I loved all the parts where you said 'if you're new to sublimation'! I watched a lot of videos trying to learn this process but no one really goes into details. I did not know the lint would turn blue! Great video!! I especially loved the squeal when it worked :)

What’s the butcher paper used for ??
Nice tutorial! Would you be able to reuse the print since there’s ink left? Also what type of material was the t-shirt? Would this be possible o a cotton tshirt?
That is a good paper. No you cannot reuse it. If you try to reuse it, it will be super dull. You are better off printing on a new sheet. You cannot sub on cotton. It won't fuse to cotton as well as polyester. If you sub on cotton, it will be dull and fade over time.
I have a mini device. What type of paper is used for this device? Would any thermal vinyl paper work??
Thank you. I actually looked up does an easy press mini work with sublimation? I have the bottom part of a mug that won't work with the mug press because it's a different shape from the top part that will fit in the mug press. I was wondering if I could press the name on the bottom with the mini.
I’ve never tried it. It could possibly work for that small part. Let me know if you try it. I’m not sure if when they cost mugs for sublimation, if they actually coat that bottom part.

Yes, you can. You will just have to do more presses, so it will just take longer to press than if you used a heatpress.

Are you asking if you can use regular printer paper for sublimation? Lots of people swear by the hammerhill brand of copy paper. It seems to work fine for them.

From what I heard, it has to be fabric that had 60% polyester or more
You can technically sublimate on silk, but it will be more of a faded look. It should be polyester. Polyester will give you a more vibrant look.
Can you do phone cases with the mini press ?
I will have to try it. I keep getting asked the same thing. I will make a video on it.
What if you use an Iron instead? Would you get the same results?
I don’t think so. An iron doesn’t get as hot and it doesn’t give even heat. You can definitely try it and see if it works though.
Hello would you be able to use the cricut that you shown on your video for phone cases?
I still need to try it but I don’t see why not. You will just have to do multiple presses since it is smaller than a phone case.

such a nice video. Just one innocent question. I am starting my small online gym wear set up. I have my logo ready. Question is that is this small machine enough and ok to print my small minimalist logo on my tshirts and sell them ?? waiting for your kind reply and another step to my success.
It depends how big your logo is. I honestly would say to invest in a heat press or easy press at least.
How did u print the design and what paper did u use??
Did u print from a printer ??? Using a computer or laptop?
I printed from my laptop to my sublimation printer using sublimation paper and ink.
Can you do that with heat transfers done with a ink jet printer 🖨 🤔
I am pretty sure you should be able to.
You need sublimation printer or converted printer with sublimation ink.
So mines work on a hard surface but not on the shirt Mayb because it was cotton
Yeah. Sublimation doesn’t really work on cotton well. It needs to be polyester.

I will be trying this out soon. I will update you. I am pretty sure you can. You will just have to press it in sections

Yes. You would just have to do a bunch of presses. It would take you longer than just using a heat press.
Is it effective for plastic fiber Keychains?
I haven't tried it, so I can't really say
What can I use instead of butcher paper ?
You can use parchment paper from what I’ve heard. Kraft paper also works well
Can it sublimate on metal?
Yes, it should be able to.
I really want to do this with phone cases! Im looking for budget-friendly heat presses and this one is only $50! Would it work😭
I’ve been asked this a lot. I honestly don’t know. I think it would but you would have to do maybe two or three presses because of the size of the phone case.
There’s an affordable heat press linked in my descriptions. It’s only $200 which is nice and lots of people love it.
I used mines to press a phone grip. And it turned out good. I guess for phone case you would have to do each section for even amount of time. I’m actually planning on using mines for phone cases to make cases on the go
