I went on vacation for the week, hoping the Sens had continued their winning streak. Found out they lost 4 in a row and Norris is probably done for the season. It's fun to be a Sens fan!

I agree with the collarbone given the impact on the outer shoulder

Unless you can break your collarbone from the impact of your arm hitting something? To me, it looks like his arm (elbow area) hits the back post, the momentum of the hit pushes his upper body forward while his arm is stuck there and then his shoulder pops out or a ligament snaps...

This horrible news for this young guy- hopefully it’s something else. 🙏

It is his shoulder obviously. Look at him on the ice, he is only holding up his weight off the ice with his right arm. If it was a collarbone, you would use both arms to ease the weight off the collar.

If he broke his left collar bone, wouldn't it make sense for him to only use his right arm? Why would putting strain on his left side be a benefit? Genuinely curious, I don't know anything about collar bones

@@DarthChewie Hrmm, possibly but I doubt it. The stress of gravity would be on the arm and shoulder, not so much the collar bone. If anything I would expect using both arms would help alleviate force from gravity the left arm would otherwise apply to the collar bone. Try it for yourself, hang your arm at your side, then evenly distribute weight across both arms and notice the feel in the neck area. It should be less when using both arms.

@@sciWraith Huh, hadn't thought of it that way. Flip side, he was also cradling his left arm a bit as he skated off which would be less stress on the collarbone than letting it hang. But I agree that based on the video, it looks like a shoulder injury

Hopefully he returns but for his safety if it's a major shoulder injury.. He should retire before 25 sadly... No point being broken broken by 30..its all down hill after 30 anyways.

Norris has looked off all year and probably should've just stayed on IR, but it wouldn't be Ottawa without everything falling apart in the worst possible way.
