I've watched every snap of his career, and his stats just pile up so effortlessly. I was trying to figure out what separates JJ from other receivers today. And my conclusion was the same as what they say here: He's incredibly smooth and always seems to be wide open. He's quick but not super twitchy and quick like Antonio Brown. He's fast but not the fastest like a Moss or Hill. He's big enough but not a physical freak like Megatron. He can get jump balls but doesn't go over the top as often as a player like Hopkins. His hands are good but not huge and sticky like Carter. He is just always open and knows how to finish with the ball in his hands. It can feel like he's not doing much in a game but then you look up and see he's got over 100 yards. The player I'd compare him to is Jerry Rice. Not a physical freak, but a smooth route runner and overall great player that knows how to finish with the ball in his hands.
Them LSU wide receivers transfer to the NFL and still put on…Odell,Landry,Chase,and Landry…and they all actually from Louisiana…receivers outta Louisiana just hit a lil different
