- In this series of videos, a staff member of the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) explains the technical steps in the process of treating wastewater (sewage) at a treatment plant in layperson’s terms. These videos were produced to assist leaders, board members and other decision-makers of wastewater utilities in small, rural communities in understanding what is involved and what it takes in terms of resources and expertise to treat wastewater for a community from the time it leaves the house or building of a customer to the time it is discharged back into a water body. These leaders can then make more informed decisions about the operations, maintenance, and expansion of their wastewater-treatment infrastructure. These videos are part of a multimedia package and are attached to an animated diagram showing the steps in the treatment process available at rcap.org/animations/index.html
Good job bill. Great explanation. And of course, i love the background music.
Being an Operator is very rewarding career and pretty much recession proof if you license up and apply yourself. People ALWAYS have to poop and pee and it has to be treated even in a hurricane. Good pay in the long run and very rewarding because you have to keep the plant in balance so you don't make it mad.
sounds like my fish tank. I'm already licensed basically😂
What's the company name

During both primary and secondary treatment, solids are removed, and pumped to enclosed, anaerobic, heated tanks. What is done to treat
these solids before they leave the plant? Can someone help me with this question :)
The Sludge from PST and SST is treated anaerobically. The sludge is taken in Digestors where inert solid, liquid and gases like methane is formed.. The solid formed here can be dried on Sand Bed and afterwords can be used as Manure..
2:35 electricity blower which blow hot air to keep septic water from freezing ?
no the blowers mission is to provide oxygen into the aeration tank so that microorganisms can live and break up contaminant molecules
