  • We're back with another "People + Places" episode and this time it's a special "Haunted Halloween Edition!" In it, we explore how L.A.’s built environment embodies the spirit of Halloween: from celebrity cemeteries to spooky architecture.
Joining the Conservancy's Senior Director of Advocacy, Adrian Scott Fine, are two very special panelists: Karie Bible, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery's famous "lady in black, and L.A. history buff extraordinaire Etan Rosenbloom of "Etan Does L.A.!"
In this fun and informative virtual chat, we discuss the dramatic designs of iconic locations like the Ennis House and Spadena House, explore how community and culture play a central role in cemeteries and final resting places, and TRY to answer the question: just what makes a place “scary”🤔?

I enjoyed this chat. LA has some great architecture that lends well to Hallowe'en. I took Karie's tour of Hollywood Forever years ago and enjoyed it a lot. She might recall me from Cinecon.
