I workout every day. I eat a decently regular amount (although due to some of my meds, I can sometimes forget to eat). I’m just overweight. For me, I’m overweight due to my autoimmune disorder. I get people often have good intentions behind being congratulatory when I do “healthy” things, but I also hate how condescending it is. A lot of my skinny friends acknowledge that they are unhealthy in certain ways. I just hate that people assume I’m unable to care for myself most of the time because im fat.

Dude... I feel this. I have always been bigger than others, always will be. I am very thick in the arms and legs especially and it has always been an insecurity of mine. However, I was always dancing, always exercising and eating fruits and veggies every day. At school dances, I was the only one of my friends dancing like crazy the whole time, trying to get them on the dance floor w me. I had people telling me to change my lifestyle to be more healthy when frankly I didn’t need to. I do now, but I look back and I’m like... I wasn’t even that overweight. People from high school apparently had crushes on me and liked me a lot, and I never would have known because of the way I was treated for my size. It was like they were scared of being judged for liking a slightly bigger girl. I was just bigger than my friends. Had a big butt when it wasn’t popular. The way people treat overweight people as though they are automatically flawed and less than... it’s wrong. Fat people are always the butt of the joke. And you are wrong for being fat if it’s just in the “wrong” place. People claim to be worried about health but really it’s just as shallow of a concern as it possibly could be. They really just want you to be easier for them to look at and accept. Screw that!

Calories in vs. calories out? You can’t store energy that you burn, and if you don’t burn as much as you consume, then your body will store it. Ofc some people have metabolic issues/comorbidities, but none of those reasons make obesity any less dangerous, and in fact maintaining a healthy weight is important for people with many of these issues. When it comes to appearance, I'm fully in the "nobody but the person them self needs to like it/be satisfied by it". But when it comes to joints, skinfold holding sweat etc. It just doesn't sound conductive for a happy life? I know that i get grouchy when in pain

My weight yo-yos and I hit a certain BMI and it's like a switch flips and suddenly it's catcalls and students making innuendos and such. My fat is literally my shield, and so long as I can still function I'm fine carrying the extra padding because it protects me.

Ummh I'll have a bowl of salad and he will have chicken with.. " then she proceeded "oh it should be the other way around" we left the restaurant. I don't understand why some people always have issues with fat people, I mean I'm skinny but I have my own insecurities, as long as the person is comfortable in their own body then let them be.
