- We take a road trip to Marble Canyon, Arizona. Some people claim this canyon, carved by the Colorado River, is the start of the Grand Canyon. We complete our trip with a stop by Lake Powell to check on the water level.

So enjoyed the journey with you. Thank you for your generosity in sharing this!
You have no idea the joy your video provided me. A number of years ago my daughter lived in Arizona and I did the three day drive from Virginia to visit her (me and my collie dog). Our plan was to take a day and go to the Grand Canyon but the day we were to go her little girl woke up sick and we couldn't do it. I always had just a twinge of regret about missing that - but being from Virginia that road trip isn't easy. About a year later my daughter was transferred back to Virginia which made the trip even less likely. Now a widow at 76 on oxygen 24/7 I, through this video, I was able to enjoy experiencing scenery that I just don't get here. I was overjoyed and so appreciate the experience you provided. Thank you so very much!
Beautiful part of our country that I’ve not seen yet. I’ve been to the Grand Canyon and I literally stood there and cried as I looked out over it. Simply Amazing! Thank you for the adventures Jim & Pam. 🌺🐝
I love that you two are still having fun together 🥰
I love your videos. It’s how I take my vacations - in your back seat😂
Love it! I told Chief Tuckabuckaway that I want you two to adopt me! Thank you for taking us on these adventures. This is so beautiful and fun! 💜💜💜💜
Very enjoyable to travel with you, thank you for sharing
I ❤ going on these wonderful trips with both of you. Places I will now never be able to go. Such a fun adventure I love the sense of humor and the banter between you too. Thank you so much for sharing this. God bless.
Beautiful country. Thank you and Jim for all your hard work so that we can see parts of our country we may never get to see.
That looks beautiful. Not jealous but boy how fortunate you both are. I hope you both had a great time.
Lovely trip so far.. the water level is still so low! I'm glad to hear it's higher than it has been. I must comment on sometihng you do which I also do..double up my glasses....wear my RX glasses and just pop those sunglasses right over the top. Great Minds Pam...:)
Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing, I love the geography, history, anthropology, fun, and humor you share. This looked like such a fun trip!
Looks like a fun trip! And more beautiful scenery from nature.
The "kitchen suitcase" idea is brilliant! Thanks to whoever suggested it! ❤
Beautiful scenery! Thanks for sharing the trip with all of us. Looked like you two had a lot of fun along the way. 😊
Gorgeous scenery!
This was so beautiful, and wonderful of you both to share with us. My dad had a portrait of cliffs many years back that he loved. I recently lost him and this was not only lovely to see, but brought me good memories of him enjoying his painting. Thank you!
You are so welcome. Thank you for your tender comment.
Such beautiful scenery, and a peeping Jim! 🤣Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous! We visited Mesa Verde back in the late 90s and I'd love to see it again... Amazing... ❤
Rolling suitcase us a nice idea! Y'all live in such a scenic area. The dam has a wonderful visitor's center for travelers. Very informative. We have visited this area about 4 or 5 times. The last time was in October. Our grandkids (ages 9 and 6) were super impressed.
Beautiful! Thanks for taking us along!
Our pleasure!
Love the cookies at Jacob Lake Inn cafe! The views from the rooms are fantastic
Thanks for a great travel adventure
Such a cute couple! ❤ ❤
OMGGGGGGG!!!!! This is the best! Trail grazers!!!!
Thank you!!!
Thank you for this lovely travelogue.
This is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I hope some day i can get to this area. Bucket list. Until then, I'm so happy i got to see it thru your eyes.
Thank you for sharing your trip. Love the kitchen suitcase .
Hey guys! First things first... Subscribed. Love your videos. Same interests. Wife: 53, me 51. We've been to the same area and love it at least 3 times a year. Also bought a freeze dryer. Travel, easy meals and the West is our passion. Thanks for the videos. Keep it up! Are we peppers? Not sure. But I tell people I'm more prepared than most. So impressed with y'all. Hey Jim... you are my kindred spirit. LOL
Thank you for taking us along on your trip. I will probably never get to see it in person. It is hard to imagine how anyone could live in such an area. It doesn’t look like any food would grow there to feed people. Did the Native Americans always live there or did the government force them onto an unproductive piece of land. How do they earn a living?
Lovely
I really enjoyed seeing that. Thank you
So enjoyed your road trip. Ingenious meal planning complete with oven and Refrigerator. They looked delicious. Val C
Thank you!
You fix some wonderful food for your trips!
Such a fun trip! We have made that drive many times. Jacob’s lake is one of our favorite places. One fall break we stopped at 10 different national parks or monuments on our way to Phoenix. I’m surprised you didn’t stop at Pipe Springs. It is so close to where you live. You should make it a day trip.
Beautiful! You remind me of the humor my husband and I have! ❤
Enjoying your videos!
I know exactly where you were! We lived in Kanab for a few years. That's a great area to explore. Funny, we were neighbors at one time.
Yes, neighbors. We love Kanab.
Please test your window breaker on a piece of wood, as I bought some in bulk once and tested one and it did not punch...tested all with several failures to punch...still I carry the tested ones that worked...Great show!!!
Thanks for the tip! Very important.
Did you have good weather to step in the Colorado River at Less Ferry in Marble Canyon? (West of the twin Navajo bridgrs)
The vast difference of walking out in the river to looking down thousands of feet at the South Rim!
Where do you get your plaid blouses? I love them!
I love your adventures. I world like it if you did not swing the camera so much. It really makes me nauseated. But I do enjoy the adventures.
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t take your camper instead of staying in a hotel!
