Wood was so sweet with the Faces. He was great after joining the Stones as well but his playing was heard differently in a two guitar band. The other thing is that playing with Ronnie Lane would bring the best out of any guitar player.

Great feel and tone Eric, loved Woody when he was with The Faces, I think you do too! Would be great to see you break this down into a lesson. Thanks

This is a play off of 'Debris' isn't it? Perfect song.

Nah, bro. These are almost the exact licks Ron Wood plays on the song Debris. You obviously don't know about Faces, the highlight of his career as the featured guitarist and songwriter of a band. Not trying to be one of those "how do you not know this band, album, song, etc.", but don't talk like you know someone when you obviously missed the key part of their career.

Who Ronnie play bass for before the faces

It would be the Jeff Beck group before you look it up

Regardless who played it still sounds like....Dickey Betts!!

I’ve always thought of him as a performer/ celebrity/personality- I’ve never considered his playing very remarkable at all - it’s ALL standard Blues/Rock - nothing special

Maybe in the Stones, but Faces was the shit. He was the perfect guitarist to complete an amazing, almost perfect band. I wish they would have stayed together long term instead of Rod solo and Ron to the Stones.

@@Asshat237 haha! Love the channel name! Yea , I agree - thing is Rod Stewart knew he had a golden voice , and the money was luring him away to solo career - it is a shame , but to make the big money ya gotta have less division of the pie , unfortunately
