Jenni Baker well that’s actually quite normal with Asian families I take care of kids we had one who where half Chinese and her grandma traveled to take care of her bc that was her responsibility and how they like doing things the parents as for my understanding traditionally don’t do that they work and the grandma takes care of the house and kids I am not Asian so I can’t really tell but I have seen many family’s where that’s how it is so if it’s tradition and makes her happy and she feels like that what’s right then why shouldn’t she help out

The house is less turmoil when you let the Nana do what she wants and run the house. And rather than realize how fortunate she is and maybe trying to give back or be useful she does nothing and treats her 72 yo mother in law like hired help. Heaven forbid she lift a single manicured finger to help out. She considers herself caring and giving when really she's just a useless oxygen thief. Props to Melea for giving all the money to nana. not generally an Eastern background...My ex in India comes from an area highly status conscious and material brands are important... I have lost connection with my Japanese friends so it's been15 years since I had a lot of awareness. I know I always wanted a Japanese boyfriend, and I had two in high school. But in college, I went on a couple dates with a different Japanese dude, a cancer researcher in San Diego (also called Nakamura, funny enough) and he was kinda mean about money, asserting himself as a better person because he had more affluence? Some guys are just jerks, so I dont think it has anything to do with race. Plus, Asians have high respect for their elders, and the son's wife is supposed to take over the whole family duties for Nana. Maybe Nana has some control issues of her own, and thats why she was still doing everything. No doubt there is a culture clash on that issue, but miss whitie should KNOW that isnt okay since she says she is so culturally aware. Plus then she goes over and make the black kids listen to country music? Does any black people listen to country? Ive never seen that happen... those lyrics half the time dont apply.

She would drop everything to help someone in need and was always doing things for other people. My mother was alot like Tammy, very self centered, and self absorbed, acting one way to the outside but totally different at home (in a bad way) and my neighbor set a good example for me and was a comfort that without her living next to us that's would have never had.

      Tammy your son isn't skinny.
But they are children. They change as they grow.
What do you say to him about his weight? No wonder you spend little time with him. Anyone else notice, the son didn't run up to kiss Tammy.

Honestly it’s true, that family was eating horribly and they were teaching the daughter to have bad/unhealthy habits. They should be more concerned about their kids health and what they eat more.

Tammy-"Cooking the breakfast even though that's a hard job, I actually enjoyed it a lot" Did I miss where she WASN'T sitting on her butt while the kid made breakfast? "I'm hungry now. Get up and get it", "Get the coffee", "Set that in the microwave for me", "Turn the breaker back on (repeatedly)" I felt so sorry for the Biggins family. How she "runs her family" "Leading by example"? She works her jaws more than her hands. Tammy could not function without Nana. Nana does everything.
