  • We arrive late to Lake St Clair, the wind has already began to pick up and begin setting up camp in the wind and rain with lightning flashing near by. Before long our friend Mal noticed the front frame on the awning was twisting and had already kinked in 2 places. So we change plans putting the awning away and trying to shield the swags with the car. The next day we awake to more rain and bother Cherie and I are wet. Cherie has a quick ride on the jet ski and we take of home. The next day I take Cherie to hospital where she spends the next 8 days including Christmas Day.

Yeah we enjoyed catching up with our friends but it was to brief as we arrived late and I had to leave early next morning.

Nice little clip Jim! No good about Cherie having to go to hospital. I think we've all had camping disasters for sure. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Steve

Thanks for watching and commenting Steve it's greatly appreciated. No it wasn't good about Cherie but her immune system is down due to her getting chemo for her breast cancer. We just need to be more careful. I'll probably use scotch guard or something on the swags to stop them from leaking. Mine leaked as well where the bedding was touching the sides. We did get a single swag each to save on room and weight plus they're easier to put on the roof if needed

Thanks mate. Yes the chemo kills her immune system so the body can't protect itself properly. She's obviously out now and all good
