you mean worldwide inflation caused by Putin and the world destabilizing war in Ukraine? the inflation that hit the worlds biggest economy the least, because of the management of the interest rate and spending by the "libtards". stick to games where the other side you berate, mostly agrees with your take on DEI and CRT. your political scree's are sophomoric at best.

One correction: Kanji can be a word, or even a phrase, so Yasuke could easily be writing something meaningful on a gift paper. You might be thinking of hiragana/katakana which are more representative of "alphabet".

I've been saying this for years, somebody has to be subsidizing the loses. Example Disney losing money on movie after movie after movie. Companies simply do not do this unless they have income coming in from other sources. Think of the movie itself as just an advertisement for virtue signaling and the actual income is coming from Black Rock etc.

So, he must have been a straight white male.
They tell them, you are a plague. You have privilege. You will never be promoted here. You'll never be wanted here. Every suggestion you have will be considered less than zero.
So, if they have talent, they leave. Then a clutz who got a DEI scholarship and a DEI acceptance to university, will get hired with no skills or experience, and probably fast tracked to project leader.
For those straight white males who don't have talent, they either stay quiet and die inside, or accept the leftist propaganda of hate and push it very hard, in hopes of being accepted by persecuting others who look like themselves.
So person by person, these AAA studies become wildly political, highly racist and sexist, and have zero talent or passion for game development. Whatever project they start, will need years of contract work to actually get finished.

Ubisoft COULD do a MASSIVE house cleaning, and through this - refocus on what actually produces results. But that is going to require every overly egotistical block head at the top of the company to admit something is actually wrong, and to admit that - "The customer is always right in matters of taste". This is LITERALLY the one case where the customer is right, and these companies are trying to blame the customer for being wrong. We are not wrong - this is the one thing we are undeniably correct about.
But what do you expect from some soft skinned office dwelling intellectuals who have never had to do an actual honest days work? They live in their ivory palace, and are shocked when people outside are angry and, angry enough from being ignored to start throwing stones.

Also anytime this ratio skews one or the other, systemic crises always follows. If it reverses you have something like the great terror in france, if it goes like it is now in the US you get things like ubisoft. Tons of great insights from the 80/20 rule alone. The result is wasting hundreds of millions of dollars and many years, only to find the only way to finish the game at all is to send it off to sub contractors in South East Asia who work from before sunrise to after dark for peanuts to do the actual work.

Dead weight is right...they got like 18k staff and yet the level of incompetence is nothing short of appalling and feel like some of the more unscrupulous folk in the industry in particular keep inventing new position on why they are somehow relevant in the industry and deserve a job position - ie consultations firms; the black myth studio quoted around 7 mill it was being black mailed just for consultation. The worst part is rather than cut costs where it matters they instead pass the costs onto the consumer all the while refusing to make products for said customers that are in demand and that they actually want to see - also why I laugh when they say slogans like games are too expensive to make, the misallocation of funds within these companies is baffling. Meanwhile you got some of these indie devs over here with 2 passionate dudes in their basement creating better games because they know what players actually want, because they are gamers themselves. Quality over quantity, that's what I always say. Studios these days seemed marred by politics, toxic positivity and a hatred for the very customers they are supposed to be serving and/or selling their products to. Like, its fine to have your beliefs as long as you leave it at the door when you come into work. The purity of gaming has been compromised by people who wish to use the medium to push propaganda, and what I can only assume to be votes...like they have already done to the rest of the entertainment industry that has crashed and burned (ie hollywood, or music artists like taylor swift pushing for certain candidates).

I felt your restaurant pain in your voice. What makes it worse is when that attitude leaks into places where you need to care for others. My wife worked in an assisted care nursing home. The abuse she had to curb was stressful. One person slammed a client's toe into a doorframe and didn't report it at all. My wife noticed his toe was broken for an entire weekend before she got to talk to a nurse about it. Turns out they kept quiet because the one who did it was a friend of the nurse on call and she didn't want to get "her boy" fired so she let the client suffer the entire weekend until my wife brought it up and even then they made her fill out the entire paperwork and made her take the client to the ER to get the client's toe fixed. That's only one instance in that field. If you worry about the usual suspects ruining your food when you got out to eat, don't ever be put in an old folk's home. It's about the same quality

That tier system doesn’t just apply to “you be soft” it also applies to literally everywhere with more than 2 employees.

Ubisoft now has to find another MC to put in assassin's creed shadows asap before the deadline or they can forget about ignoring questions asking if they allow being bought by tencent

I feel like DEI is misunderstood in general. It's main intent was to bring people together according to their talents and strengths regardless of gender, ethnicity, etc. It was supposed to objective, not subjective. That IS a good thing mind you. It means lousy Asian me will not get automatically rejected during the hiring process because I'm Asian; if ever I do get rejected it would be because I wasn't fit for the job or someone else that offers more was selected. Now the problem is, there are times, and I mean, a majority of times, that the best candidate just so happens to be the white dude 5 hirings in a row (economic background, education privilege, too many to list that gave some advantages to certain demographics), and that will raise eyebrows on the woke community already, so companies just get the not-so-fit guy and hire him just to have some Asian on the team, to silence these woke critics. And that was where the downfall started.

Ubisoft changing? Even if it’s true, it might be too late. Heck, Shadows was confirmed recently to require Denuvo & a Ubisoft account on PC. I don’t see things going well with news like that.

typical DEI pushers can never come up with any valid arguments, on why / how its good for gaming.., instead they just attack anyone with valid criticism against forced DEI..

      It's because it is malicious.
Video games are simply a popular medium making it a target for highjacking by these enemies who wish to use its influence promote cultural subversion.
The hope we wouldn't notice, but the veil has slipped.

    Ubisoft should just remove Yasuke

16:40 I think that's not the point. What he's writing is 勇 which is not a letter - as most kanji is. It's a word. Sometimes calligraphy is like that. To compare it to a letter A is like comparing "A" pen to "Single" pen. Yes, it's the same, but A pen is elementary school. Single is not.

Japanese people literally do exactly what Yasuke was doing well into high school, it's called Japanese Calligraphy and it's apparently a requirement of some kind for years in their schooling.
And indeed a kanji is nothing like the letter A. A kanji, as you said is more like a whole word. For it to be a mere letter he would have had to put a hiragana or a katakana which would, on their own, mean nothing, like the letter A. But a kanji, on its own, means a whole word.
