Love PC marine working in marine retail for years best epoxy putty on the market and I temp patched a hot water tank good video you have a tough job there with paint hopefully owners understand that.
It's been a while since this was done. Over time, how did the paint hold up? I'd like to take this same approach but I'm worried that the paint will chip and scratch along the bottom when it's dragged on a gravely bottom pond, stream or boat launch.
All I want to do to my kayak is put a little detailing on the back of my kayak, not on top, but not below the waterline. Would this technique work for that? My boat only goes on freshwater, if that makes any difference. Also, how durable is this? Will it need to be redone in a few years or is it pretty set?
I presume the kayak is made of polyethylene. How did the PC-Marine bond to the plastic? According to the instructions PC-Marine does not adhere to polyethylene.
good repair info ... I prefer sit on over sit in also I'll have to use that marine stuff to patch a small hole I have in top of my child's kayak... I subbed hit me back if you get a chance

Great description of the crack! How is that holding up? Is the crack holding and how is the paint holding up since it has been 2 years?

How long did the paint job last?
question i have the exact same kayak i am restoring were can someone get accories for it like the front cap and handles and stuff?
OK now its been awhile how is the paint holding up to the riggers of kayaking?
Still pretty good, It's left outdoors uncovered too.
Any idea how spray paint would work/last on a kayak used for salt water fishing?
Should be the same as fresh water, my inflatable was painted and held in salt water. Thanks!

Nice video man.
Thanks BassGeek!
Why you do not take handles and line off for painting instead to waste time for taping?
