Oh I’m on this... side.. I thought people would... understand why I like what I like but... it’s this side of the internet. I like sonic but at some exemptions. This is kinda nit picky but it always bothered me the fact that sonic has one eye that can withstand two irises. Not to mention the super sayan rip off, and also the fact that he was only created to rival Mario and ended in them going multi console. I also hate that some people make Mario automatically the bad guy and decide they aren’t going to give the franchise a chance. I will agree that the genesis was better in design but not in to many games.
The first one with the stop motion in the city reminds me of the Baskin Robin animations. You know, those Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer animations in the 60's?
I was 18 in ‘94 when that game came out. I remember getting the game the day after it came out. That game changed the way of gaming because of the save feature it had. So you never lost what zone you were in. Those were the days when Sega, Nintendo and PlayStation came out.

These commercials are so creative and uquinqe I love them all my favorite one would have to be the one with the comparison of sonic the Hedgehog against super Mario world and also love how the guy chooses sonic and the sega genesis he turly knew that would be a good choice and I'm glad he picked those two because I'd also do that if I were him in that commercial
I remember the UK advert for Sonic 1 like it was yesterday (that's Adrian Brody from the Highlander series in the advert), and I also remember seeing a massive Sonic 2 blimp on the way to London for a martial arts tournament, good times.
It's interesting how much US commercial on the old days would go that for insulting/used their competitor like that without getting sue. I got my MD for Christmas present dying to play Mario and my friends who own SFC dying to plat Sonic, lol. We have a good time visiting each other just to play a video game.

Did you know there was a commercial for Sonic 1 for Game Gear, that had Sonic running out the TV of the Genesis Version, and down a street, only to be caught in a Game Gear? I would commend the person who uploads that extreme rarity.
