    Started right up lovely.👍 Not like those crappy Leyland nationals that churned over for 5 minutes with one cylinder firing, then two, then three and so on with clouds of smoke billowing out.

    We have a one of these as school bus, ours is the model after or a later model. Ours sounds as rough as hell on a cold morning.

    Very nice, I'm hoping to acquire a VanHool bodied Volvo B10M soon, which has been off the road for a while and so should be quite claggy on first startup. I'll make sure to film it and post it on here.

    @cumminsl10olympian Not all. Camerons Travel (South Yorkshire) has two. Only one of them is like that, F896 SMU (A Plaxton Paramount), but F69 HWJ (VanHool Alizee) ain't like that

    The idle doesn't sound too good

      Well as said, she had been sitting out of use for several weeks, and was cold. She idles fine once warmed up, but you can't expect a near 30 year old engine to run completely smoothly, instantly, after having no use for a prolonged period.

      nitrorory Quite Common For old Mechanical Diesels to Lope like that when cold.

    • @alexhickey5633
      @alexhickey5633 4 года назад

      Very common for old diesels particularly mechanical injection diesels (regardless of the age of a mechanical diesel) to have a bouncy idle when theyre cold. They just do it. When they warm up it goes away
