Ciao Dave, great review, looks really functional!, It's very modern compared to the European style which is still related to more classic vest designs, but I really like it! The magnets for closure are an excellent solution, they are solid, do not make noise and do not collect dirt like Velcro. You can simply secure the two flaps of the belt with an elastic band. I agree with the choice of thin and flat shoulder straps, the thick padded ones get caught in the butt of the rifle. Great product! 👍

Thanks again Stefano, it's great to compare the European and American vest styles. Different solutions to solve the same problems. I like it and looking forward to getting many years out of it.

I wear a 36" and went with the 36-43" size, fits great even at the low end of the limit. Thanks for watching!

Reminds me a lot of my WingWorks but the game bag looks easier to put the birds in.
I agree on the water bottles too absolutely love having them.
Looks like it’s built to last too.

I think there are a lot of similarities, with some clever details that make it unique. The game bag is very accessible and I like how you can get the bag to ride higher and not have that droopy butt feel. It's built well, we'll put her to the test this upcoming season! Thanks for watching.

I have been looking for a new vest for peasant hunting. I say pheasant cuz i really don't see myself grouse or woodcock hunting with my dog. I have been looking at vests for almost 3 months but with season being 4 months away I'm not in a huge rush and i am super picky on what i spend my money on. I really like the mollie webbing. I carry a 6"x10"x4" first aid pack that is mollie compatible. That is something i wont walk away from the truck without. Plus i want to make the right choice especially spending north of $300 of my hard earned money. Great review this vest made my short list!

Thanks I'm the same way with reviewing vests and had been looking for several years. I don't have a hunt in it yet but have had it a couple months now and really like the light weight and durability. Super comfortable waste band, that is the best feature to me. It's a little spendy though so take your time. Keep in mind it can take a few weeks to get one delivered depending on their volume.

Ive been looking long and hard at this summit or XT version. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but looking to get your opinion now that you probably putting it to use during hunting season. what breed of dog is that? Looks a lot like our lab in the face, but assuming its a GSP? I agree with you about the orange too. My thought is the orange will fade out over time quicker than the other colors.

I've put in a full season now with the Summit XT. From Montana to the northern Wisconsin grouse woods and pheasant cover. It's worked very well for me. The best part is the waste band. While I wasn't crazy at first with the dangling straps they work great to pull forward and sinch tight. I love the thin shoulder straps as well. There's plenty of room in the standard config and the front pockets are able to hold my full size camera and all the shells I need. The rear cross elastic straps are nice for gathering sheds or something but do occasionally get caught on branches in the deep woods. For grouse hunting it's a bit more obstructive in the thick woods but it's minor. The front magnetic pockets don't really work, but it doesn't affect it in my opinion. I can honestly say I can hunt longer with this vest.
He is a GSP, 4 years old. Does have a blocky head. Great dog, my main man.
