Obnoxiously amusing intro (was there something about pancakes???) but this is a winning format and how all RUclips videos should be. He actually gets to the core point in 60 seconds. It's why I subscribed and why I skip past other videos that take the first 5 minutes to basically fluff the viewer with intrigue (or attempting to if you make it that far).
Wow! Thanks for the kind words! I have seen so many great vids on here that I used to get me going when I got stuck. It makes me smile to know that I'm able to give back to the community that gave me so much! Thanks for watching and for taking the time out of your day to post a comment!
In my entire 1 week training of SharePoint, trainer could not make us understand what metadata is. It was clear to me within 60 sec. Thanks a ton buddy
Man! I love your idea. With this 60-second, straight-to-the-point intro, you add value to your content by improving your audience's listening experience.
Thank you so much for noticing! That was my exact goal. I know we are all busy! We hope you subscribe if you haven't already so you can know as soon as we upload more content!
brilliant for explaining Sharepoint concepts. thank you! I am not looking forward to the rollout of Sharepoint and this video will be a resource for explaining metadata.
You're too kind! Thank you so much for watching and I'm glad you found value here! Good luck with your rollout! We've all been there. The SharePoint community will help you along the way!
Very helpful instruction, thanks! Unrelated question, what screen sharing or recording program do you use to produce this vid? thanks in advance! Oh, just thought of another question for you; If I am putting photos in and I want to use keywords to identify them and be able to sort them later by one or more keywords, how Would I do that? The closest thing Ive found is to create a column with a check list of options but not sure if more than one can be clicked.... hmm.
This may be a premature comment bc I am still watching but what if everything was already in folders and you want to add the folder name as a value in a metadata column for all of the documents in that folder.

Great style for a video! Keeping it brief in the beginning and providing details for those who have time to stick around.

The Window drag-selection seems to be working if starting slightly farther outside the list (just outside the faint lines).
Thx....I swear sometimes things get wonky and then correct themselves...or user error on my part! thx for watching

Go to the a view that shows the folders and update the folder name. Thanks for watching!
That about the limitation of view if you are over 5000 files ?
The files wiĺl not display
It still applies. Make sure you have an indexed column...and trim your views to show fewer files at a time
Easy to get around. Filtering and indexing is what you do. Filters are rad. Metadata for the win!
Thx for watching!
my hero!
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words!!!
