I was screaming Flash V2 😂
Same
So glad Cedar Fair took over Kings Island. Im old enough to remember the 90's, when EVERY new ride was an overhyped disappointment. Adventure Express, Top Gun (Bat now), Days of Thunder, Tomb Raider etc. Went back this year for the first time in a decade and had a blast.
Top Gun was good it was just marketed the wrong way. Paramount really couldnt find a direction at the park. Couldnt agree more that Cedar Fair has done fantastic in turning the park around.
I pretty much boycotted Kings Dominion (my home park) from 2000 to 2006. With Busch Gardens close by, I was perplexed as to why KD couldn't get a steel coaster that broke 3,000 feet in length. Volcano was fun but over so quick (I later grew to appreciate it more). The Hypersonic announcement was the final straw. A short prototype coaster I had just seen on one of those Discovery/Travel Channel thrill ride specials? Ricochet and Italian Job didn't help. Hurler was running like garbage within 5-6 years.
There was a rumor circa 2000 that KD would be getting the longest wooden coaster in the world. But I bet even that would have been awful as they probably would have gotten RCCA to do it.
Like I needed another reason to delay working on my homework
When he runs out of quizzes to do, he’s just going to start asking random people on the street to name every roller coaster from 2001 with one or more inversions or something like that.
Also Pteranodon is pronounced ter-RAN-uh-don if that helps you remember it! I had a big dinosaur obsession when I was younger lol
Great video! You did very well! Those old dinosaur names always get me too. I didnt realize Kings Island has had so many coasters like this!
AE-dub!
@@shorebreakcards Yep!!!
Always surprised nobody in AZ has tried building a large park. I know its hot, but the population has blown up so much I figure someone would have tried.
I think Las Vegas would make more sense if someone wanted to build a desert theme park. They've had a huge population growth as well and the city draws millions of visitors every year.
@@indianapatsfanYeah. Plus, the only competition is the AdventureDome (which only has 2 rollercoasters), and a really expensive Togo.
There's supposed to be the Mattel adventure park opening soon...ish
Arizona believe it or not, is a landlocked state, so there’s not much real estate in terms of land that they can use for something like a major park.
@@indianapatsfan Haven't most attempts at amusement parks and roller coasters in the Las Vegas area either failed or petered out? Remember MGM Grand Adventures?
Real estate in prime Las Vegas is probably way too expensive and I doubt any company or corporation wants to risk building something in the surrounding desert.
I just don't think a large amusement/theme park would do well as that is just not what the GP wants to do when they go to Vegas.
Kings Island representing with 4 inverts, plus 2 defunct.
Thank you for putting videos of the coasters as you name them. THANK YOU.
All those dangling coasters
I was shouting vertical velocity even though my score would have been no where's near as high as yours
For some reason when I was thinking impulse, I was drawing a blank for which ones were out there
@@AirtimeThrills that happens lmao
Got 63/71, or 89%. Might be the best I’ve done on one of these!
They left off Bisby's Spiral Airship (1902 ~ 1915) in Long Beach, Ca.
Scooby’s Ghoster Coaster 😢
I always found both my home parks lineups good but not very diverse. Kings island’s only coasters with inversions are two inverts and one indoor launch coaster. And also two other inverts, 4-5 wooden coasters and two hyper/gigas. And my old home park SFDK every single major coaster has inversions
A couple other coasters that were missing from this list are Deja Vu at Over Georgia and Magic Mountain (the Great America one is Aftershock now).
Great video! You should totally do this video as a by the numbers video. Those are some of my favorite videos that you make.
I've seen you do these quizzes before and this the first time I've noticed the Eagles helmet.
Impressive, as usual, Chris.
I'm embarrassed to have only gotten 56/71 and most of the ones I've missed are ones I've ridden. Damn you Invertigo, Kong, BANSHEE AND RAPTOR!?
I got 62 or an 87%, so pretty good compared to what I normally get lol
Ended up getting all but 2, only didn’t get Pterradon Flyers and Swamp Thing which, I’m fine with not getting lol
99%, forgot pteranodon at IOA. Always forget that exists - and I rode it - haha
I got 52/71, my biggest ones i missed were Alpie, the Vekoma Flying Dutchmans (which i didn't even think about), and XLR8 since I knew Astroworld had one but couldn't remember the name of it. Other than that, a lot of them I never would have thought of..
I'm not sure the Fyling Dutchman coasters should count. The station, the lift and brake sections are above the track as well as part of the rest of the ride, you are above the track.
Love this idea, maybe do one on all of the coasters that ride to the side of the track? (All wing coasters, free spins, 4D coasters, etc..)
Although I do feel like it would have to be a worldwide thing given the amount of these models
Out of all of these, I've only ridden 3.
Video idea: Best magnetic launches in North America
Next video: Every coaster in America that rides above, below, on the side, off, and near the track
Yeah the roller soakers were missed as was Two Face at Six Flags America. I kept saying to myself where's Phoenix and Stinger but Chris brought that up
Also Hydra Fighter II at Wet n' Wild Emerald Pointe a Capiro single rail water coaster was missed.
Was two-face: the flip side on the list from Six Flags America?
Also missed Deja Vu at SFoG.
Going into it I figured you may get everything besides buffalo hunt and ski lift shootout coaster but they were not on the list. They are weigand inverted coasters. Ski lift was made in 2019 so it could have been on there.
Opryland had a SLC named Hangman
I was Yelling Goliath at the screen for like 5 minutes after you already named it!
it happens
The list is missing the short lived Caripro Batflyers (Scooby's Ghoster Coaster at KI and Spellbreaker at CA Legoland).
There is a 3rd coaster the creator forgot, Hydra Fighter II from 2001-2003 a Caprio Water roller coaster at Wet n' Wild Emerald Pointe.
yeah the Setpoint/Caprio coasters were left off. I had no idea this one existed
Super hard test
So Pteranadon Flyers counts as under the track but Roller Soaker doesn't? Yes I have the Roller Soaker credit.
I think he just forgot those Setpoint coasters
62/71. I have a brain full of useless knowledge apparently.
Could you do a video on parks that have the most land to build on? Kind of a weird request but I saw a video the other day on parks most likely to build a Giga soon and they talked about parks with space. There seems to be almost no videos on this so…
Do you think we will see a 200ft inverted coaster? I like to think Canada's Wonderland will do it to replace Flight Deck & Time Warp, with the name "Warthog" (after the jet plane, not the animal)
I am surprised that SFMM doesn't already have an inverted hypercoaster. 🤷🏾♀️
Alpengeist almost did it so yeah I can see it
thats very specific lol
One on every launch coaster would be cool, cannot find any list on that or videos
That's a quiz I did a while back if you wanna look thru my quiz playlist
Two that are missing off of this quiz -- Roller Soaker and Flying Super Saturator.
Also, Stinger, Two-Face, and Deja Vu.
And the old KI kiddie coaster
I was literally screaming impulse coasters at the screen because you were forgetting them
I know i totally blanked on impulses even after i remembered the model
@@AirtimeThrills it’s so hard when doing these quizzes
I knew about the two Volares in New York but couldn't remember the names. Eagle something... Kept trying Stinger and Phoenix but neither were on there lol. Didn't get Duelling Dragons or Pteranodon Flyers. Also for some reason I thought Swamp Thing was the boomerang! Come to check rcdb and the boomerang is called Boomerang and Swamp Thing is the hang and bang...
I totally thought there was at least 1 wooden coaster on this list
85% correct.
Pretty tough quiz. I thought I would do a little better on this one
When u didn't say stealth or nighthawk I was worried that you forgot the Vekoma flyers...
I absolutely did. Luckily once you remember one you remember them all
HOW DID HE FORGET DUELING DRAGONS
Now do this for the eu
I don't blame you for forgetting about Iron Dragon lol. It was a pretty forgettable ride, in my opinion.
What about the Vekoma Invertigos?
invertigo was on there but stinger wasn't
Wouldn't Two Face: Flip side fall under that category?
EDNOR
Serial thriller at sfaw
That's now Ednor, which is on here
Just review Raptor and end the video. No comparison. Just went on it last night for the 2000th time. I can’t believe how it holds up after all these years. 🔥
2,000 times, THAT'S A LOT! Congrats on riding Raptor 2,000 times!
My bad... 2001 @@ThoosiesCorner
@@senseijimmy oh, that's even more!!!!!
79% 😭😭
Forgot to turn off caps lock. Ehh whatever
In the word “Pteranodon”, you don’t pronounce the “P”. P is silent.
test
What about Deja Vu at Six Flags Over Georgia?
