Screw that, I just like eating a balanced diet. But when you're a short, single female with CPTSD and food issues? Being overweight has kept the sexual harassment away. I bought a salad to work for lunch just because I legit was just in the mood for a salad And literally every coworker that walked in thought I was on a diet 🙄

Me and my mom are the only skinny people in a family of fat people. Bad thing is, my brother is on his weight loss journey(his words not mine) and because of that he thinks I have to start working out with him. Being overweight is not an immutable characteristic, by definition. In the vast majority of cases, it is actually a medically urgent symptom of poor choices in diet and lifestyle.

If it makes you feel any better, I got a lot more comfortable with being fat once I was in college and was away from my parents. I'm eating healthier than my parents, but I'm still just plain fat. And that's okay.
@@aldenheterodyne2833 That is comforting thank you. I am trying to get more fit and comfortable in my own body so this did help
One time I was living with a friend's family for a few months & they held a weight loss competition where the person who lost the most weight got all the money in a pot we all contributed to. Then they all got MAD at me for not wanting to join and accused me of "making excuses" and "choosing to be unhealthy" when I pointed out that I have PCOS and thus have a natural disadvantage.
The sense of superiority some people have over the weirdest things 😭 bihct, you take less space - love that for you, but you’re not morally worse or better because of that and you’re _for sure_ not entitled to tell others how to live in their body💀
100% agree but it goes both ways: fat people are not entitled to spread the message of 'fat acceptance', glorifying obesity. No one wants their kids to grow up thinking being fat is a something that should be encouraged.
@@AK-po1eo It's called fat acceptance not fat encouragement. No one is encouraging you to be fat they are saying let fat people exist without the constant stigmas and mistreatment. Why people think it is about telling people to gain more weight is beyond me.
@@AK-po1eo like the other commenter said, ACCEPTENCE, not ECOURAGEMENT.
@@AK-po1eo what an utterly nuanced take that is surely addressing the real problems we’re facing. I’ve sure never heard this one before folks. Thank god, I was just about to tell all my friends to chub up for fat girl summer.
Bring back fat shaming. Oh, and let’s shame smokers while we are at it.
LMAO stop because when i was in the eighth grade i was eating a salad for lunch in class (it was the period before lunch and everyone ate lunch in that class) and the substitute teacher came up to me and literally said “aww, zoe! look at you with your healthy salad! i’m so proud of you!
My mother-in-law was four times heavier than me, she could move during aerobics far far better.
Muscle memory. Some people weren’t always out of shape whilst others have never been in shape.
" was " 😶
Four times??? Was she 500 pounds? 😭
Bruh if yo mother in law is 600 pounds and more agile than you that’s not her being agile that’s you being stiffer than a 16 year old boy’s special sock
@@mommasbigboy8656 where does it say anything about water? Lmao
I got panera with my grandma and I ordered a strawberry poppyseed salad and she was like “im so proud of you” like what are you talking about dawg
Why are people so weird? I’d just ask if it was good
Ok that was low-key funny LOL
That vest looks sooooo darn cozyyy I want one despite of 93 degrees outside
Thin people are apparently horrified by the idea that us fat people can be fat and happy about it and comfortable with ourselves.
As someone that wouldn't consider themselves fat or skinny with joint/back issues: if I'm in this much physical discomfort, i really can't see how people with significantly more weight can deal with life and be comfortable? When it comes to appearance, I'm fully in the "nobody but the person them self needs to like it/be satisfied by it". But when it comes to joints, skinfold holding sweat etc. It just doesn't sound conductive for a happy life? I know that i get grouchy when in pain
@@zottelhuehs6375 and that's your experience. Not everyone else's. Sometimes it's just that easy and you shouldn't overthink it.
Stop copping your not happy being fat
@@zottelhuehs6375 i have joint issues too and I fat
yeah its not fun but beyond wishinf people to be a healthy medium (not obese, not close to it and not in danger of being actual skin and bones), I don't make odd comments to either side
I especially still treat them like a human being
a human being with their own life experiences, issues, reasons and different BMI to me
Screw that, I just like eating a balanced diet. But when you're a short, single female with CPTSD and food issues? Being overweight has kept the sexual harassment away. My weight yo-yos and I hit a certain BMI and it's like a switch flips and suddenly it's catcalls and students making innuendos and such. My fat is literally my shield, and so long as I can still function I'm fine carrying the extra padding because it protects me.
I'm really sorry people do that to you
I felt every word here, I’m glad I found someone I could relate to
Unfortunately sometimes even that doesn't protect you.. 🙃 Speaking from experience
I notice if I wear my cross necklace they would still stare but they won't make the comments. I went walking with my sister wearning a skirt down to my ankles but they was acting like I was almost naked, they kept quite because of my necklace. I'm not too small. 🤷
I noticed that too. When I lose weight the sexual harrassment increases exponentially.
‘Yes bitch!’…lmaooooo
Being fat is one of the best things that can happen to you. Seriously, you'll find ALL the other things to enjoy in life that if you were thin you wouldn't think about. But Exercise is Gold!
That's literally happened to me.💀
That outfit is fire
I thought this was Jared from subway before all the weight was gone.
i’m a fat person whose actively trying to lose weight and it’s still like??? i get people are trying to be encouraging but i’m literally just going and,, getting a salad? i don’t need a medal 😭😭
Yoooo 🤣🤣🤣 I’m fat and this was funny af
It's wild there's still fatphobia
Caleb is soooooooooooo damn funny 😂
I really want to hear him talk with a Peter Griffin voice.
As a once fat Girl, and now... in the underweight bracket...
I personally get offended when the only interesting topic of concern is what shape/size my body is.
After my weightloss it was as if folks couldn't talk about anything else.
I said I worked out to my "colleagues" at a shoot and I got these looks "🤨😐😶😕"
so relatable… i don’t like chocolates or sweets in general so sometimes when i’m offered sweets i say no or take only a little to be polite but these people be like ‘oh it’s good you’re diet conscious’ or ‘yeah you really need less sugar in your diet’. i used to explain at first but now i don’t even bother and just laugh it off
Literally 😭😭😭😭
"Mkay" lol felt, real pensivee
Ok well now I need to see the entire set
Lol damn. I thought he was going to say the thin person would get too excited and want them to go on a hike or something 😂, that was unexpected.
😂😂I remember walking in to a restaurant while my boyfriend (now ex) went to park the car, this one guy who was at the till point said "are you a model? " I said no, then my bf walked in, the look on the guys face and his colleagues was so funny🤣 the girl said what are you and your friend getting, I said "boyfriend.. Ummh I'll have a bowl of salad and he will have chicken with.. " then she proceeded "oh it should be the other way around" we left the restaurant. I don't understand why some people always have issues with fat people, I mean I'm skinny but I have my own insecurities, as long as the person is comfortable in their own body then let them be.
That outfit is kinda lit
Dude may be fat but he has the drip fr
This made me laugh so hard!
This is so true!!!
I bought a salad to work for lunch just because I legit was just in the mood for a salad And literally every coworker that walked in thought I was on a diet 🙄
he looks like a young eric stonestreet
As a skinny person I would rather be fatter because fat people are naturally stronger usually and it’s so much easier to eat in a calorie deficit than surplus
Look I appreciate peoples excitement for my health journey but sometimes it feels like it’s too much pressure so I’ve been going to the gym secretly .
Lmao the accuracy
Caleb reminds me of Ryan Reynolds lol
I wanna send this to my friend but I’m afraid she’ll think I’m calling her fat by sending her this 😭
Bro reminds me of cam from modern family
When he screamed “cancel me!!” That’s exactly who I thought of too haha
Legit I was eating grapes the other day and this guy I've never met went 'I see you're on a healthy diet. That's great, you are what you eat! You look GREAT for it 😍'
this is too accurate jesus
It's kind of funny but it's actually not necessarily based on what you eat or what you don't do or being lazy. Sometimes it's literally just about nutrition and doing a minimal amount of exercise, not doing a lot
I walk everywhere and getting in all the food groups is important to me and I'm still fat! AND HAPPY!
Me and my mom are the only skinny people in a family of fat people. Bad thing is, my brother is on his weight loss journey(his words not mine) and because of that he thinks I have to start working out with him. I’m recovering from an ED, and I’m very susceptible to addiction, so I don’t want to get an exercise addiction that could trigger a relapse, but my brother doesn’t understand how EDs work, so I have to just make excuses cause it’s too much work to explain it
I used to run out of work at the end of the day bc the building is huge & I want to go home... and this Indonesian woman I was friends with started inviting me to do runs and hikes because I "have good running form" and she wanted me to lose weight lol. I appreciated the offers but a little insulting lol
My response: "we already do" 😂
Ok peter griffin
When I was in grade school, people used to ask me if I was anorexic or bulimic :( I was just a poor kid sustained by school lunches 😭
can i just say i can’t stand the way people on the internet and where i live are so insistent on commenting on other people’s body types and other immutable characteristics. there are so many assumptions and voicing them is so commonplace, totally socially fine, it makes me sick. all my life i’ve heard comments about my body type, people can’t help themselves. i’m very underweight and my partner is overweight, we both face this constantly. the comments have lead to such a deep insecurity within both of us. always being judged and having assumptions being made about who i am as a person based on how large or not my meat suit is. it’s so dumb
Being overweight is not an immutable characteristic, by definition. In the vast majority of cases, it is actually a medically urgent symptom of poor choices in diet and lifestyle.
I get stoned and go on hikes. It's not serious
Homie looking like Craig from malcolm in the middle
He's hilarioussss
I got the joke, and he seems nice to me.
Reminds me of Malcolm in the middle
He's funny 😂😂😂😂
I love how this comment section pass the Vibe Check 🙌🏻
I bought a salad at work the other day. My colleague goes ‘oh that’s a healthy lunch. Are you on a diet? Well done!’
No… I just wanted to sprinkle it on top of my pizza in the evening, but thanks for the gut punch
I’ll eat carrots and everyone is celebrating like I don’t eat them almost everyday.
I'm not going to lie. And I mean this in a sincere way, not a creepy way. But this immediately made me think of one of my favorite comedians. Ralphie May. May he rest in Peace.
And before you say it's because he's fat, yes, you wouldnt be wrong.. but thats not it lol.The comedic timing, the faces, the way the joke was spun lol... well done. I'll be sure to checc you out more C.H!
He did that Trump meme gif face at the end lol
it's the exact same as a skinny person😭
"oh my goodness, did you eat that *whole thing*? all by yourself? it's about time you put some meat on those bones!"
my metabolism deleting all of my fat intake: 💃
Yep, people need to look at themselves more and leave others alone.
Probably even more so.
Everyone seems real comfortable saying anything about a skinny person's body.
I struggled for years trying to gain weight and every time I complained, I just got people saying they wish they had my problem.
he looks so nice, great choice of clothes
So true!!! As a fat person you pick up a chocolate bar, the only one you had that month and they like you need to cut down!
Th best is getting my job as a cleaner and my boss tells me it is also a good way to lose weight…I’m not trying to lose weight, but good to know I look fat af 😂
He looks like Craig from Malcolm in the middle
I've had the opposite. People tell me I don't need to worry about what the world thinks, and tell me to be happy with who I am. Toxic positivity is a thing y'all.
i get told if Im just more positive my mood disorders and episodes will just disappear..
yeah its always existed
my favorite toxic positivity are the people that really hype you up that just wanting something bad enough is enough to make it happen, then when you try to explain all the steps you have taken to make it happen and how it didn't work out or why it cannot happen and your limitations, they make you feel bad for not trying hard enough.
Bro I lost like 10 pounds in a week from my medication and not being able to eat and everyone was proud of me while I was like dying and hurting bruh wtf 💀
WE GO JIM
His voice tho
I have never heard something so accurate in my life LMAO---my boyfriend is really thin and says stuff like that all the time---not in a malicious way, he just misunderstands the intentions of my actions and he thinks he’s supporting me
So this is that important comedy I've been hearing about.
This guy gives me big Phillip DeFranco vibes
Was not expecting that New Orleans Baton Rouge question at the end….kinda shocked Tricia knew that.. I live in Baton Rouge like huh nobody talks about this place?? Come to BR lol
As a skinny person I’d say have fun.
as a chubby person i feel like its all eyes on me when i talk about going to the gym
“Well meaning” fatphobes always sound like they’re asking if we’ve heard of trying.
Like, no, I’ve never ever put any effort into anything, thank you for this life changing epiphany, brave stranger!
