recently found several pieces from this set as well!
When I was a kid I remember the Lego magazine really pushed the entire adventure theme, and it usually was the flagship set of the Christmas catalog. Maybe that adds to the nostalgia.
Such a great theme, and having a 4 stud wide car that can sit two Minifigs side by side is amazing, even by today's standards!
This specific set really looks good, it's not one of the big one yet it offers a great scenery, a vehicle and a lot of play features. You also get the pharaoh and the infamous ruby (though is it the real one? I highly doubt such a high value item would be hidden in a "simple" tomb, especially when it could be instead hidden in a majestic temple!).
You also get a bad guy and a good guy, which makes this set really complete.
Somewhere, the Belleville sets are weeping since they aren't #1 anymore. Haha 😄 Adventurers theme is really cool! Max_Timebuster on Insta is doing a storyline right now using this theme!
I had this at my grandparents growing up ! I recently went and got it, unfortunately i'm missing many parts. I'm going to go back to their house and see if i can find any of the pieces i'm missing. I hope i can complete it, it's very nostalgic !

This set is one of the last 3 Adventurers Sets I need to complete my Adventurers collection. I finally was able to add the 5986 Amazon Ancient Ruins to my collection though and I'm so happy about that, I thought I would never be able to get that set.
Awesome video. I just completed my whole collection of all adventurers themes except for orient expedition. Best theme of all time - you just gotta love all the small traps and details they included. :)
I loved the ruby as a kid too, it felt so precious and valuable, especially when I only had like one or two.
lol how ironic, i finally got the last pieces in the mail to complete mine! adventures was part of my childhood. i have the biggest desert sub theme set of that theme
