In an emergency, is it capable of carrying a 90 pound lab? We just got our lab back from the pro trainer after 4 months of training. Now we have a lot invested, and the thought of an injured dog that cant walk is a valid concern. We have rattlers here too, and although we got our dog the snake shot, if it happens a few miles into a hunt and he shuts down for some reason....im curious to know if that vest would hold up. These are not cheap vests by any means, BUT with that said...i think of them as investments in quality gear.
Congrats on your dog and you're absolutely right, they're a huge investment and honestly the only reason we love upland hunting as much as we do. The vest will be able to carry a 90lb dog without issue. Much easier than trying to get them up on your shoulders or carrying them in your arms. I've carried 40# dogs in my arms for a mile or two (many years ago) and that was a workout on it's own. Leveraging the pack design of our gear just made sense to build that feature in and make things easier.
Just got mine! Thanks Matt had it out dog training today! All the best from Alberta Canada!
Awesome to hear! Really appreciate your support!
