She'll be lucky if she even recieves any child support from him. They're not very efficient of enforcing that either. However, she will get a government check for herself and the baby and qualify for government housing.

What concerns me the most about this situation is the mystery surrounding the baby’s father. From the scant information that Leah gave about him, it’s clear that he was an older man who lied to take advantage of a young girl, which is a serious offense. And it’s troublesome that neither one of Leah’s parents seem to be concerned about tracking him down; they’re focusing instead on how unprepared and immature Leah is. Yes, she does have a long way to go in growing up and learning how to care for a baby. But it’s not as if she was running wild in the streets. It’s also clear that emotionally, she’s still having trouble processing the enormity of the situation, including the fact that this man abandoned her.

The situation sucks but I applaud her for still wanting to follow her dreams and become a doctor. A baby stops nothing, only adds to! Remember that! The worse thing a parent can do is tell their child already in such a tough situation that their lives are over because it’s not. She may be young but that doesn’t mean she deserves to regret this experience for the rest of her life. Be happy and excited but most of all learn from it and do better. She’s capable of doing any and everything she dreams of but at the end of the day if she doesn’t have the right support it won’t stick. I wish nothing but the best for her and her little one! ❤️

I’m not justifying what happened to her but at the same time don’t come for her.. what about the guy? It takes 2 to make a baby. Now for her laziness.. she is very lazy but let’s not forget that she’s just 15 years old and her mom did not train her well enough to be hard working. It’s really not her fault . I actually feel bad for her, but i do applaud her for not doing an abortion because God has a reason for every human being brought to life. I also applaud her for wanting to go to med school that shows determination. I pray and hopes she achieves her dreams in future. I wish there was an updated video or something.

She is not ready for school let alone the responsibility of motherhood. And the parents seem to speak to camera saying they are worried but do nothing to help the situation by entertaining her irresponsible behaviours and passive approach to discipline.
She needs to come down from
Her lofty cloud of holiday mode, and splash the cold waters of reality on her face and wake up.
For herself and also the baby and her loved ones who will be affected by her pregnancy. I matter what anyone says.
She is sweet but will need more than that to even have a hope at coping with young parenthood.
And to think she didn’t even enjoy the experience of the babies conception, it’s so typical of young folk taking part in grown folk things. Young people engaging in premature sexual activities is more about the male pleasure than anything else. And it’s so sad to me that as young woman, they/we subscribe to being taken advantage of in his way, many unknowingly participating in something that benefits them NONE! Then being laden with the consequence and weight of it all. While the boys go off to ruining futures.
I want her to do well. Want her to find her rhythm and enjoy her life. Mentally emotionally spiritually and eventually in a relationship that adds to her life.

There's another girl (also a black girl in London) from the first series who wanted to become a vet. I hope she achieved her dream too.

In 2010 I was 17 not far from her age. I couldn’t even imagine having a baby at that time. I went to Europe that year with my school and traveled to Italy France and Switzerland. That was such an amazing time.

I'm 26 now with my 5th married my middle school sweet heart! I don't encourage teen pregnancy but I do believe in a support system. I do not believe in telling someone their life is over that is so sad. So the moms life is over and the dad gets to live his

You can study parenthood, go to prenatal classes, be rich etc , but no one is ever ready to have a baby. Every child is different. You don't know what you are going to face with that particular child.

If England held the fathers or the fathers parents accountable I bet the underage pregnancies would drop dramatically. They should be financially accountable for their children.

Mother is completely unaware of what's going on with her daughter, hasn't made it her business to know who the father is and hold him accountable, isn't still with the girl's father who also sounds like a clown, the daughter is living in lala land. The father isn't pleased then why wasn't he instilling sense in his daughter? How two derelict parents conspire to raise a pregnant bubble brained daughter.
