Fun Fact: Ben 10 Transforming Into All Of His Aliens At The End Is Supposed To Symbolising Every Species In The Universe Wanting To Protect The World That's So Precious To Them.
31:33 The reason why the Omnitrix is so important is because if anything happens to a civilization of aliens like extinction or the planet blowing up. The Omnitrix can bring back that civilization from the dead due to it having the species DNA sample stored away. The watch has Millions upon Millions of sentient life forms DNA in it (not explaining how, would take to long). *TL;DR: The Omnitrix not only fixes DNA but acts like a Noah Arc if anything happens to the Universe*
Not only that, one of many reasons for the creation of Omnitrix is to walk in somebody else's shoes to bring people together. But instead it did the exact opposite and made people fight over it to obtain power.
1:00:20 a fan theory I read somewhere and loved is that Ben sees the 5th dimensional beings (I’m not gonna try to spell them) as smoothies because when Ben recreated his universe as Alien X, the only thing that wasn’t an exact copy was the flavour of a specific smoothie so Ben sees that smoothie to show that what he really wants is his old universe back, because that smoothie is the one reminder that all his original friends, enemies and events are gone forever
One of my favorite parts of the Trial scene at 56:40 is that they reveal that this ISN'T the first time the universe has been remade-using screenshots of the older series, they actively say that every time the art style changes (the different eras of the show: OG, Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, Omniverse, etc) the universe had already been remade.
So, the reason why the Omnitrix gave Ben new forms and locked his old ones, is because the way the watch works is it has a massive record of alien DNA, and then sorts that DNA into playlists of 10, and so when it updated itself it just kinda…accidentally switched from Playlist 1 to playlist 2.
I heard it also suggested that the forms were switched based on the person who used it. Kid Ben was a little kid who needed firepower now, so he got straightforward forms like four arms who smashes things, and grey matter who is smart and small. Teenager Ben was more experienced so he got forms with more diverse and complicated powers, Four arms was replaced with a giant dinosaur, that bigger and more unwieldy but I suspect much stronger, it worse as a go to form like kid ben would of treated it but better at brute strength. Heatblast straight fireball shooting was replaced by swamp fire, who trades some of the flame power for Floriakineisis allowing for more tactically advanced ploys. Simple but practical got replaced with difficult but awesome.
The reason Ben never uses Alien X afterwards is because he knows it's too powerful, so he gives Kevin and Gwen keys that, when used together, unlocks Alien X for Ben to use Edit: The video also didn't cover the crossover event where Ben 10 and Generator Rex work together. It's pretty cool!
@@maple_the_wolf Yea, he used him once during the fight with the rooters without the keys He would have defetead them if Kevin didn't try fake betraying them
The crazy thing about the whole destruction and replacing of the universe thing is that it's heavily implied to have happened multiple times before and maybe even after through shenanigans from other members of Alien X's species with nobody remembering and that serves as an in-universe explanation for any plotholes, continuity errors and questionable redesigns that occur within the series
It is even brought up in that trial that they are the reason Azmuth looks and sounds different in each series and why the art style changed, it was them
I think they just do straightforeward reality warping rather then destroying and rebuilding the universe every time they change something. Recall that the destruction of the universe was sort of a wierd event.
The reason the pod locked directly to Ben when falling is because it was set on Max's DNA, so it literally would have flown to the grandpa if Ben hadn't gone on his walk
Except Ben isn’t 100% Max’s DNA as he is a grandson, not a clone. Having an alternate Ben force it to change course is more complicated but is more reasonable.
It was retconned in Omniverse, true reason why the pod did 90 degrees turn was because "No watch" Ben whacked the pod towards young Ben using Cannonbolt
@@Nelsito99 He would only have 25%. Lower when accounting the entire human population sharing a common ancestor. If it was really accounting for Max’s signature it shouldn’t have changed so drastically to Ben. At most just shift it’s position a tiny bit. This was something I thought about years before Omniverse or even Alien Force came out because it just didn’t make sense for a franchise that uses a degree of realism in its writing.
To further explain about the Omnitrix not destroying the universe upon self destructing, Ben told it to count down in 30 seconds, where as it was charging for several days the first time around as Ben and Tetrax were trying to find Azmuth.
Celestialsapiens are also canonically the reason for the art style change. They are so powerful they are the in universe retcon button. No wonder it takes them thousands of years to make decisions.
Believe me, Ben 10 still has a lot of "villain of the week, hero time go alien" type stuff trough its entirety, but it also definetly had its overarching stories and ever grander "Final Bosses" if you may, with the ocational time travel stuff, this really skipped to the important stuff in order to not take even longer, it's not always this super complicated, but it definetly gets super complicated when it gets there, if that makes sense. Yes, Ghostfreak is a great villain, he makes like his evil gang of monster aliens various times and at one point even takes over Vilgax's planet which forces him to ask Ben for help. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Alien X is still preety much a last resort thing, its split personalities could still disagree to act together, but now they're more willing to agree and actually get stuff done, before he was literally useless, like, even when the universe was destroyed and he had to recreate it, they were still like "nah I still don't wanna" until Ben really begged for them to agree just this once. He'd still be a force to be reckoned with without Alien X, but he clears anything if he gets the personalities to agree, which is now not as hard as it used to be.
Also, he knows that alien x is WAY to strong for him to handle, and since he had various "power trip" moments back then, he decided to lock away alien x as a last resort thing
I think Alien X’s mental toll is another thing to consider. I mean, the psychological and philosophical implications of omnipotence are pretty insane, let alone for a kid.
So to answer your questions about Ghostfreak. Ghostfreak's species: Ectoneurites, are able to preserve their consciousness within their cells. Ghostfreak was actually the ectoneurite leader Zs'Skayr, who went out into the universe looking for more power to help in his invasion efforts, though he wound up getting trapped in the Omnitrix and was basically reborn from it, a couple of times even. Ben eventually gets a new ectoneurite form separate from Zs'Skayr, thus returning Ghostfreak to the Omitrix roster.
Didn't he absorbed Zs'Skayr back into the omnitrix and afterward is the reason there are chains all around Ghostfreak to represent he is now chained up and can no longer escape?
the reason why Albedo turned into Ben was: The omnitrix stores its user's DNA so that they can go back to their original body after transforming. Albedo's knock off omnitrix synchronized with the real one, but the real one still had Ben's DNA recorded as the "default", so Albedo's DNA got overwritten with Ben's and was lost forever, trapping Albedo in Ben's body.
For reference, Feedback is capable of storing the energy of the Big Bang. Sure, Way Big (the kaiju alien) is cool, but kinda hard to use when battling street thugs. Not every problem can be solved by throwing Godzilla at it, y'know?
I never really thought about how immediately crazy the Ben 10 timeline is in chronological order. Like... the shows gradually ramped up the stakes from "superhero kid fights aliens" to "hero of heroes saves the multiverse", but with flashbacks and time travel shenanigans presented in chronological order, the story begins with Ben preventing sabotage of the birth of the universe.
Ben 10 was and is one of the most GOATED kids show ever with such complex characters and relationships that they feel like people and not just your stand in Saturday cartoon characters.
If I had a nickel for every time Patterrz reacted to a president being in a cartoon network show, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it's happened twice.
One thing I feel like explaining is that Ben doesn’t get stuck in the time loop, his life continues on and he’s supposedly going to go on a universal road trip after witnessing it’s creation (still waiting for that series Fr 😢). Maltruant is simply stuck executing his same failed plan while everyone else moves on.
The reason why the Omnitrix didn't blow the whole universe with its self destruct is because the self destruct needs to charge for a couple days before it have enough power to destroy the universe. Ben activates the self destruct and let it it charge for only 30 seconds which was enough to blow away vilgax and destroy the omnitrix
9:41 I don't know why but everytime I see someone react to Kuro's Ben 10 lore video, people's reaction towards George Washington being apart of Ben 10 lore is always funny.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265it is just mind-boggling to have historical figures get involved in fiction I find it awesome as long as it treated with respect
Ben 10 is a cartoon that I don't remember but I remember at the same time, every time I see a character from Ben 10 I just get bombarded by child hood memories
Hot take: In terms of the alien itself, not Z’Skayr, I think I like Big Chill more than Ghostfreak, but not by a substantial amount. I consider them both awesome phantoms.
I flip flop between which I like more, because Ghostfreak has a lot of powers that Ben doesn’t use because they’re unlocked when he removes the skin or has to be in space which gives his species more depth. However I love bigchill at face value a lot more. Both are amazing tho like you said
@@KyuuDesperation Basically, Necrofriggians (Big Chill's species) reproduce asexually every 80 years. Because of how humans age proportional to Necrofriggians (or at least how the Omnitrix interprets it), Big Chill was in that stage of its life. To carry out the process, the Omnitrix would forcibly turn Ben into Big Chill when necessary, with Ben having no control or memory of what he did as Big Chill. After the babies are born, they leave Ben and head off into space since that's just what their species does, which completes the process. The only reason Ben knows what happened is because Kevin, Gwen, and Julie (Ben's current girlfriend) witnessed it and told him after. Ben never looked physically pregnant or anything, and neither did Big Chill from what I recall. Big Chill being pregnant is a reveal they leave until the end, so up until that point the best guess Ben's friends had was that another Ghostfreak incident was happening or something. However, Ben was acting more motherly in human form, and had a craving for pickles while he was going through Big Chill's process, so Big Chill did effect him in human form in other ways. The episode is called "Save the Last Dance", and it's from Ben 10: Alien Force if you're curious. The episode isn't as weird when watched normally, but I guess it does explain how the Omnitrix handles pregnancies, for what it's worth.
15:19 Ben actually did get full control of Ghostfreak back in Omniverse. It took a while, but after that he could use Ghostfreak like any other alien form.
I do love that the Ben 10 timeline is this chaotic ouroboros that begins and ends with the creation of the universe, that's just really cool, name another show that pulls THAT off.
36:21 well the show explained the logic that self destruct will destroy the universe when given sufficient time to charge (earlier the self destruct was charging for a week or so,) but when confronting Vilgax, Ben commanded the omnitrix to self destruct in 30 seconds, hence only the omnitrix will be destroyed and not the universe, as there is not enough force charged to do so
The reason why no one came back to steal the omnitrix when Ben had it removed is that it can only be tracked when it’s activated Ben kept it deactivated in his closet for four years so no one knew where it was
He can't just use Alien X for everything BECAUSE of the whole "Being put on trial" thing. He gets to go free that one time thank to winning the trial by combat, but if he pissed off the race of omnipotent reality benders again, then he is unlikely to get off that easily. Plus the whole "with great power come great responsibility" part of being a superhero and how they shouldn't kill the bad guys or use more power than necessary to save the day.
The reason Ben doesn't use Alien X as often, after full controll is because he believes that all of his aliens are capable of defeating enemies without any need of Alien X.
I like how this man compares a part of the story to Star Wars, to which fair, then we see Maltruant (the last villain they face) who is voiced by Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker).
I recommend why Ben 10 can beat pretty much anyone. It goes into detail about the different aliens and why he could beat superman, goku etc. It's a great video
I like to think that ultimate Ben 10K specifically tried his hardest not to become the Ben 10k that he met in the original series. That's why he was so light hearted and goofy, cuz the original was so serious. The original Ben 10K stayed in alien form 24/7 so ultimate Ben 10K found a way to fight while staying human 24/7
I grew up with the first Ben 10 season and Alien Force/Ultimate Alien, but I stopped at Omniverse. A few years ago I got the itch to binge the entire series, and after doing so, I fell in love with Omniverse after finishing it. I absolutely love stories that encorporate some type of time travel and parallel universe shenanigans, so naturally this became my favorite season. It also looks visually nice and has a lot of comedic moments. I highly recommend everyone who hasn't seen it to give Omniverse a shot, it's amazing. It only got a bad reputation when it started airing because people weren't happy with the artstyle change, but after getting used to it, I ended up liking the artstyle more than Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, with only the OG season looking better imo.

Your reaction to Ben giving away Ascalon is pretty much one of the perfect examples of why people shouldn't just have that kind of power and why Ben doesn't always use Alien X even after getting control. Far too tempting. Also he technically still needs to ask for permission to take control of Alien X and you never know when they'll be in a cranky mood.
Alien X has three personalities Serena, voice of love and compassion, Bellicus, the voice of rage and aggression, and Ben the voice reason, Ben makes them to agree so he can actually use Alien X that's why he is the voice of reason
Each series became increasingly interested in world the original is were the basic ideas and villain of the week stuff happened. Alien force got a lot more serious but stayed mostly on earth while still pointing out the bigger picture. Ultimately alien returned a bit to the villain of the week format but on a significantly larger scale. Omniverse is were the weird shit happened and also a good 90 percent of the time line weirdness.

I saw someone in the chat overlay make a comment about Maltruant making a different choice so he can win, there's a simple answer for that: in the final episode of Ben 10 Omniverse, Professor Paradox tells Ben that Maltruant is forever unaware that he's in a time loop, and is doomed to fail over and over, so Maltruant making a different decision each time just isn't possible
the reaction we never knew would happen also no one came to kill Ben during those 4 years was bcz he had deactivated the Omnitrix so it didnt send any signal and most of his enemies were trapped soemwhere else
Yeah. Since Ben was travelling, most of his foes either tracked him down through news reports, tracked him through the Omnitrix, or randomly ran into him. Assuming that the technology tracks with the real world, the villains would have mid to late 2000s internet as far as tracking Ben's movements go if they actually wanted to find him without tracking the Omnitrix or something. Doesn't explain why the Rooters didn't steal the Omnitrix in those 4 years if they thought Ben was so dangerous, but I guess the writers hadn't thought about that part yet...
@@flarestorm9417 yeah and since Ben didn't came in their way during those 4 years, they never bordered to track him I think bcz Ben removed the Omnitrix and hence the coming storm subsided, or it could be that they were focusing on other things

Including the movies, while the live action ones not being the best, still have things that corolate to the series. He doesn’t have to do videos on them, but if he was interested, he could start watching it on his own. The other series is what made me a huge Ben 10 fan, including the Ink Tank crew who are pretty much fanatics of the franchise. For those who may not know of the ink tank, they made a crossover fan comic between Ben 10 and Danny Phantom. Very good comic. The story and the tons of new aliens are awesome.
He can skip Race Against Time. Nothing was kept canon from that aside from Eon as a concept. Alien Swarm is weird tho 'cause it technically is canon, but Elena is just a clusterfuck of inconsistencies.
@@SpectralDynamite yeah I guess, but if when when eon shows up, usually people who watched the movie should recognize him from RAT. RAT just happened in another timeline. This is completely separate from everything else, but I think the reboot is over-hated. I still find it enjoyable for what it was.
Patterz, sir, Ben stated himself during the finale of Alien Force that the Omnitrix has the power to destroy the universe if the user lets it charge for a couple of days. time limits like 30 seconds only have enough power to destroy the omnitrix and giving minimal damage to people that aren't ben or any of the good guys

Most People hate Omniverse but it is a masterpiece. If Ben used alien X to delete maltruent that would mean the time race never happened and vilgax would not get his insane lust for the power of the Omnitrix and that would cause the fight when delivering the Omnitrix to never happen and Ben would never get the Omnitrix .
Nowadays nobody hates Omniverse, that was a thing of the past but people nowadays love it. But they found a new enemy to hate and that is the reboot, even though it has it's redeeming qualities people are hesitant to give it a pass for a bunch of reasons. But Omniverse is getting a bunch of love nowadays which is deserved, the thing that mostly happens nowadays is that people are not giving Omniverse a chance which is a shame since it's filled with great story arcs and great character moments with the best art out of the 4 series. The shift in tone made fans not want to engage in it but it's 200% worth giving it a chance.
And Vilgax wouldn't get the Chronosapien time bomb, which is another big piece of Ben being Ben. If the time bomb wasn't activated, No watch Ben wouldn't go back in time to manipulate the events so that Ben prime finds the Omnitrix. When the details are broken down like that… it's brilliant, honestly. Omniverse is a masterpiece.

@@Rodyx9 I mean, different crew worked on the sequels. So the original crew had no way of knowing. But they do it so well it makes it seem almost planed. It's great.
The reason the self destruction is so powerful is because it was activated prematurely and the charge was able to build up, later ben uses it and it activated in like 10 seconds so it just destroyed the watch
"who cares about no watch Ben, he's like super normal." If every other version of a person has superpowers except one, the one that doesn't have Powers is the abnormal one 😭
Even though Ben has mastered alien x, alien X’s species has rules and laws that prevents Ben from using alien x whenever he wants, he can still use alien x but whatever he does with him is illegal, Ben didn’t know this at the time. So after his trial he basically has to get permission to use alien x otherwise he’ll be on trial again.
Ben doesn't really use Alien X beyond the whole trial thing because in order to use Alien X at that point he basically convinced the other 2 personalities to basically give him the keys to Alien X to defend himself during the trial. Its assumed that if he was to try and use Alien X again he'd have to deal with the 2 other personalities again who never agree on anything viewing Ben as the tie breaker for half a dozen arguments they've had which they think is more important then whatever Ben came to them to do as Alien X which you can imagine makes using Alien X frustrating
Not exactly I'm pretty sure he just didn't feel comfortable using that level of power all the time since in the Rooters arc of Omniverse he uses Alien X again with full control
Pat's face when this video starts out with 'Hero Beyond Time Ben Ten' XD It's amazing to see people hit in the face with the stories out of plot order.
52:58 The second series started years after the first concluded. From series 2 on the target audience was pre teens and teens. Despite what you're seeing here it was even illustrated darker. Also while Gwen and Kevin kept their voices, Ben now had a deeper voice so had to be replaced. Though the original WAS still used A LOT, mainly for the crossovers and brand new flashback, which where actually very common in season 5.
Ben would never just use Alien X for no reason. He respects each of his transformations and their species', and acts as a symbol of coexistence, so to him, abusing his Celestial sapient transformation is out of the question since it goes against that entire duty. Also, there's no reason to delete Maltruant, as he's trapped in a time loop, without any hope of victory or even realising he's in one, so no need to mess with the timeline. Also, fun fact, Professor Paradox is just a guy, who while trapped in the failed time machine experiment, went insane, then got bored and went sane again, then learned the secrets of the universe across like a thousand years, including how to manipulate time and space, and uses his abilities to preserve the natural flow of the time stream. He can even enter spaces that potentially aren't even real (like Alien X's "mindspace" where Ben is "transported" to converse with Bellicus and Serena in order to control Alien X, which afaik isn't confirmed to be real or just a mental projection for Ben to perceive what's going on).
The reason why the Omnitrix blows up the entire universe is that Azmith meant for ONLY the omnitrix to blow up but it has so much energy that if it charges for too long then that energy erupts, then the universe ends
Earlier in the video: “an IMMORTAL man named George goes on a quest to defeat the Dagon” Patternz, after hearing about a man named Old George going on another quest to defeat the Dagon: “Is it George Washington?”

@@legojarjarbinks2564 Extremely unlikely, as Kevin remembered this when he accidentally bumped his head with Servantis, so Servantis would have to make it up in milliseconds. Which means we need to find out who was the fucker who blew up and remade the universe that is now the new ben 10 reboot and put them on a trial

@@AmirifizWell, except for the final special when we see the Bens from the main universes.
It actually playlist 3 because of the add-ons like cannonbolt and benwolf
Some were unlocked again like four arms
The reason Ben never uses Alien X afterwards is because he knows it's too powerful, so he gives Kevin and Gwen keys that, when used together, unlocks Alien X for Ben to use
Edit: The video also didn't cover the crossover event where Ben 10 and Generator Rex work together. It's pretty cool!
it was only until UA, later he doesn't use it until the situation really calls for it bcz the episode would get boring

It was retconned in Omniverse, true reason why the pod did 90 degrees turn was because "No watch" Ben whacked the pod towards young Ben using Cannonbolt
nah Cannonbolt hit it, it reacted to Ben and attached to his wrist bcz of Max's DNA

@rednecromancer2579 Exactly. Just KNOWING that you can end all of reality with a passing thought is something that can take a toll and make you snap.
Didn't he absorbed Zs'Skayr back into the omnitrix and afterward is the reason there are chains all around Ghostfreak to represent he is now chained up and can no longer escape?

for those who are wondering Maltruant is from a species known as the chronosapians who can control time including traveling to the distant past
the reason why Albedo turned into Ben was:
The omnitrix stores its user's DNA so that they can go back to their original body after transforming.

Fun fact: ben gave birth in one episode of alien force.
Dang it, you beat me to it.
Wait what
@@KyuuDesperation yeah his alien big chill give birth asexually and now he have like 8 to 9 kid's.
@@jonathanrolle2046 excuse me, WHAT?!
36:21 well the show explained the logic that self destruct will destroy the universe when given sufficient time to charge (earlier the self destruct was charging for a week or so,) but when confronting Vilgax, Ben commanded the omnitrix to self destruct in 30 seconds, hence only the omnitrix will be destroyed and not the universe, as there is not enough force charged to do so
The reason why no one came back to steal the omnitrix when Ben had it removed is that it can only be tracked when it’s activated
Ben kept it deactivated in his closet for four years so no one knew where it was
He can't just use Alien X for everything BECAUSE of the whole "Being put on trial" thing.
Every art style change in the series is canon.
I love how they address it, they didn't needed to but they still did for a good joke and show how powerful Celestialsapiens are
The reason Ben doesn't use Alien X as often, after full controll is because he believes that all of his aliens are capable of defeating enemies without any need of Alien X.
That along with everything the omntirix can do
Crazy how this isn't even all of the lore. This is only really scratching the surface of knowledge in terms of the Ben10 verse.
There are a lot of plot holes in Ben 10, but all can be explained as the Celestialsapiens (Alien X's species) altering reality
OK now that I think about it didn't Ultimate Ben actually mention that? The thing about not wanting to be like OG Ben 10K?
My favorite part is that Ben was charged 5 bucks for remaking the universe, and he actually went to court for that!
I grew up with the first Ben 10 season and Alien Force/Ultimate Alien, but I stopped at Omniverse. A few years ago I got the itch to binge the entire series, and after doing so, I fell in love with Omniverse after finishing it. But they found a new enemy to hate and that is the reboot, even though it has it's redeeming qualities people are hesitant to give it a pass for a bunch of reasons.

Also while Gwen and Kevin kept their voices, Ben now had a deeper voice so had to be replaced. Though the original WAS still used A LOT, mainly for the crossovers and brand new flashback, which where actually very common in season 5.
One of the best cartoons I've ever watched 👌🏼✨
I watch this video from time to time and I love it
Ben would never just use Alien X for no reason.
Paradox strongest character fr fr
The reason why the Omnitrix blows up the entire universe is that Azmith meant for ONLY the omnitrix to blow up but it has so much energy that if it charges for too long then that energy erupts, then the universe ends

its nice to see many people are getting more into ben 10
Ben 10 is so underrated, glad you watched this
The fact in kept going over a decade to as recent as 2021 proves it isn’t underrated. 😂
@@calebgoodman3028 It's a 6 billion dollar franchise it isn't underrated but the fanbase is dying.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 Exactly. Most fans sadly stopped with the reboot
The only problems with this animation is that Ben's future doesn't change when he meets himself from the future and that he didn't mention that Kevin's father is a false memory created by Servantis (as well as Osmosians, who are mutants, not aliens).
The whole mind altering shit could have simply been a "mindfuck" from Servantis
@@legojarjarbinks2564 Extremely unlikely, as Kevin remembered this when he accidentally bumped his head with Servantis, so Servantis would have to make it up in milliseconds. Also, there's no reason for him to lie about it, he hasn't lied at any point in the episodes he's appeared in, and there's no reason for him to lie about it since it would only make his image worse for the plumbers for no reason.
@@legojarjarbinks2564 I like the Servantis part more cuz Kevin's father being a plumber came out of nowhere and Max even promises him that he will take care of Kevin but then we saw none of that in OG series
Hi Morepatterrz I love this and I hope you have a good day and you are awesome and funny and keep up with the great work
