Ethnicity doesn’t mean the same thing in a medieval setting. People tend to forget but not so long ago, Italian, French, Germans, Croats, English, Irish, Spanish, etc were all considered different “races” almost. A cosmopolitan city meant it had dutch, italian, portuguese, greek, polish, neighborhoods, not that it was full of poc. So a multiethnic city in the context of medieval Bohemia could simply mean you’re meeting italian merchants, german artisans, swiss mercenaries, serbian warriors etc.

These companies (with the slight exception of one) have thrown their customers onto buses because they were told to use their content to appeal to the “Modern Audience” which consists on left leaning brattish children who claim that everything is a social construct designed to oppress them and their beliefs. These particular individuals want to see themselves in the limelight, being as praised and beloved as the saviour of the Christian faith while flipping the bird to anyone who so much as says no/you are wrong. Though few in number, these people are very loud and can get pretty violent if they are so inclined to. Why do they support this fringe minority? Because companies like Blackrock and Vanguard came up with a program to reward those who support these things and will do so until the money runs out. Exactly what I always think in my head... As a Japanese American man who's fathers mother was Japanese, I'm a quarter Japanese but appear white. But in that white, I'm Irish and French Canadian which dates back to god knows where.. when somebody brings up culture around me and boxes me into a group I kind of lose respect for you because there's a lack of awareness there. If I want to get to know someone, I ask about someone's lifestyle or cultural traditions and how i can relate or dispare from what's said. It's a mindset from the getgo.

If you played a black warrior woman as main protagonist in KC2, realistically, 99% of the npcs wouldn't even talk to you. The nice ones would close their door or look somewhere else, the mean ones would jump on you and chase you. Pretty bad for an rpg, but that could actually make a decent survival horror game.
Actually maybe that's not a bad idea. Include a character that ticks all the woke traits... and then throw them into a realistical midieval setting. Include a timer how long one manages to survive. That should make the DEI happy, shouldn't it?

Black Sniper Elite fan here. I’m dropping the newest game on principle and picking up KCD2. I want historical games to be historically accurate. That doesn’t always include people who look like me. Games I previously couldnt throw my money at the developers fast enough (GTA5, Ghosts of Tshushima, The Witcher 3), I now have zero interest in these franchises and their sequels. Rockstar, Sucker Punch, and CDPR will never see a dime outta me ever again. Ghost of Yotei is especially disappointing and ridiculous since Sucker Punch had a potential mega franchise on their hands but dei is more important I guess. This is absolutely ridiculous now, something has got to give. Somebody posted a pic on X of all the recent male leads who've been replaced by a girl boss or some other thing people dont want and it is astounding.
If you are worried about Warhorse destroying the game with unhistoric occurrance of etnicithes which didnt have presence in medieval time, you can surely calm down. Because in one interview here in Czech republic, Daniel Vávra assured us that only etnicities which were back than present here will be included. This acounts for Germans (which were very large minority), Cumans (comunity which origins in Asia), Gypsies (which are a part of the Czech nation up to this day), Poles (one of them was showed in the gameplay trailer, and maybe other like Slovaks, Hungerians.

@blitzball4lyfe823 someone recommended it to me and I downloaded it and never played it. After they announced the sequel I was like "I'm gonna play it finally." One of the best games ever made. Hard at first til you train and learn it but stick with it. It's a masterpiece. I have never and will never pre-order a game. I'm pre-ordering KCDII and it'll probably be the only game I ever do that with.

The definition of ethnic: Of, relating to, or characteristic of a group of people sharing a common cultural or national heritage and often sharing a common language or religion. Based on this definition I think technically Germans and Finnish, for example, are different ethnicities as are those from nearly all European nations. This would have been the case in the medieval ages even more than in the modern era.
What they are scared of is not just the RUclipsrs, they are scared of the people who watch and follow them as a way to make informed decisions because they need to find information that is being kept from them by the studios. Information is key and they know this. And sooner or later (mostly too late), they will feel the effects of what happens when the information gets out to the public and people know what's going on.

I think what they meant by a “diverse cast of different ethnicities” in KCD2 is that there will be either other different European ethnic groups or there will be a certain type POC, like Arabs or Turks (if you consider Turks POC) since they both had a pretty big historical significance in Europe. But this is just my theory.
Based on the latest KCD2 impressions/previews, there are Romani people in the game. In the Czech localization, they seem to be voice-acted by the local Romani (voice)actors.

Thank you for mentioning this kingdom come deliverance part two is on my wish list on PlayStation five I was planning on buying it on day one. KCD1 is one of my favourite RPG’s of all time and I will easily pull the trigger on buying KCD2 day one, but because of all this DEI in the world, I am now gonna have to wait for review and then I will make my judgement call.
Sniper elite having female snipers doesn’t bother me too much…. One of the top five snipers of all time was a Russian woman who fought in WWII named Lyudmila Pavlichenko. Then again, they could be historically accurate and only let you be a female character if you’re Russian… that would be kinda cool actually…
While I think RUclipsrs help in letting people know what is woke, I don't necessarily agree that RUclipsrs are the problem. I think most gamers have the intuition to know if a game does, or does not look desirable. For many years before I even knew about this woke/dei nonsense becoming such a problem, I did not purchase many of these games. It wasn't until years later when I found out that many games I didn't buy was pushing an agenda that I saw. That's when it all clicked for me, where I finally came to the realization that I wasn't alone when it came to many of the games I didn't like. Gamers can see it. So, gaming companies do not need to be afraid of RUclipsrs. Companies should be afraid of all gamers who do not like games injected with nonsensical ideologies. I appreciate RUclipsrs for finally giving gamers a voice, so we can turn this crazy industry into a more positive direction. I understand that many people can find many things said as offensive, but I look at it as tough love. We want are games to feel normal again, and us gamers are going to do everything in our power until normalization happens. Gamers can sense the bullshit a mile away, and we are sick of it. If companies continue down this path, who think that gamers will eventually cave into liking this crap, is never going to happen. More and more studios are going to close with that way of thinking. If you don't listen to gamers, and you do not remove values that people are not fans of, you are destined to lose. We don't want gaming companies to keep failing like this, but we have no other choice but to point and laugh saying we told you so. This is an easy fix, and it starts off by firing the people who are a problem to the current gaming industry. There is no fixing these people. You can't tell developers to think differently and expect better games. These people have fallen too far down the rabbit hole and they need to go. We need to hire passionate level head professional individuals who do not get so easily upset. They take the punches by listening to the gaming community, then fix their game, and ship a product that everyone can enjoy. Developers are taking their work far too seriously and way too personally. Developers need to wake up and look at negative feedback as valuable, because that is how you improve. You don't decide what others should think, then attack their customers. If gamers don't like something in a video game, you can change it. We see it happen in indi games all the time. People give feedback, indi developers tweak things, and now people are happy. Developers are making games for their customers, not for themselves. If you are a game developer, and you can't see this by now, then go ahead with what you think players will like and watch as your game burns to the ground. I can't believe how far we've come in video games, to now have games release that nobody wants. It seems like almost every game has awkward woke messaging, they launch with crashes, they launch with bugs, they launch with severe performance issues, the games keep failing, these studios keep closing, and just this never-ending rollercoaster of drama that can be addressed. I really miss the old days when video games were designed around fun, no outside political bullshit, developers weren't attacking people for not buying their games, the games ran great, and everyone just had a good time. What the hell happened? I believe we can go back to those days, but it's going to require some significant changes to leadership, and hiring better developers who actually have passion in what they do.
I'm no history buff, but it's my understanding that there actually have been some women and black people in history who've done amazing heroic things in similar wars/battles. If these people really cared about representation, you'd think they would make a game about one of those historic figures.

Hello, Indonesian artist here. I kinda almost worked with Brandoville, lol~! This was maybe 2020 ? way before the whole abuse thing. I declined Cherry due to covid and I only wanted to work remotely. That was the early days, she was different back then. Normal, charismatic. Hard to believe when I heard about it. A fellow artist friend knew the girl who slapped herself, leaked dozens of screenshots of their group chats. Man.. I'm telling you, Cherry's language was-- very unprofessional, let's put it that way. She made artists wake up in the middle of the night (at home) to do revisions. She insulted employees' drawings with foul language without any constructive criticism. Yes, she made employees verbally apologise in front of her phone, go up and down the stairs, slap themselves, and there were video recordings of it because Cherry herself took them (and posted them in the group chat). Gave her satisfactions, it seems. There were many photos of her extra-luxurious lifestyle (travelling, fancy hotels etc.) funded by, what we'd assume, the studio's profits. The blood money of those suffering artists. Anyway yes, the company is shut down as she fled the country (she's Chinese, not Indonesian), and still had the balls to open another studio under a different name (LaiLai studios, I think). Also, it's hilarious how you pronounced Indonesian names lol
Ubisoft has a tradition where every year or so, something about them comes out. Then it gets quickly sidelined by normies when Ubisoft presents another slopfest.
They NEED to be afraid of RUclipsrs because those are their customer base. They need to take that fear and use it to motivate themselves into giving the customer what the customer wants.
I think RUclips has made it possible to see how wide the gap is between what game critic sites like IGN, Kotaku, Gamespot, etc want in a video game and what actual consumers want. Eventually that gap is going to get so wide (if it hasn't already) that big game's media will lose what ever leverage they had with game devs/publishers.

People tend to forget but not so long ago, Italian, French, Germans, Croats, English, Irish, Spanish, etc were all considered different “races” almost.
A cosmopolitan city meant it had dutch, italian, portuguese, greek, polish, neighborhoods, not that it was full of poc.
So a multiethnic city in the context of medieval Bohemia could simply mean you’re meeting italian merchants, german artisans, swiss mercenaries, serbian warriors etc.
Northamericans can't imagine that you can have 20 different cultures/ethnicities on the area of Texas.

There is a list, mostly those in the 3rd industrial sector (the service industry) like Disney, Paramount, Ubisoft and Games Workshop. These companies (with the slight exception of one) have thrown their customers onto buses because they were told to use their content to appeal to the “Modern Audience” which consists on left leaning brattish children who claim that everything is a social construct designed to oppress them and their beliefs. These particular individuals want to see themselves in the limelight, being as praised and beloved as the saviour of the Christian faith while flipping the bird to anyone who so much as says no/you are wrong. Though few in number, these people are very loud and can get pretty violent if they are so inclined to.
Why do they support this fringe minority? Because companies like Blackrock and Vanguard came up with a program to reward those who support these things and will do so until the money runs out. Exactly what I always think in my head... As a Japanese American man who's fathers mother was Japanese, I'm a quarter Japanese but appear white. But in that white, I'm Irish and French Canadian which dates back to god knows where.. when somebody brings up culture around me and boxes me into a group I kind of lose respect for you because there's a lack of awareness there. If I want to get to know someone, I ask about someone's lifestyle or cultural traditions and how i can relate or dispare from what's said. It's a mindset from the getgo.

Europe has plenty of ethnically diverse people in it, even back in Medieval times. A German from Saxony is different from a German in Prussia or a German in Bavaria. Even Frenchman is different from, say, a Croat, despite not being separated by all that much distance. Looking forward to KC2.

Rockstar, Sucker Punch, and CDPR will never see a dime outta me ever again. If you are worried about Warhorse destroying the game with unhistoric occurrance of etnicithes which didnt have presence in medieval time, you can surely calm down. Because in one interview here in Czech republic, Daniel Vávra assured us that only etnicities which were back than present here will be included. This acounts for Germans (which were very large minority), Cumans (comunity which origins in Asia), Gypsies (which are a part of the Czech nation up to this day), Poles (one of them was showed in the gameplay trailer, and maybe other like Slovaks, Hungerians.
Throw in some Italian merchants, they had financial interests in Kuttenberg.
ETA: Jews would also be a reasonable assumption.

Hard at first til you train and learn it but stick with it. It's a masterpiece. I have never and will never pre-order a game. I'm pre-ordering KCDII and it'll probably be the only game I ever do that with.

Based on this definition I think technically Germans and Finnish, for example, are different ethnicities as are those from nearly all European nations. This would have been the case in the medieval ages even more than in the modern era.
Gamers never accepted all this woke crap. They just tolerated it. That tolerance is over now.
What they are scared of is not just the RUclipsrs, they are scared of the people who watch and follow them as a way to make informed decisions because they need to find information that is being kept from them by the studios.
Information is key and they know this. And sooner or later (mostly too late), they will feel the effects of what happens when the information gets out to the public and people know what's going on.

I think what they meant by a “diverse cast of different ethnicities” in KCD2 is that there will be either other different European ethnic groups or there will be a certain type POC, like Arabs or Turks (if you consider Turks POC) since they both had a pretty big historical significance in Europe. But this is just my theory.

The SU had no issues with using women in their armed forces as combat troups and the stories of the Sniper Girls are AWESOME! The crazy thing about youtubers is not that we are listening to them and believing eery word they say, its that they are unapologetically saying what we already believe. The way it works is that the majority finds most studio blunders are absurd, insulting, and pretentious. Now there is a media that has no handlers and point out what gamers hate about a game. In summary, if you make a crap game, there is no longer any way to suppress the failure because of the outreach tuber/streamer communities have.

Thank you for mentioning this kingdom come deliverance part two is on my wish list on PlayStation five I was planning on buying it on day one. KCD1 is one of my favourite RPG’s of all time and I will easily pull the trigger on buying KCD2 day one, but because of all this DEI in the world, I am now gonna have to wait for review and then I will make my judgement call.
Sniper elite having female snipers doesn’t bother me too much…. One of the top five snipers of all time was a Russian woman who fought in WWII named Lyudmila Pavlichenko. Then again, they could be historically accurate and only let you be a female character if you’re Russian… that would be kinda cool actually…

While I think RUclipsrs help in letting people know what is woke, I don't necessarily agree that RUclipsrs are the problem. I think most gamers have the intuition to know if a game does, or does not look desirable. For many years before I even knew about this woke/dei nonsense becoming such a problem, I did not purchase many of these games. It wasn't until years later when I found out that many games I didn't buy was pushing an agenda that I saw. That's when it all clicked for me, where I finally came to the realization that I wasn't alone when it came to many of the games I didn't like. Gamers can see it. So, gaming companies do not need to be afraid of RUclipsrs. Companies should be afraid of all gamers who do not like games injected with nonsensical ideologies. I appreciate RUclipsrs for finally giving gamers a voice, so we can turn this crazy industry into a more positive direction. I understand that many people can find many things said as offensive, but I look at it as tough love. We want are games to feel normal again, and us gamers are going to do everything in our power until normalization happens. Gamers can sense the bullshit a mile away, and we are sick of it. If companies continue down this path, who think that gamers will eventually cave into liking this crap, is never going to happen. More and more studios are going to close with that way of thinking. If you don't listen to gamers, and you do not remove values that people are not fans of, you are destined to lose. We don't want gaming companies to keep failing like this, but we have no other choice but to point and laugh saying we told you so. This is an easy fix, and it starts off by firing the people who are a problem to the current gaming industry. There is no fixing these people. You can't tell developers to think differently and expect better games. These people have fallen too far down the rabbit hole and they need to go. We need to hire passionate level head professional individuals who do not get so easily upset. They take the punches by listening to the gaming community, then fix their game, and ship a product that everyone can enjoy. Developers are taking their work far too seriously and way too personally. Developers need to wake up and look at negative feedback as valuable, because that is how you improve. You don't decide what others should think, then attack their customers. If gamers don't like something in a video game, you can change it. We see it happen in indi games all the time. People give feedback, indi developers tweak things, and now people are happy. Developers are making games for their customers, not for themselves. If you are a game developer, and you can't see this by now, then go ahead with what you think players will like and watch as your game burns to the ground. I can't believe how far we've come in video games, to now have games release that nobody wants. It seems like almost every game has awkward woke messaging, they launch with crashes, they launch with bugs, they launch with severe performance issues, the games keep failing, these studios keep closing, and just this never-ending rollercoaster of drama that can be addressed. I really miss the old days when video games were designed around fun, no outside political bullshit, developers weren't attacking people for not buying their games, the games ran great, and everyone just had a good time. What the hell happened? I believe we can go back to those days, but it's going to require some significant changes to leadership, and hiring better developers who actually have passion in what they do.

I'm no history buff, but it's my understanding that there actually have been some women and black people in history who've done amazing heroic things in similar wars/battles. If these people really cared about representation, you'd think they would make a game about one of those historic figures.

Hello, Indonesian artist here. I kinda almost worked with Brandoville, lol~! This was maybe 2020 ? way before the whole abuse thing. I declined Cherry due to covid and I only wanted to work remotely. That was the early days, she was different back then. Normal, charismatic. Hard to believe when I heard about it. A fellow artist friend knew the girl who slapped herself, leaked dozens of screenshots of their group chats. Man.. I'm telling you, Cherry's language was-- very unprofessional, let's put it that way. She made artists wake up in the middle of the night (at home) to do revisions. She insulted employees' drawings with foul language without any constructive criticism. Yes, she made employees verbally apologise in front of her phone, go up and down the stairs, slap themselves, and there were video recordings of it because Cherry herself took them (and posted them in the group chat). Gave her satisfactions, it seems. There were many photos of her extra-luxurious lifestyle (travelling, fancy hotels etc.) funded by, what we'd assume, the studio's profits. The blood money of those suffering artists.
Anyway yes, the company is shut down as she fled the country (she's Chinese, not Indonesian), and still had the balls to open another studio under a different name (LaiLai studios, I think).

Ubisoft has a tradition where every year or so, something about them comes out. Then it gets quickly sidelined by normies when Ubisoft presents another slopfest.
They NEED to be afraid of RUclipsrs because those are their customer base. They need to take that fear and use it to motivate themselves into giving the customer what the customer wants.
I think RUclips has made it possible to see how wide the gap is between what game critic sites like IGN, Kotaku, Gamespot, etc want in a video game and what actual consumers want. Eventually that gap is going to get so wide (if it hasn't already) that big game's media will lose what ever leverage they had with game devs/publishers.
