I just love that manta ray blob!! So cute! I was painting and watching the Doodle Date livestream, too!! I worry about those kids*. I hope things get better for them soon. *I'm old, and feel like I'm allowed to call everyone younger than me either "kid" or "hon". Also Happy New Year!!
Agreed on everyone even 1 year younger than me is subject to be called "kid" and that's been the case since I graduated HS! I do think things will get better for them, so awful to get evicted at Christmas time (with the mail delay, too, they just could not get a break), but their channel is picking back up and they are just such positive people, I'm sure things will be on the up and up once they move! What did you paint while watching them?

I’ve seen other artists trying to create art out of paint blobs but I’m too chicken to try it myself 🐔😂 I like the lady with the flowers crown, that portrait looks soft/delicate💖 Is it bad that I’m glad to see someone else not “liking” that Stillman & Birn beta series sketchbook? I feel like it was so hyped in the art community and when I got mines I was disappointed. I’m using it as a thumbnails/ brain storming sketchbook just to feel better about not wasting the paper 🤓

It’s totally an art Rorschach test!! 🤣👍🤗 I unfortunately didn’t video that painting but maybe I should do a video demonstrating how I paint cute creatures with my granulating watercolor paint! Any animals in particular you’d like to see if I did that?

Congrats on finishing another sketchbook, 26 is epic. Which Stillman and Birn would you suggest specifically if you were going to only use watercolour? I’m interested in getting one because I enjoy soft cover sketchbooks, but these are kinda pricey here in Australia so it would be nice to know which one out of the ones you’ve used takes watercolour the best. Thank you for your time and videos. 😃
I would first suggest the Strathmore Series 500 softcover mixed media sketchbook, I like it best as a softcover option, and then the Alpha and Beta in Stillman and Birn. Both were better than this Zeta, but neither will really let you “scrub” color off like cotton paper would. I hope that helps!! I have used all three on the channel and toured them if you want to see how various media fared in them. Enjoy!!🤗❤️👍

A lot of people prefer digital or individual pieces of loose paper or canvas! I just love a sketchbook for some reason. Not sure why!🤗❤️👍
