My kitchen was smelling bad, and the cause was my extremely gross sink - blech! I heard your voice in my head "this is funky-dunky" and all my shame dropped away. I just cleaned it up and moved on. You are a blessing in my life
Thank you so so much 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻 I really hope it helps your daughter!! I think I say, “Don’t put it down, put it away” 30 times a day!! Lol But it’s working!!
A quick suggestion. I have a few decorative shallow bowls around the house placed in rooms where I know I consistently take my jewelry off. That way I can gather it up all together once it starts accumulating in the bowls. I know at the end of the day I’m not going to want to make a special trip to the bedroom to put my jewelry away so this works out well for me. Plus a pretty bowl with the sparkly jewelry in it doesn’t look bad or cluttery to me.
Oh wow, I remember so well when you did this for the first time! Hiding behind sunglasses, totally overwhelmed and not able to part with anything.. you are doing incredibly amazing! 💜🥰
Great job!!! After scrubbing all the rust off the soap dispenser try coating the metal bottom with clear polish and let it totally dry before setting it back by the sink. Might protect it from rusting.
Please, please, please! Write a book about your experience recovering from this disorder. I have been watching since the beginning. Your compassion for yourself and others as well as the insights you’ve gained on this journey are truly life changing.
Thank you for sharing your story and your decluttering! I suffer from severe anxiety and some OCD tendencies. As a result I constantly declutter my possessions to the point it's a problem. Being able to watch other people declutter soothes that urge within me that says I have to get rid of all my things. You are helping people in so many different ways. ❤️🦄🌈
I find myself watching videos of decluttering when i have nothing in my house to declutter too! I get almost that same feeling of calm from watching someone els declutter as when i declutter something myself.
Absolutely brilliant Miss Heart ❤️ You are changing the world too by helping me and so many others, thank you very much. Stay safe and healthy. Mary, Joes wife 👏👍💪🤞🙏❤️💐🦄
RE keeping old products as a reminder to restock it: you could allocate a basket/container to put the empties. When it is time to shop, take the basket/container along with you, and discard as you replace (could ask the store you purchase from if they can throw it away for you). Then you arrive home with the basket of new products you can take it straight to the bathroom and place them directly into their “homes” and have the basket empty again.
I sing a "don't put it down - put it away" song to myself as I tidy and it helps a lot!! :) I love these videos and I'm so beyond proud of how far you've come on your journey!
Bar Keeper's Friend will remove that rust stain. Also, if you paint the bottom of the soap dispenser with clear nail polish, it will help stop the rust from staining the counter. 😁👍🏼
You can write a list in your phone of the things you run out of. I title each note with the store name. So when I go to that store I already have a list of everything I need from that store
What an amazing transformation. I have Avery tiny bathroom and what has helped me put things away is two carousels on the counter top. One for makeup brushes, eyeliner and mascara I put beads in the bottom to help them stand nicely. The other is for hair care. The second magical thing I got was the Elfa over door organizer. These two in conjunction have been game changing.
Put the soap dish on a little piece of plastic you would normally throw away. There was a clear half of a box that would have worked great, but I'm sure you've tossed it by now. I'm sure part of a clamshell container from a grocery trip would work just fine. Anything that can get wrecked, but will keep the counter nice. :) In terms of saving the dispenser, I would wipe it off well, rub some aluminum foil on it to see whether some rust will transfer (works on steel), or get a rust remover, and then I would use a silver nail Polish if you have some on hand. Or another colour, really. I used that on my cheap jewellery when I used to wear more. 👍
I found your channel after an interview you did with The Minimal Mom. I like your “don’t put it down, put it away”. I’ve been telling myself what the minimal mom says when I put something down and think I’ll put it away later but I make myself stop and I think “it has to be just as easy to put away as it is to leave out”. That’s what minimal mom Dawn says but I like yours; it’s shorter lol
I have watched your journey from the beginning.... It's amazing. You are really a hero! I too live in south jersey... I too am a swim mom... I too have an identical BLUE sink. You are an inspiration. ❤
It's so interesting how our brains work. I'm the exact opposite - I hate clutter and am constantly throwing stuff away and clearing surfaces everyday to make sure nothing is out of place. I can't sleep until it's tidy otherwise it causes me anxiety
I have a really cute dry erase/corkboard on the wall near my vanity where I can quickly keep a shopping list and make up notes at hand. I used to have a notebook but my adhd ended up with multiple, barely used, notebooks taking up valuable real-estate in my drawers. With your craft talent and supplies I'm 100% certain you can make a spectacular one to match your bathroom decor and amazing vibe.
YAY!!!! I feel like I manifested this video! I have been rewatching your old videos and actually told my husband I wish you make a new video with this bathroom!!!! And LOOK!! 2days later and BOOM here it is!!!
This is incredible. The videos where you cleaned out this bathroom were the first of yours that I watched. It's amazing to watch you clear out the same space so quickly, so efficiently, and put things in their place! Like the progress is obvious. You are an inspiration Mrs. Heart!!
Thank you for this video. So many excellent tips. I have started removing items from their boxes as soon as I bring them home (eg. Lipgloss, liquid makeup etc) and making a conscious effort to recycle the packaging right away. This seems to help me see my stuff more clearly.
What a great job! What would help you get to the next step of putting the trash directly into the bin? You have come so far! Or maybe doing a night trash toss when you take off your makeup, do you a little tidy for on your counter.
Combining one new habit with an already established one might work best for her. It's a tip Cas from Clutterbug just posted in her most recent video I think. ☺
I found that a mini trash can on the countertop helps with all the little bits and bobs that would otherwise just get put down. It can even just be a pretty container or bag
I use the note feature on my phone a lot for lists. You might want to take a sharpie and write mo/yr on the beauty products. To let you know when you started using it, and later whether to toss the item because of age or possible contamination.
New subscriber! I love your growth mindset and how you give yourself so much compassion and grace as you heal. Your message is great and I'm so excited to see more of your journey!
The more I watch your videos, the more I think I have ADHD. Everything you say about yours is spot on with me and I also have to repeat “don’t put it down, put it away” out loud over and over otherwise it doesn’t get done!
Amazing result! You’ve come so far. Even in the way you discuss your ability to let things go, I hear a change… your bubbling with so much strength and confidence.
I'm watching this video from my bed and I can literally see my old bottle of foundation sitting out on the dressing table to remind me to buy a new one 😂
I also was to use nail polish on soap pump. Maybe a note on the kitchen table, "don't put it down put it away" may hepls you. Great job in the bathroom.!
Great job! I’m constantly redoing an area. As far as the rusty BBW bottle, for me personally, it would be a tossy tossy, but if I had to keep it for now, I’d clean up the bottom with the Brillo and then try clear polish on the bottom? Not sure if that’ll work but worth a try. Good luck!
I finally let go of a lipstick tube that I saved that belong to my deceased mom. I saved it over 19 years ago. I think I meant to buy the same color. I found it in a bin when I was looking for something else. No issue with throwing out now. 😊 You just have to let go when your ready. Try some clear nail Polish or clear spray sealer on the bottle with the rust.
I take a picture of the product I don't want to forget the specifics and keep them in an album in my phone... Great job as always by the way! Keep going!
Empty bottle reminders. Me, too. I follow the sales cycle. I try to start looking for replacements when products are 2/3 to 3/4 empty. That way I can save without a lot of inventory. Except for toilet paper; I usually buy at least an equivalent of 2 small packages when I am using the next to the last package on hand. Only me so only about once every 3-4 weeks.
Tonight I had another bash at the dishes while listening to you clear your bathroom. First I put away the clean dishes on the countertop that had been waiting there for several days. (Why did that seem to be such a big job?) Then I had a go at the dirty dishes piling up in & next to the sink. I didn’t get them all done - there are a few pots & pans yet to do. Some are soaking. That is a good job for now. 💞
That looks so much better! I've used SOS pads in the bathroom in the past, but didn't like them, so switched to a scraper (not sure I'd use it on the counter, though). You could probably use baking soda or dish soap on the counter to get the stains, too.
Ugh! I bought the SAME soap holder from Bath & Body Works and it got all rusty on me, too! Luckily it only got rusty on the inside, but I threw it away. I don’t think I’m going to buy one of those again ~ the bottle designs are pretty already! 🤗 Your bathroom & all those clean brushes look sooooooooooooo good!! 💕
Great video. maybe after finishing the garage you can make a decorating video in this room. I have watched that you have two shelves for decoration, yet there are still things in the floor. Have you tried to decorate with the things you use? I like to do that because I don't like the idea of decorations but I like my spaces to look pretty. Putting all your nail polish with the arranged colors as it is done in the beauty salons is an example.
Hugs to you, habits is always a work in progress. I don’t have adhd but I too tend to drop things for ”later” and forget about it until it’s a big pile. Working on it though. Like giving my self extra time before I need to get to Work so stress won’t be a factor.
You popped up in my recommended, and I'm a beauty channel so I wondered why. However I'm very much a organized hoarder. I get fomo for getting rid of things. I look forward to watching more of your content.
Great Job, it looks great!🎉😃❤️ A couple of tips: A small trash can near by might help put the empty boxes or empty products. It would make it easy. Instead of saying DONT put it down and put it away, it would be more positive if you would say “I can put it away instead of putting it down”.
I stopped buying mascara after I got an eyelid infection from old mascara it was a terrible experience. The only regular make up I use anymore is nailpolish, lipbalm and if I am feeling extra fancy maybe eyeshadow although that happens maybe 1 x per year so my makeup collection is minimal. I used to hoard it when I was a teenager but thankfully not anymore.
I'm so so so proud of you! I watch your videos from day one and remember how hard your first decluttering time in this bathroom was. It's amazing to see what you are able to handle now! Yes girl, you got it!
Go to Lowes or Home Depot and but a tumbled tile. Just the small one big enough for your soap pump. They are less than a dollar. Will keep your pump from rusting so bad as the tile will soak up water splashes etc.
if your space gets easily cluttered again maybe your way of storing isn't working, play around with it until it does work.. that's what I do but I mean, it's been almost 2y so well done friend 🎉❤
Oh how are you my friend?!!! I have missed you!! You’re definitely right, we are still adjusting to the best way of storing things! I do have a little trash can in there…crazy right 😅 That’s why I gotta say, “don’t put it done, put it away.”
I have a bath and body works soap container that did the same thing. Therefore I told myself just not to buy them, it was worth it. In fact, I told myself I’m not allowed to go into there until I use the items I already have. Cause I have a lot from the buy 3 get 2 free deals they promote.
In the bathrooms you may want to use a product like Clorox clean up with bleach and a sponge or reusable cloth. This will clean and sanitize your surfaces and does a great job on rust and sinks! Be sure to wear gloves and open a window and rinse well. Great work letting stuff go.
Something that helps us is a wooden shelf that is five shelves tall. We put towels on it, tp, and baskets with shampoos, basket for dental, etc. Saves all the clutter on the countertop. Now we don't put things on the countertop so it can be cleaned easily.
Have you ever done a capsule collection for makeup and skin care? I decided to about a year ago and it is helping my decision fatigue and to curate which products I love!!!
You did such a good Job! Maybe you can use the shelfs on the wall as open storage and Display your Favorit makeup and produkts. When it comes to my "Adhd brain" open storage and easy and quick acces is key to Keep my space clean and organised
You have a lot of shelf storage, I wonder if maybe displaying the perfumes and nail polish would be a better solution along with your existing decor I also had that issue with the bath and body works hand soap with it rusting at bottom because of the metal and water contact
Rather than putting a list in the drawer, you could also get a dry-erase marker and make your list on the mirror. That way you see the list every time you use the bathroom.
The Pink Stuff and Scrub Daddy Power Paste do as well and are non-toxic. Auri Kateriina on here shows it in action in her hoarder/squalling (food) cleaning videos 🙂⭐
I don't use makeup at all anymore. I used to have some for special occasions. I found out about it expires and I was so sad about the waste. I also use bath and body works body spray!💞I try to keep the inventory low and only buy another of what I truly liked. The sale is so tempting I purposely avoid the store unless I am out of or extremely low on a specific item. Then I get just that item. So hard to do. I keep a turntable type lazy susan in the corner of the vanity/counter top for teeth/hair care and place a dollar tree cotton, swab container for the cotton balls, flossers and q tips. Everything is accessible.
It's terrible isn't it? They never make small eyeshadown/lipstick pans anymore where one could really use it up in 6 months. Nowadays the eyeshadow pans and facepowders are massive I could never use any of that up in a million years.
@@user-sm6od4tx2p mary kay used to make a beautiful eye shadow pallet with 2 sides it was the size of the end of a thumb. I definitely couldn't even use that amount up in 6 months. 😂
you are doing really, relly god 🥰 I know how you are struggling and still does it 😍 you are a champion 😊 I have one tip for you. I understand that you like to have stuff on your counter (on every surfaces) like decoration and things you like. but if you sometimes in the future are getting to the point were you can have minimal or nothing on the counter. you will learn that you will start to like it because it is so much easier to clean and keep empty. In fact you are tricking your brain to want it empty. the reason you should try it is because when you want to have your counter empty you will recognise clutter earlier and it won't get out of control.... the downside is that you are going from horder to control freak 😂😂😂 Ps I'm talking from experience. I was forced out of my hording by downsizing but I still have problems with not buying stuff I don't need and getting rid off stuff..... please excuse my bad English and grammar.
Hey lovely! I have a random (possibly ridiculous) request. Would you find one or two organizing groups on facebook to advertise your channel? I saw a post saying a professional organizer was trying to work with someone living with a hoarder disorder and describing frustrations with that. I figured your story would help them and anyone else trying to work together like that! I usually catch those posts in time and refer them here, but I think it will have a greater impact if you share a short introduction of your own story and the name of your channel. You are amazing, and I admire you greatly! May you and your family be blessed with daily happy moments!
My kitchen was smelling bad, and the cause was my extremely gross sink - blech! I heard your voice in my head "this is funky-dunky" and all my shame dropped away. I just cleaned it up and moved on. You are a blessing in my life
"Don't put it down, put it away." Thanks for sharing that because it gives me a ton of insight into my daughter's brain. Such a good job!!!!
Thank you so so much 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻 I really hope it helps your daughter!! I think I say, “Don’t put it down, put it away” 30 times a day!! Lol But it’s working!!

:) The sunglasses intro bathroom! Look How far we have came!!!
Oh wow, I remember so well when you did this for the first time!
Hiding behind sunglasses, totally overwhelmed and not able to part with anything.. you are doing incredibly amazing! 💜🥰
So awesome! And don’t forget that everyone has to re-declutter their spaces, hoarders, minimalists, and everyone in between. You’re doing great! 🥰
My daughter has ADHD. You help me understand her better. Thanks, Tina, Al's wife
Great job!!! After scrubbing all the rust off the soap dispenser try coating the metal bottom with clear polish and let it totally dry before setting it back by the sink. Might protect it from rusting.

Oh you just made my day!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!! It does help doesn’t it 🦄💜🌟🙏🏻🦄💜🌟🙏🏻
You did a great job cleaning and decluttering your countertop. Bravo!!
That sounds like a great craft project, make a pretty sign that says don’t put it down put it away 😀
Great idea! Even a daily alarm on the phone could help 😀
Bar Keeper's Friend will remove that rust stain.
Also, if you paint the bottom of the soap dispenser with clear nail polish, it will help stop the rust from staining the counter. 😁👍🏼
Love your advice!! I will definitely use it in the future 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻
I have the same Soap dispenser. It has rusted all the way down. I’m going to try to paint the entire inside with clear polish.
Barkeepers Friend is my best friend. Would take spots off a cheetah, would recommend 👍 and you go girl, wicked inspiring
You can write a list in your phone of the things you run out of. I title each note with the store name. So when I go to that store I already have a list of everything I need from that store
That’s a wonderful idea!!! Thank you so much for sharing that with us 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻
Thank you! So simple but I didnt think of it. Just made my Target list🎯
I have a clean brush container and a dirty brush container.
In terms of saving the dispenser, I would wipe it off well, rub some aluminum foil on it to see whether some rust will transfer (works on steel), or get a rust remover, and then I would use a silver nail Polish if you have some on hand. Or another colour, really. I used that on my cheap jewellery when I used to wear more. 👍
I;m so glad to see you get rid of all the old perfumes, it's much easier to clean when you own less things.
I found your channel after an interview you did with The Minimal Mom. I like your “don’t put it down, put it away”. Clear nail polish on the bottom of any metal object in a bathroom will stop any rust from happening been doing it for years works a treat :)
Thank you for this video. I’m starting to clean my bathroom. Should be done by the end of the day
I found that a mini trash can on the countertop helps with all the little bits and bobs that would otherwise just get put down. It can even just be a pretty container or bag

Try some clear nail Polish or clear spray sealer on the bottle with the rust.
Looks awesome! You’ve been making leaps and bounds with decluttering and makeup/perfume is a HUGE hurtle! ❤️

IT IS SAFE TO LET GO. EXCELLENT
Great work! Maybe you can set that rusty soap bottle on a little plate if you’re not ready to let it go, so it doesn’t discolor your countertop. 💕
Thank you for doing the bathroom. I need to get busy cleaning mine. See the counter after it is cleaned, feels so good.
Brilliant job 💪
I would paint the bottom with clear nail varnish to help stop the rust 😁
You're doing great!
I've been watching you for years and now I'm being diagnosed with ADHD myself.
I started using the felt feet from the Dollar Tree on things that rest to keep it elevated out of the water
Looks great! Keep up the good work. 👍
That looks so much better! I've used SOS pads in the bathroom in the past, but didn't like them, so switched to a scraper (not sure I'd use it on the counter, though). You could probably use baking soda or dish soap on the counter to get the stains, too.
Re-dos are fine bc it keeps your content fresh. 👏👍
It looks so much better. Very satisfying to watch. Great job 👍
Take a picture of your empties with your phone - the photo will be a reminder to make the purchases
Im trying to teach my husband dont put it down put it away. Tossing the pretty perfume bottles was a huge step. Great job 👏
Thank you so so much ❤️🙏🏻❤️ Yes, I definitely say it at least 20 times as day 😅❤️😂
It did help!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
good job, it is clean again. i now how the adhd brain works. if you now yourself then you can help yourself too. big hug Ellen

What a difference! Great job!
Cream of Tartar works on rust!
Wow what a great job !! Looks so pretty and very sparkly ✨️
Great Job, it looks great!🎉😃❤️
A couple of tips:
A small trash can near by might help put the empty boxes or empty products. It would make it easy.
Instead of saying DONT put it down and put it away, it would be more positive if you would say “I can put it away instead of putting it down”.
Thanks for the ADHD and the hoarding connection. It was like a light bulb just went on in my head.
🦄❤🎉 Yay! Looking forward to part two!
Thank you so so much 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻
Great job! Just tuck a saucer under that soap bottle. You could try using clear nail polish to coat the bottom or treat yourself to a new one!
I love that idea!! Thank you so so much for sharing that with us 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻

and I thought that the end result is your Minimalism!!! great work❤
Oh how are you my friend?!!! I have missed you!! You’re definitely right, we are still adjusting to the best way of storing things! I do have a little trash can in there…crazy right 😅 That’s why I gotta say, “don’t put it done, put it away.”
I like your makeup in this video. Great job! 💖
minimalism is being mindful. you are very mindful. keep up the good work.
Love Love Love This Idea!!! Thank you for sharing with me ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Have you ever done a capsule collection for makeup and skin care? I decided to about a year ago and it is helping my decision fatigue and to curate which products I love!!!
You did such a good Job! Maybe you can use the shelfs on the wall as open storage and Display your Favorit makeup and produkts. When it comes to my "Adhd brain" open storage and easy and quick acces is key to Keep my space clean and organised
Try some Bar Keeper’s Friend on that rust. It should gently clean it all up.
You could try coating your soap holder with some clear nail polish to prevent the rusty mess.
Good job getting rid of the perfume even though they were beautiful.
Are you going to do a part 2 with the doors?
I was going to ask the same thing. I would like a part 2
Yes!! Part 2 will be under the sink and all the drawers 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻
You have a lot of shelf storage, I wonder if maybe displaying the perfumes and nail polish would be a better solution along with your existing decor
I also had that issue with the bath and body works hand soap with it rusting at bottom because of the metal and water contact
Rather than putting a list in the drawer, you could also get a dry-erase marker and make your list on the mirror. That way you see the list every time you use the bathroom.
Thank you. I am going to clean my makeup brushes now. Thanks for the motivation.
For the rust- you could put a coat of clear nail polish- it shoud help for a while :)
Excellent! I’ve just discovered Mr. Clean Clean Freak spray. That will get any stains off your counter easily!
The Pink Stuff and Scrub Daddy Power Paste do as well and are non-toxic. Auri Kateriina on here shows it in action in her hoarder/squalling (food) cleaning videos 🙂⭐
We have a blue sink, too! I LOVE it! I use an old toothbrush to clean around those tight edges.
You can post a reminder sign SLOW DOWN. PUT THINGS AWAY.
Sometimes we need an external cue to stop and clean/tidy up.
Absolutely! Thank you so much 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻
I had a bottle that would leave rust marks like that. I covered it with clear hot glue. Let it dry and worked great.
felicitation vous faite un superbe travail je vis avec la meme chose est tous les jours c'est une bataille merci
fantastic job 💜 congratulations 🎊💜🦄
I absolutely love all of your suggestions and advice, especially the lazy Susan!! Thank you so much for sharing with us 🦄🌟💜🙏🏻
you are doing really, relly god 🥰 I know how you are struggling and still does it 😍 you are a champion 😊
I have one tip for you.
I vividly remember your first videos with sunglasses and mask. It's so nice to see your face nowadays!
