People can play & replay & replay... but what you are sharing here is quite a gift. Thanks very much.. There's not much more you can expect out of a 6 string than what you have shown. Tremendous show. p.s. Love the Flintstones.... you just don't hear enough jazzmen play that tune.
I love that counterpoint! Thanks again Adam for another great performance. Man, I don't thing there is anything that we guitarists can't do, when we set out minds to it. Adam pretty much proves that. Let's all keep pumpin those strings. Thanks for the inspiration Adam. Peace.
Incredible, what's going on here, keeping that walkin bass and melody going, giving a drumsolo, some improvising in between, fantastic, words are to less to express, just great, greets Vic.(thanks Fendermac for sending)
Amazing stuff my friend !!!! You are a one man orchestra. Top Notch. I cant belive how many tempos you can keep in your head to play all the different parts.
Bravo Bravo from Austria ! It doesn´t happen quite often that I start to laugh while listening: But your performance makes me happy! Thank you so much ! cu, wolfgang
You are another guitarist that I put on my list as "the most skillful and amazing one". The first on the list is Tommy Emmanuel then people like Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Travis. You feel the music and having fun of playing. You do what u love !
Great work on this a super arrangement of Yabba Dabba doo Rhythm. Great work with Tommy at BBK's 9/16 great to hear you do your "Superstition" arrangement live.Your duo on "Tenderly" put me in mind of the Lenny Breau part on the same tune on the "Standard Brands" album (Tommy did the Chet part). You would enjoy hearing Lenny esp on the Chet collaborations. If LB is undiscovered territory for you you're in for a treat.
God that's gooood! I love those changes Adam and adding "The Flinstones," theme well...how you not right? lol It works out perfectly. You have such great musical palette and a real nack for rhythm. You are such a wonderful influence on my playing and the best part, is that hearing and seeing you play makes me excited about the guitar and especially Fingerstyle Guitar, all over again. I love that. Please give us more Peace. : D
Bravoooooooooo, very nice, i remember you seeing a martin taylor video at bernie's house in 05, where u saw him playing playing i got rhythm and now you take the song to a new level:-)
jajaja nice one for throwing in the flintsones. same chords right? awsome arangement, the melody is perfectly expressed with an amazingly executed wallking bassline... i may have to give it a go...
Hey Adam, amazing stuff. I didn't even know you play acoustic fingerstyle - I thought you were a straight-ahead beboper (and a great one, at that). Post more!
I would like to see you in concert. I'll bet you rock the stage. More than that, I would so much like to see you in concert with Tommy Emmanuel. THer ywo of you would complement each other so well. Boy! The two of you could fill a double-sized auditorium.
Hey, Adam! How did a white guy get all that rhythm??? :-D Nice to see you still ripping up the fretboard, my friend! And HELL YEAH! Pounding that guitar Tommystyle now... and the fingerpicking at the end (I ain't gonna give away the song) made me just about hit the floor laughing... you are really taking fingerstyle into be-bop in your OWN way... nice to see a true pioneer at work! Of course, this is saved on the AVA again... :-) PEACE!
That was said as a joke to Adam from another video he had where we've been both talking back and forth about being bald. It wasn't worth explaining here, but seeing you are focused on trying to correct my comment from 2 years ago, I guess I'll let you in on it. Sorry to all for this interruption. Now, back to this wonderful video
Great playing, it's wonderful to see some real independence of line in this recording! How do you make your tone so sharp with your fingers? If nails, what do you do to keep the steel strings from eating them up?
Awesome, Adam! I agree, this switch puts you in Tommy Emmanuel territory... I think you or on the verge, man - we will all say " I knew Adam back when...." Keep it up, but post some bop, please!
I shave mine too, but still not having any luck with the ladies. Must be my Western mentality or maybe I'm ugly. Either way, I love your playin'. I especially like the Ethel Merman/Flintstones convergence. Oh, and if you ever need any guitar repair work done, I'm your man.
Nice chord voicings man. As a jazz player, i can appreciate that you have that diverse of a chord vocabulary. Did you spend a lot of time working on jazz/studying in school or anything?
whoah that was so cool!!! Would be awesome to hear from 58 secs to 1 min 2 secs in harmonics...kinda like tommy uses a lot!!! But man that was great!!! 5 stars!!!!
that's so funny. i was at a party this summer and i asked my friend (with better ears than mine) to figure out 'the flinstones' which he did. my other friend, a trumpet player, remarked that it was 'i goy rhythm' chords.
I can see that an acoustic guitar can become quite dangerous in the hands of someone like you. Go back to electric before you kill us all! Seriously though, you make most of us want to go back to the woodshed, either to practice, or to to get some lighter fluid for the bonfire that we just through our guitars in.
Hey there! Well the tube is a start...I just drove 14 + hours back from Kentucky - had a few gigs there! You'll see more of me, I hope, in person!!!!
People can play & replay & replay... but what you are sharing here is quite a gift. Thanks very much.. There's not much more you can expect out of a 6 string than what you have shown. Tremendous show.

Playing with Tommy would be a dream come true. Thank you so much!!!!
No nails. This arrangement is very hard, I have not played it in a while!!! Thank you...
Yes, you do have rhythm! And pitch, harmony, groove, verve, and PLAYFULNESS!
Incredible, what's going on here, keeping that walkin bass and melody going, giving a drumsolo, some improvising in between, fantastic, words are to less to express, just great, greets Vic.(thanks Fendermac for sending)
guys like you make me love playing music even more
I didn't think it could get much better, but then you did the most kick ass Flintstones rendition on earth in the middle. Hats off good Sir.
Nathan
The mic in the vid is an Oktava Mk319. I recently did a CD with 2 stereo matched SAMSON C02's for stereo sound. Thanks for posting!!! Cheers!!!
Amazing stuff my friend !!!! You are a one man orchestra. Top Notch. I cant belive how many tempos you can keep in your head to play all the different parts.
Glad you liked it. This arrangement is a tricky one!!! I don't always perform t - it is a vey high maintenance piece. Thans again!!!

Martin Taylor with a thumbpick meets Fred Flintstone! kidding aside thats quite amazing you should be in Vegas playing at the Mirage or something
Yeah but it’s so tricky I stopped playing this one. Maybe I ought to revisit it! Thank you!

Hilde
I never enjoyed rhythm changes so much! Standing ovation (I look a tad silly standing here applauding my 'puter ~ but it's worth it!!).

DUDE, you are dangerous.
You should try to get on a late night talk/variety show. I haven't seen anything better on any of 'em.
which came first, the Taylor or the Cole Clark? I ask because I've just gone from on to the other...
@crescentridge - oh and how dreams come true...

Nice job!.. 314ce?
Wow - watching this in 2020? This was 13 years ago.....yep 314 ce. It may come back out for some new vids...the acoustic sound is really good.
@@adamrafferty. Sorry I'm so late to the game but my friend just sent me this link yesterday. I have that same guitar, love it and love your playing.
Flinstones!!!
extraordinaire !
mais combien de cerveaux a-t-il ? ça a l'air si simple..
*****
sorry, aleman would not have agreed - you need to stick to the classic structure
(hint: see ton von bergeyk's arrangement)

Great playing, but the follically challenged should never do skull shots. Consider a hair tat.
He's just trying to be funny. Please focus on the music sir!. Sheesh!
awesome
