One bit of info thats missing is that in mexico, the "true" version of tequila is blanco, because it is un aged and shows off the agave flavor, aging tequila in wood is something thats done to appeal to international tastes that are already familiar with other wood aged liquors. The blue agave plant takes about 7 years to mature and be harvested for tequila, so "hiding" those unique flavors behind wood is seen by many as moving "away" from what tequila should be.
@@MrFredenza So seriously people keep interchageably saying no this is better or that is better, Tequila wise which is great? As far smoothness goes, flavor, pleasant feeling

Brent thankyou! Been looking for other brands of tequila since jose cuervo is more popular here in the philippines than the rest of tequila being mentioned.
Just wanted to throw this out there, 100% de agave means 100% of agave. It isn’t pure agave tequila, but it has “100% of agave” mixed with alcohol. If you’re looking for pure tequila, I recommend looking for labels that say “100% agave” which means basically it’s just the agave fermented with no extra alcohol, which is pure tequila and is quite nice to the throat.
Patron is not 100% agave, or just contains 100% of Agave mixed with alcohol. 1800 is 100% agave. Good 100% agave tequila is found in Mexico, really hard to find in the US without ridiculous markups.
Hi there! Great vídeo! However there are another very important category to mention. Tequila Cristalino is a filtered añejo Tequila looking like a silver one. It tastes and flavor like a regular añejo although more smooth in wood characters. It’s always a great choice for me! Best regards! Marcus
Sauza is better than jose cuervo, and I can assure that since back when I was young I used to sneak out dad's Jose cuervo and the day after, I always had bad hangovers. But when it comes to Sauza, never had a hangover and it also tastes and smells better than jose cuervo overall.
Don't buy Jose Cuervo😖that's cheap, bad quality tequila) as with anything there's a big difference among tequila brands. I recommend Don Julio***one excellent, very special tequila!) there are many Don J. selections, clear or darks. "Herradura" or "Patron" not bad!)
