Great video, and it brings back a lot of memories. I'm originally from Bodø and due to work i used to drive from Andenes in the north to Namsos in the south, every month for almost 5 years in a Sprinter van. I've seen the most and experienced every weather conditions, as probably you have. And i can concur, driving over the Helgeland bridge when the light is yellow is rather scary. Living in the far south now it will remain memories. Safe travelling, Slipses! 👍
Hello, I think your videos are so interesting to see the places and communities you drive through. Things you probably take for granted as a driver is completely new and interesting to someone here in the USA. Plus we see all these travel shows, but they rarely show the long drive scenes which is a reality of travel. Your commentaries are also great. Thank you for sharing and helping to expand my understanding of the roads you travel.
Thank you very much 😊👍 well yes, parts of the trips are becoming "everyday" but I still enjoy the scenery, there's never 2 days, that are the same.. Mind you, though I travel through Norway all the time, I am still from the neighbor country Denmark, which is so very different from Norway 😊
@@Slipse Forgive me if this topic is already covered in your videos, as I just discovered your channel. But is it possible to show inside the rest areas you stop at? Several years ago we drove from Venice to Ljubljana and were **shocked** 😲 at how nice the rest areas were and how they cooked fresh, healthy, and delicious meals for us served with silverware. Plus the people were *so* nice. That experience is something we still talk about all the time, bec the USA rest areas are basically all McDonald's type places. Again, thank you.
Thank You so much Slipses for the video. Always looking forward to your videos man. Take Care and enjoy the spring and the coming summer! Already 85 degrees or so in Southeastern Arizona!!
Thank you very much JJ 😊👍 for the first time in my career, I am really looking forward to see the winter go, this one has been not only long, but also more than ordinary demanding, because of the mild temperatures this season..
Everyone below has said it brilliantly! I also appreciate the captions that share so much detail!! It has been a very mild winter here in western Pennsylvania with more April snow than the rest of the winter; the snow never stayed on the ground more than a day.
Thank you very much John 😊👍 Well, that can be the kind of snow, that causes havoc in a very short time 😉 Normally I love the winter season, but this year, with such mild temperatures, I seriously look forward to Spring taking over 😉
Hej Slipse, very great video, I have been a few times in Scandinavia in wintertime, due to my family, and I know that it can be a hard time on the road. The E6 is sometimes a very though road you can struggle with, for 8 years I had some problems on the Kråkmo fjell, before Skarberget.. Keep on the good work and drive safe!! Hilsen fra Nederland.
Hahaha 😂😂 Glad to be of service Mr President 😁👍 yes, it was one of those situations, if I hadn't caught the scene on video, no one would have believed me 😁 anyway, I hope you will stay around for much longer 😉😁👍
Snow driving is down to technique and method as well as forward thinking being ready to react instantly to a changing situation. Anticipation awareness vital. Traction assistance to suit conditions ... chains/no chains as required. Maintaining movement even walking pace is vital, .... once stopped can be difficult to regain motion again. Look a long way ahead, allowing longer stopping distance than normal dry road driving, read the road and camber then drive to to suit what you can see. Happy snow driving, and don't forget to carry a shovel with you and some rough matting to act as a wheel ladder if you get stuck. A fine video, shows it as it really is....tough going! 😉👊👍Good luck to all.

Hi Maggie, yes I am driving like always, I am just way behind in my editing of new videos.. Trying hard to catch up, but with limited spare time, it will take me a little while 😉
Reminds me of when I used to drive trucks in central Quebec, Canada. Of course, we had trucks with 2 drive axles, and our trailers were 20.9m long. Driving in severe winter conditions was brutal, often temperatures were -40c with a strong wind. You had to be ready to fix any problem yourself, or else wait for a day or more to be rescued. We didn't have as many hills, so we rarely had to use tire chains, though.
Jesus... I don't know how i've got to watch this, but... I don't miss Norway. 7 years spent on those roads-NEVER COMING BACK. Thumbs up my friend, respect 👌
New Zealand has some of the biggest logging trucks in the world working off-highway on private roads - which can see Gross Combination Masses of around 150-tonne at work, with the off-road doubles. ruclips.net/video/YIXoZzfBJK0/видео.html This area also hosts a number of tri-drives which are used normally on stem-work, and are used for their traction abilities.

We were on a Hurtigruten ship in January this year got really bad weather and storm force winds, the ship ended up in Alta sheltered from the storm. No wonder the roads get blocked as we had a white out for 24 hours at one stage, and it took over 6 hours for the coach with the passengers going to Kirkenes airport for their flight home.
Thank you very much for your comment Elliot 😊👍 yes mother nature does throw a little of everything in our faces up there 😁 A trip with Hurtigruten is on my bucket list too 😊👍
Vel, norge og nordnorge på vinter er litt vanskelig, det er anbefalt i notd og lenger sør på fjelloverganger å ta på kjetting og noen plasser er det pliktig å gjøre på tunge kjøretøy. Flott video.
Thank you for bringing us with you in this adventure, very informative about how the supply chain works and great gratitude for those who keep it moving. at minute 23 you mentioned the truck stuck because they used salt instead of sand! my understanding was that salt is more efficient than sand.
Salt is not that great as many thinks. If you don't salt often enough, it lose it's effect, and it gets more slippery than if they not salted in the first place. It also highly enhances the chanses of road slush mhen it snows. It is really wet and heavy snow that is neither completely frozen or completely melted. It is much worse than driving on frozen snow or ice.
The snowplow drivers have my respect. Great video, thanks for taking us along with you.
Complimenti bellissimo video...

Thank you very much for your comment Elliot 😊👍 yes mother nature does throw a little of everything in our faces up there 😁
A trip with Hurtigruten is on my bucket list too 😊👍
Outstanding video mate !! .
Thank you very much John 😊👍
very very good nice thank you , you happy new year
Vel, norge og nordnorge på vinter er litt vanskelig, det er anbefalt i notd og lenger sør på fjelloverganger å ta på kjetting og noen plasser er det pliktig å gjøre på tunge kjøretøy. Flott video.
Thanks for the great Video!
Greeting from Jordan ....good job bro
I love the sound of chains biting into the ice 🤩
Me to 😁 but I find it quite boring to mount them 😉😂👍
@@Slipse Very true! They are quite heavy, and it's cold as heck!
Great trip video. Thank you👍🏻
Thank you very much Peter 😊👍
Thank you for bringing us with you in this adventure, very informative about how the supply chain works and great gratitude for those who keep it moving. at minute 23 you mentioned the truck stuck because they used salt instead of sand! my understanding was that salt is more efficient than sand.
Salt is not that great as many thinks. If you don't salt often enough, it lose it's effect, and it gets more slippery than if they not salted in the first place. It also highly enhances the chanses of road slush mhen it snows. It is really wet and heavy snow that is neither completely frozen or completely melted. It is much worse than driving on frozen snow or ice.
you now indonesia......saya suka dengan pemandangan sepanjang jalan...sukses for you.
