    Hi Emanuel,
    Thank you so much for taking your time and doing the review. We respect your opinion and value it significantly because of your level of experience.
    We are sad to hear your experience was not satisfactory with the aircraft. The things you mentioned have been highlighted recently by some other people too. And at this time we have been working to quickly remedy most of them.
    About the autopilot, the modes and such, its basically the same as the A330neo, so the issues you may have, might be due to the different flight dynamics of the A340. Sorry to hear you couldn't accomplish A to B, but many reviewers online in youtube were able to fly a standard A to B flight, but I understand experiences may vary and situations can happen, considering the aircraft does have a bit of the Asobo code on it and thus you may encounter bugs.
    In the coming days updates will be released improving the overall experience.
    Sincerely,
    Ricardo
    LVFR

      Hi Ricardo,
      happy to hear an update is coming soon! I really liked the A330 for the intended audience and I'm sure if the A340 gets there as well it'll be a good addon overall!
      Cheers,

      The plane sucks and nothing varies but the quality of the plane. Don't make excuses. Just do better. I have several of your planes and airports. I have had to delete airports because they have not been updated and your planes work on a minimum basis. We want knowledge of these planes, which means we want the ability to do lnav/vnav departures, we want all system buttons to work, we want full programming capabilities in the mfb, ability to change arrivals during flight.
      Communication with your bank (us the community) can make you rich if the product reflects the correct aircraft. Right now your leaving money on the table. LVFR has come a long way but still has some growing to do before I purchase another aircraft or airport from them. I am in constant support that they will get it together.

      @@GeeRoss Your comment is not anything anyone in the sim community really cares for. Emi was clear this was not a study-level aircraft, nor does the developer advertise it as much. If that's your expectation, buy the Fenix. There are plenty of gamers (yes, this is a game) who aren't interested in becoming pilots and don't really care for that level of fidelity. They just want to get in an airline and soar. So this addon isn't for you? Great. Just move on and have a nice day.

  • @TazerXI

    The autopilot not following the flight director is horrific. If I was programming a basic auto pilot my code would be 'follow flight director with short delay', so even if the flight director logic was messed up, you would expect the autopilot to follow the messed up logic, not whatever this was.
    To a new user, this would be detrimental, as they would have no idea what is going on. Let alone the modes not working properly, so they really don't know. VNAV may not even be necessary to a new user (just use OP/Desc or FLCH in Boeing), but if it was advertised, then it should work as intended.

  • @eddiehimself

    The CFM56 engines on the 737 look different from other aircraft models because the 737's wings are so low to the ground, they actually had to move things like the air starter around to the sides so that they would fit. As such, it gives the cowlings on the 737's engines a much wider appearance compared to other aircraft with the same engines like the A320, A340, DC8 etc...

    If I can make a suggestion, Emi...
    When reviewing aircraft, maybe upload 2 separate videos.
    The first one would be one like this, where you do a full A to B flight. This gives the audience a comprehensive look at the aircraft.
    The second would be the "review", which would be a 10-15 minute summary of all the key points from the full flight video.
    Think of it like a video game review - they are generally quite concise and cover all the main points which a potential buyer would want to know. For people who want to know even more, they can watch playthrough videos which are much longer.
    I almost decided not to watch this review because of how long it was, but then I decided I'll watch it anyway but just skip to the end, in the hope that you would have a nice summary (which fortunately you did, but I only found the timestamp when reading through the comments).
    Had this video been 15 minutes instead of 1 hour and 44 minutes, I think the view count would be much higher.
    Just my 2 cents.

Those same people usually also hyped the Fenix so much, even though they did the very same thing (think IAE, or sharklets which we still don't have two years later).

    I think the biggest problem with LVFR products might be the price. If you buy the A300 from inibuilds for example you'll pay 10€ more but you'll also get so much more out of your money.
    Going for an aircraft that is made for a more casual audience is perfectly fine but maybe adjust the price accordingly :/

    • @robbyyant6213
      @robbyyant6213 16 дней назад +2

      The casual audience thing makes no sense to me. You can easily load up the Fenix A320 and be flying in 5 minutes using EFB shortcuts. Plus, you're getting a consistent experience because you know the airplane will act correctly each time you fly it. There's no excuse for the quality of LVFR products, even if they cater to "casual" simmers. Just call it what it is, garbage.

    • @Till21N
      @Till21N 16 дней назад

      @@robbyyant6213 Garbage is a little bit harsh I think. "Casual aircraft" have their place as Emanuel wrote in his second comment under the "toy airplane" comment under this video (He analysis the situation really well I think). Developing a fenix or a pmdg product is a lot of work and financial risk and you can't expect that from every company.
      After watching the whole review, there's no defence for the lvfr 340 cause it's broken atm but I believe that not every sim aircraft can be a fenix, toliss or pmdg.

    There seems to be a growing and disturbing trend of developers releasing products that really should be beta or even alpha versions, or selling addons as "early access" but at full price, relying on customer's trust that they will eventually fix bugs and add features (but that doesn't always happen sadly). I think as a community we need to push back on this by keeping our wallets in our pockets until the products are ready to go, or until they release early access products at a suitable discount so that we can be their beta testers for them.

    I kind of disagree about what an average entrly-level simmer needs. I do believe it should be a really good freeware aircraft like FBW A320, Zibo 737 or even payware like PMDG / Fenix. Otherwise, with something of a lower quality (like this LVFR A340 or the Embraers) the newbie simmer will just struggle to understand whether it's him doing something wrong or it's the aircraft model messing up, he would simply have not enough experience for that, which might cause disappointment, learning wrong things or even abandoning the beautiful world of flight simming. It does not have to simulate super deeply (like faults), but at least the basics must be almost perfect.

    Fair play for giving us a review of this aircraft Emanuel. It looks just like I expect a LVFR aircraft to behave, awful. How people pay $30 for this is mindboggling. LVFR are just as bad as Captain sim.

      I personally only have so much time to fly and when I do, I want the experience to be very realistic and fulfilling, not half-assed and hobbled together like many of the add-ons for MSFS nowadays. The whole "casual simmer" thing makes no sense to me. You can easily load up the Fenix A320 and be flying in 5 minutes using the EFB shortcuts. We need less of these mediocre add-ons and more developers aspiring to be at the level of what Fenix, Black Square, and A2A have achieved. Casual should not mean garbage. It's just an excuse for lazy developers.

    Yeah this thing is rubbish. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time with this one. My entry level plane back in the mid 2000’s was the PMDG 736 and this was way before any decent YT tutorials existed. I think jumping into the deep end is far more beneficial than learning on something like this especially with the amount of online tutorials available today.

    Your "NEW to Flight Simulation? Do yourself a FAVOUR and get a GOOD aircraft to LEARN" (ruclips.net/video/ThNnZOxbl4Q/видео.html) comes to mind. If I was a beginner I'd be very confused about the autopilot bugs / glitches / (half) implemented features. Replace "what's it doing now?" with "it is supposed to do that?" and I think that's where beginners will be.
    I don't think people need a full blown "study level" aircraft learn with every system implemented also allowing for uncommon failures. But for an entry level aircraft what's there should work well with standard operations.

      Quite simple: If they re-market their products I will gladly do that. I rate the aircraft according to their marketing. Write lots of bs on your productpages and I’ll rate your products against that, be honest and open about what you do and don’t and I’ll likewise rate it accordingly.

    • @raphaelmuh621

      @@A330Driver Well they said it would be beginner-friendly and can fly from A to B. You said it yourself in your video many times that none of this is even remotely true. That‘s just as much wrong marketing as FSS did. The feeling is that you did not want to offend LatinVFR (as you did with FSS, rightly so), maybe because they gave you this version for free, because you usually are much more aggressive for BS like the autopilot not even being able to do a level change climb. I’m just feedbacking my disappointment, I was totally expecting you to go total rage over this product :) Also please keep in mind the price: This is not cheap.

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  15 дней назад

      @@raphaelmuh621 The difference between the two is that one (FSS) released knowingly and intentionally lying about the products status, trying to fool people into buying the product by deceiving them about the products state. The other (LatinVFR) is known to release entry level products and advertise them as such. Yet they too seem to have messed up big time with this release. Whatever caused it, I don't think it was intentional. They give me no reason to believe so. FSS without any doubt MUST have known their products state. LVFR perhabs not. Might blame that on bad testing or whatever, but not bad intentions of fooling the customer. But it seems more of an honest mistake in their case and not intentionally deceiving customers as FSS did. And that is the part where I make the difference between the two. One had a bad intent, the other just bad testing/you-name-it.
