I´m new to the hobby. I just built my second keyboard, so I still have a ton of doubts. What is the point of a half plate? Is it to change the sound profile of the alpha keys?
Appreciate that! Honestly just got kind’ve burnt out from keyboard videos, started to feel very repetitive for me. And also was getting expensive having to continue to buy new keyboards or try to source more builds from people. I had a lot of fun doing it for awhile though so maybe I’ll be back someday!
@@looksrarekeyboards2994 Hey man, completely understand the burn out thing, have experienced it multiple times before and it is very real. Yer I understand it can be difficult to source new and interesting keyboards and the cost associated which is totally fair. Perhaps you can start a new channel, about another one of your interests. I'd 100% follow you along whatever path you take man! you got my support!
I have a custom e6.5 I found a Sat75 I'm about to pull the trigger on, I think. Fingers crossed I get it. Super clean build. Very nice video going into detail. Your videos are super high quality. Subd!
So I have a Sat75 my build is: Brass plate + carbon fibre plate + PE foam Switches: oil kings hand lubed with krytox 204g0 & 105 Keycaps: GMK yuru I’d recommend trying this out cause it sounds wayyyy nicer
I like the board like every1 else, I could pick one for a little over msrp, do you think its still worth? I feel I can get something like a Bubble75/Hope75 for half the price while sounding way better
I haven’t tried the Bubble or Hope so can’t really weigh in. IMO unless you REALLY love the looks of the Sat75 and just want the board for that reason.. there are probably better options out there for less money.
Really wished they made a version that was hot-swappable to keep up with the times...the build is so beautiful and the OLED screen is a unique feature, but the sound and typing experience, yeesh lol
I actually didn’t hate the sound but it wasn’t anything special IMO. And ya, the half plate here made it super bouncy. I would’ve been curious to try this out with a full plate though, I think it would’ve improved it. Unfortunately, a lot of boards, especially older and more “exclusive” ones only come with solder PCBs but I think we’re seeing that change now.
@@looksrarekeyboards2994 Yea I hope so, because the thought of soldering makes me shudder. I've personally never soldered anything and I hope to not have to learn to do so any time soon.
I honestly hope that they don't release a hotswap version, (though there are places you can get a 3rd party hotswap PCB) I know I'm just gate keeping here but it's what makes this board more exclusive.
love watching the master at work, also that cut at 5:30 was too nice
how much are they reselling this for?

Where did you go dude?! Been missing your videos 😢

Thanks so much. Appreciate it!
Enjoyed the video and the background on the board! I’ve never heard of jx switches. Is there something special about the stem?

Sounds like a nice build! This was a commissioned build tho so not mine, I no longer have it.
Sound and function aside lol it’s a gorgeous board.
wen Sonnet tattoo?
The only reason I would like to build boards is the chance to build boards I will never own
That’s one thing I love about doing RUclips and doing commission builds!
