Brilliant! Moving! Tender! Haunting! Lovely! Beautiful! Fantastic blending of what a master playing acoustic guitar with just the right song to be embraced by the sounds of that instrument. I just might fall in love to this in some blissful future.
As I stumble along in my guitar life with two left feet and ten thumbs I am always inspired by Adam & his seemingly limitless talent and dedication to his craft. Thank you so much for posting such a wonderful video.
This is breathtaking! You're probably tired of people asking you for tabs but if you get the video lesson rights to this one, "Rock with you" and "Got to be there", I'm buying! Excellent playing and feel!!!
@crescentridge You are an amazing musician, and I salute you. I've been listening to music for 45 years and am known to be a tough critic; I know wxcellence when I hear it. BTW I was in Jaco Pastorius' first band, way back in '64.
ADAM,,,,Why do you have 9 thumbs down? Who would not like your playing. I think they were jealous musicians. Or maybe they just don't get your style. Can't win everyone I guess. : - \ But I am totally sold on your technique.
Spruce top, queensland maple on back & sides. The C's and Matons are similar. In all the Bangkok vids I play a CC. The CC Angel spruce top is similar to the axe in this vid. Thanks!!!
@Zeppolino100 How cool! Well I guess all those years of my shedding bebop, Charlie Parker tunes and Giant Steps have somehow paid off. Thank you kind sir!
another favorite of mine. dude you are an alien lol. you make it seem so easy that you could very well be listening to sports talk radio over these headphones! ....( seriously, i guess you have a click or some basic beat playing, right?)
Hey Dude sorry for the confusion but it was me who took the video response down as i wasn't happy with the mix , but i have sent another to Adam and it will be on my channel just less reverb . cheers Alex
@crescentridge I love bebop and Charlie Parker. Will have to check out Giant Steps, don't know them. And you are very welcomed to my comments. Every word was felt and meant.
Simply Outstanding dude, simply outstanding style and playing...I'm impressed (by the way the sofa you're sitting on along with the pillows is the exact same one my wife and I have?)...Joe
Thank-you Staffy...I did not want to give the wrong impression...I know who was first out of the two because I've followed and admired Adam for many years ... Adam teaches this stuff and Chapoid did an excellent rendition based upon Adam's arrangement I just wanted to know where it had gone ... though - sorry to be pedantic but actually Clifton Davis' was the first guys... let's never forget that eh?
Wow man, this is the best mj song ive heard on guitar or anyinstrument for that matter. May I ask what kind of recording equipment u use and do u know of any mic with great quality but not gonna cost me hundreds and hundreds of $
More MJ! WOHO! Love it Adam, would you recommend using a built in microphone for recording the guitar or something like you have? I can't decide what to go for. I'm thinking about getting either a new mic or a new guitar with a mic inside it so I can maybe plug it to the comp.
@bunguy66 by mistake I removed your comment...the new YT buttons are strange. Yes, DVD shoot this summer - stay tuned. Sorry for removing your reply!!!
This flows so smoothly. New guitar and no thumbpick? Did you drop the the thumbpick just for this song or is that across the board? Great arrangement! --John
Just experienced strange feel like I'm an 18 years old girl, have waken up and listening to my boyfriend's morning song, while actually Im 30 and Im a man :))
Adams versions are so emotionally close, I cry at their beautiful expressions!!!!
MWa need to,!!
Brilliant! Moving! Tender! Haunting! Lovely! Beautiful! Fantastic blending of what a master playing acoustic guitar with just the right song to be embraced by the sounds of that instrument. I just might fall in love to this in some blissful future.
You ARE the king, your comment means a lot - thanks Martin!!! We listened to your CD in the car in Bangkok!
As I stumble along in my guitar life with two left feet and ten thumbs I am always inspired by Adam & his seemingly limitless talent and dedication to his craft. Thank you so much for posting such a wonderful video.
The "flow" and "air" you speak about really comes through, and hits you right in the chest on this one. Great job Adam!
Great timing, lag, muting skills and nuances of original tracks. You also play so soulfully. You my friend are the real deal !!!
This is breathtaking! You're probably tired of people asking you for tabs but if you get the video lesson rights to this one, "Rock with you" and "Got to be there", I'm buying! Excellent playing and feel!!!
Love it~!I'm really sad that M.J is gone...
THE LEGEND...

NO click at all, ever. Just a monitor for the guitar sound...for real yo!!! Thank you so much....AR

Man, you're an innovator. That was beautiful.
External mics are my favorite!!!
Awesome chord progression bro nice very nice

ADAM,,,,Why do you have 9 thumbs down? Who would not like your playing. I think they were jealous musicians. Or maybe they just don't get your style. Can't win everyone I guess. : - \ But I am totally sold on your technique.
Oh Dude, thanks. This one ain't too tricky. The hard part is the melody on the "Never Can Say Goodbye" chorus part.
@bunguy66 This one will probably be on the DVD...thanks!
excellent job Adam!

Spruce top, queensland maple on back & sides. The C's and Matons are similar. In all the Bangkok vids I play a CC. The CC Angel spruce top is similar to the axe in this vid. Thanks!!!

woot another amazing piece! How to you make your acoustic guitar so easy to pitch bend like that? What kind of set or gauges are you using?
More MJ! WOHO! Love it
Adam, would you recommend using a built in microphone for recording the guitar or something like you have?
I can't decide what to go for. I'm thinking about getting either a new mic or a new guitar with a mic inside it so I can maybe plug it to the comp.
@crescentridge
and yet still, you played it so vevry easily.
@bunguy66 by mistake I removed your comment...the new YT buttons are strange.
Yes, DVD shoot this summer - stay tuned. Sorry for removing your reply!!!
Hey Adam! Love this video. Did you find inspiration from that "Flip Wilson" rendition at all?
shit hot arranger and player, what a superb right hand. brilliant !
This flows so smoothly. New guitar and no thumbpick? Did you drop the the thumbpick just for this song or is that across the board? Great arrangement! --John
great version : )
Doesn't get any better... it really doesn't man! : )
Great!! Unbelievable...
muy bueno!!!
to listen to the song at the same time!
no thumbpick -> smooth bass and clicks ; )
i never really liked playing with thumbpicks myself even though the basslines sound much stronger...
great :)
love yr newsletter ;)
@raggafury the clicks there, but not in his headphones. just watch his leg moving as he clicks his foot ;)
I'll announce something about tabs soon...I am working with trying to get licenses.
I was just noticing that you were BENDING in front of a capo.
Any recommendations on capos that will allow this with out sticking the string sharp?
The capoleta is not a bridge. It allows you to bend. It just hold the bar,,, Like you would with your finger
: - )
Adam how much would a CC guitar run for? thanks, Raf
Thumbs up!!!
awesome! :D
@18mofako OMG thank you.
