I’m willing to bet that the mod calculates the wooden card’s debuff as 1/2 chance to hit, and the wording saying 1/2 chance to debuff is a mistake. That would at least explain why with oops all 1s you got such horrid luck which vanished the moment you sold jt

Didn't watch the whole video yet, but the joker said 1.209 and you got 1.209 with a debuffed wooden card at 2:53, hmmmmm...
I really like that, it means the Scouter Joker actually has a use beyond just convenience

really love your videos, but if you do mods/new content, can you not cut out the hover over the new cards?^^ would be really nice, to be able to read the new reverse arcana cards
yeah i stopped using jellymod because the reverse tarots are both usually just worse, or the jokers straight up just don't do what they say they do
some of the stuff is interesting in concept but i think reverse tarots need to be actually usable and not a straight up downgrade like reverse empress and hierophant and jokers have to function properly for it to be a recommendable mod
There are definitely some neat ideas in there, but also a lot of stuff that's just "why would you ever use that" which is not great when Balatro already has a ton of stuff for you to sort through.
It's a good mod but there are a lot of problems with it. Scouter joker doesn't consistently acknowledge debuffed cards. Pessimist is extremely bad, and the safari joker makes all cards count as the same suit, which is the smeared joker but 10x better. Reverse tarot cards are also pretty bad.
The effects AND descriptions of the modded jokers also depart enormously from the good, concise convention the game sets forth. Look at the lipographic joker's effect and its description. Look at how some probabilities in the game have a 0.5/2 chance instead of the more clear 1/4.

Didn't watch the whole video yet, but Scouter is broken with Matador, as it uses the calculation snippet of the code to show the result. Hence makes matador trigger each time you click on a card.

The Reverse Soul:
Create a Common Joker
I think Soul is teeechnically a Spectral, but I want to see that happen. Probably a Reverse Fool type thing wherein it has a 50% chance to do nothing (or give a common lmao) and an opposing chance to give a negative legendary.
Also; Reverse Black Hole:
Distribute hand levels evenly between all hand types.
Tactical strategy reset; neuter a Lvl 15 hand you might have built up to switch to a new hand type accomodating a recently attained joker or two.
I think we are all prepared to pay your sanity as the price for content.
So I find it really hard to do a run with the black deck. Currently at 20+ tries for white stake.
Yes that -1 hand especially in the early game, can be extremely brutal, there’s not a ton to help with that, I guess you can restart until you get some nice skip tags, and hope to get lucky

@@jordyvangraven5915 dude, the reason you switch to xmult on plasma is BECAUSE xchips doesn't exist normally. this is the solution to that, albeit a weak one since it's only on 1 specific card modification.
It’s not the same if you have any jokers that give chips or mult after your cards are scored.

0.5 in 2 is the same as 1 in 4, just written differently
and since that is a Justice card, I'm assuming the default chance is 1 in 2, which checks out as 1 in 4 with halved probabilities
for the record, 0.5 in 2 is the chance AFTER All1s effect. it'd be weird for a card to regularly say 0.5 in 2 when thats just a strange way to say 1 in 4. and a 25% chance is pretty common
