The drifting was so much fun in GT3 Advance. I thought it was related to the gran turismo series when i was a kid. XD now it reminds me more of the first 2 "Drift King" games from the Super famicom, wich is a good Thing.
Man... someone tell dustin a seat upgrade, albeit sounds superficial in a game like this, a bucket seat hugs you better, allowing you to tackle corners harder. This game is brilliant!
Yes it actually makes sense that a racing seat upgrade would help you corner better. Years ago, when I did IRL autocross in my car with its stock seats, my body would slide sideways during hard cornering, making it harder to hold onto the wheel and turn. If I had proper racing seats, that wouldn't be a problem.
Also the pink Vitz is in so many games cuz it was a real color lol. Rose gold for sure, tho the earlier/later models may have more straight pink. Ive seen the third gen in a pink but it looks painted, but the Vitz/Yaris models came in a ton of crazy bright colors.
I think the creators of these tracks might've had a few too many DOPS. Also, the little bit of this game I played, I was actually pretty impressed by it. Fun, lots of variety, and great attention to detail. Banging music as well.
I own a physical copy of this game. It's a superb arcade racer with a surprising variety of cars. You can unlock weird stuff like Karts if you complete all the tournaments in all difficulties. I vaguely remember there being an advantage to completing everything in 1st place. Top tip: Press Select during a night race. It will toggle everyone's headlights on/off. Edit: Do Drifting, if you haven't already. It's really fun. Time Attack events also unlock stuff, if memory serves me right. Edit #2: That dude's right: you rarely need to brake, if at all, on most circuits. Just let off the throttle.
The 3rd game having a save option made it a huuuge upgrade over the original game, since that one was password only. Apart from that you can't really go wrong with this series and it's still really fun to play on the go ^_^
I remembered playing this game on a bootleg cartridge and the ROM files named Gran Turismo. I really thought this was a Gran Turismo game back when I was a kid
I can understand how a racing seat would boost your handling stat. For most cars, their stock seats have little side bracing. Thus, your body will start slipping out of the seat under hard cornering, making it harder to hold onto the wheel (and thus turn). I ran into this when I did IRL autocross in my Miata and its stock seats. A racing seat does a much better job at keeping your body locked into position, so you'll have an easier time holding onto the wheel and turning it.
You should see the GBA versions of NFS Underground or Underground 2. Kinda like this, but with an even more convincing physics based handling model, 3d models for cars, slopes and jumps too.

It also has a Toyota Mark 2 car, which my father had and which I have never seen in any racing game. I remembered this game, but of course I didn’t remember its name. Thank you
GT3 Advance was one of my favourite games on GBA next to Wario Land 4 and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. I'd also recommend checking out V-Rally 3 on GBA. It's absolutely mindblowing on the handheld.
This was my favorite GBA cart besides a few RPGs, but the music, the graphics, the drift mode, and more were way too awesome. They made a 4-in-1 cartridge at the end of the GBA's life that had all 3 GT games and a motoGP game. An absolute steal if you didn't have any of the individual games.

I still have my original cartridge of this game from back when I was a kid! Lots of good memories of playing this, the expert mode does get quite difficult towards the end when you're trying to get all golds.
Now you should complete the first ridge racer on PSP, very good arcade handling and a good mashup of the series best tracks, combined with a campaign that has more rubberband than underground 1. Good luck if you try it!

MTO moved to making racing games for Nintendo later with the GBC, then GBA which had tons of racing games too. Its pretty far from a Gran Turismo clone imo.
