Wow nice big green one. Love it when you pick up rocks, say this is really nice, then chuck it back. I groan each time. Your “trash” is another’s treasure. Lol
Biggest geode Ive found in my secret spot so far. Total weight of the geode was 35 lbs. Really cool stuff Oregon Rocks! Rockhounding Oregon: Huge Crystal Geode
Wow Andrew, that trip was amazing! You guys found so much amazing stuff! The chalcedony was amazing and the moss that quest found and the crystals in everything! And that huge piece was awesome, but its a long way back to the car! Thats going to be heavy! lol! you are hilarious too! Thats what makes your channel amazing. Thanks andrew. OMG that huge moss agate was gorgeous!!! Wow! It was worth the effort!
Hi. just found you're channel!! I am just getting a late start being a rockhound. The rocks you toss away would be a joy of a find to me. I live in the PDX area.
When I was just in Arizona we were in a spot that was just mud all over. Had like 2-3 lbs of heavy clay mud on shoes at all times. Scrap it off and 5 steps later it’s just as bad 😅
I sometimes take a king-sized pillowcase, so I can put rocks in there and sling it over my shoulder to carry. The. I’ll put that in my backpack, but my backpack is grody inside, soo… 😂 I also have a garden wagon that’s great to have if I’m somewhere I can roll/drag it! That’s a cool spot!❤
Thanks for sharing sir, much appreciated! Love the green in that large quartz nodule~ Dying to get out for hunt, the video is fuel for that fire! haha Thanks again.
2:35 I bet that forest has 196,000,000 amazing and valuable sticks. I like the idea of a pack liners for your rocks to keep all the dirty out of your bag. That cut at the end here was amazing.
The "turtle shell" geode I found was better than expected. The crystals are way more clear than a few of the big ones Ive pulled. Really wanted to sphere it but the slabs will be too nice.
@@TheRogueRockhound maybe it should be Turtleshell Mt instead of Potato. The cut you showed on that one is gorgeous. Mind rather blown. I guess your dousing weeds work well.
@@TheRogueRockhound mhm. That was pretty amazing too. Very handy tool to have. I think I’ll find a good set for myself and use it to discover the hidey hole. 😂
Are those piles of agates and crystals that you made in the past? Definitely looks like someone was highgrading all the goods 😄 That's an awesome spot man! Nice sized ground burl on that madrone tree. It's an adaption to fire prone climate, the burl will sprout new shoots if the main trunk gets burned and dies back.
@@TheRogueRockhound yes its true. I study trees and im a woodworker. Manzanitas, myrtlewood, and bigleaf maple all have ground burls too. Almost all the hardwood trees in Southern Oregon and California have this adaptation because fire plays such a huge role in this climate. Now you have some tree nerd knowledge! 🌳 🤓
@The Rogue Rockhound and Prospector look like yall are on the east side of the valley, and I'm finding the same stuff on a secret mtn on the west side of the valley. amateur shiny rock collector and hiker of steep things.

Dude, if you were a woman you would realize that the easiest way to get a big rock down a hill is to roll the sucker. Women don’t have the muscle to carry that junk so we always find an easier way to do it. Creativity is a gift.
