Awesome Expanded Candied Pork Belly on a Pellet Smoker

  • Here is a twist on cooking up a pork belly.
    We cross-cut it to open it for more even cooking, seasoned it, smoked on a low setting for a while, cranked up the temp over an open flame and then finished it with a terrific candied glaze.

    Perfect timing. I'm putting my new direct heat smoker together this weekend and was thinking of having the first cook on it a pork belly. What you did looks delicious!

    That pork belly looks pretty tasty and delicious Jeff. Great cook on it. It’s hard to find some good pork belly around where I live. Found some once and it was cut up in little tiny pieces.
