If anyone is wondering, I used this recipe and the cake turned out reallly good. Nice and moist. The frosting turned out great too. I will definitely make again and again!
Just a suggestion: I would use butter instead of oil, add an extra egg (4), always always add a box of pudding mix (vanilla) and milk is a great so is sour cream or flavored coffee creamer. You're cake looks amazing and delicious thank you for sharing.

Here is a tip for those with dentures: put the nuts through a food processor to make the nuts chopped very fine. I did it and they are almost unnoticable

My best friend is Lebanese and he used to get me maamoul made by his mother whenever he went to visit Lebanon (we're in the US). I plan on making these to surprise him and was wondering how far in advance can I make the dough? Can I make it a day in advance and put it in the fridge or is it better to make it the day I'm baking them? Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. Are u going to make the maamoul on my channel? If so u can knead the butter the night before and leave it till next morning to mix the rest of the ingredients. I never put it in the fridge so not sure how it will turn out. Let me know how he likes it once u make it 🥰
What if you were to substitute pineapple juice (canned) in place of the water? I've tasted some carrot cake with pineapple and it was soooo very moist and flavorful!
Hi Gabrielle, yes u do but 5 min prior to cooking time finishing insert a toothpick if it comes out clean then take it out, so it stays moist. Happy baking sweetheart 🥰
Constructive feedback. Disliked because: 1. Gradually adding ingredients: Completely and totally not necessary. It mixes the same way if that is not done. All it does is make the process of making anything take longer. 2. Sifting: Completely and totally not necessary. Again it mixes the same way if that is not done. All doing that does is make the process of making something take longer AND YOU STILL HAD LUMPS.
