Would have loved it if you explained what the various structure components are and the purpose of them (Project, Event, Library, Key Words). After watching your video I still have no idea what they are and what was Apple's intent each of them. I do understand how you are using them. It would be very helpful to have an explanation at a higher level. Perhaps some explanation on each of the hierarchies and how they relate to each other.

Sometimes I get comments asking to do a specific video - but it can be few and far between. Maybe share how you come up with topics, and advice for smaller RUclipsrs who maybe don't have a huge influx of subscriber questions just yet.

Will this work if I copy this to a hard drive to use from another computer, w/o preventing me from using this on my main computer?

What's not clear to me as a beginner is what a FCP library looks like after working on many projects. Do professional always have a "clean" library, meaning they always delete FCP files/libraries when the final videos are created? Or do they somehow have all the projects, keywords etc etc all available at a glance within FCP?

When you record your vidoes the software you use to record separates your video from your audio?

I'm using a WD 5TB Elements Portable HDD to edit videos with Final Cut Pro. What format should the HDD be in for best performance? ExFAT?

Is there a way to add an mp4 video as a template? Let’s say I have an intro I use in every video. No I need to import it separately every time. Can I add it to FCP to always be there for new videos?

Great video! One question.. in final cut when you import footage, do you still have the option on that it saves your footage in the library? Or do you only have the footage in the maps you created before creating a new library?

I only keep the footage on the original drive, not in the library

I am having trouble figuring out Projects and Events. My main issue is when a clip of a past project (I guess) "sticks" to the beginning of an edited video, and I see that after my export. Its extremely frustrating, and I have spend countless hours trying to figure this out. Sometimes I get this and sometimes I don't. The label above my playback screen says the title from a past video and I don't know what to do.

How do I rename the dropdowns that appear when I import footage? For me, they appear as the date of creation, but I'd like to rename them so I know exactly what is in that collection of footage. It gets very tedious trying to navigate through all these different collections without knowing what's inside them, and then having to scroll all the way back up to close the collection when I see that it's not got the footage I was looking for.

You click, wait a second and click again. Then you should be able to rename it
