Ever since ASL song translations were introduced to me and my classmates, the idea to share songs that would bring laughter to everyone dug it’s way into my mind and stubbornly lurked in the back of my head. For half of our ASL 1 final, we had to pick a song to translate into sign. I chose to do this song both out of love and because I’d always been curious as to what sillier songs would look like in ASL- all the songs my classmates had previously translated were either about heartbreak or following your dreams. During the translation, I’d hit some snags here and there (mostly due to my limited knowledge), but I powered through and successfully reached my longed-for goal of inspiring chimes of laughter to echo across the classroom. Even our teacher got a kick out of the song. It was the most fun I’ve ever had translating a song by far. Thank you, NSP, for creating this song and making all my classmate’s days.

That’s what I said! The vibe is like “you’re not the problem, you’re wonderful, it’s just that I’m an idiot.” Also Saf is one of the only girls in an NSP video that actually has personality and is a likable person outside of just being a pretty girl. Most of them are just like “hi I’m pretty,” but she talked like a normal person would, had normal facial expressions. She wasn’t a doll but she also didn’t come across as annoying or someone who talks too much about not interesting stuff. NSP has really grown up in that respect :’)

This song permanently ruined "focus, focus" as an actual focus word. I can only think of penguin in a costume whilst already distracted.
I noticed something: Danny mentions her "oceanic eyes" but her eyes are brown. He also says the light reflected off her "golden hair" but she also has brown hair. Danny was never paying attention. It makes you wonder if he even cared about the date at all.

People point out the obvious Bohemian Rhapsody reference, but really with the chord progressions, mixing and tone of the piano, guitar riffs in the chorus, harmonies and god knows what other stuff this would fit right in on a Queen album.
