honestly, the City of the Damned was a fantastic level. It really gave a level of urgency to your mission, because THAT is what would happen to the world if you failed
alekosimba Not gonna lie im 12, played it with my bro since i can remberer, that and quake 3 :D Now i am a huge diablo fan. I got all 3 games + expansions, some books and some merchandise. My friends are also in to diablo 2.
"Proceed hero into Terror's Lair. Know that Diablo's innermost sanctum is hidden away by five seals. Only by breaking each of these seals can you clear your way to the final battle."
I was sad that they removed it. It added another level of tension to the game, you had to actually focus and be aware when to attack and when not to attack. It was challenging and fun.
Always my favorite track. First you get the horror and despair, then the drums kick in and you know the hero has arrived, with a understated but determined piano theme showing his will to fight and win. Then comes the hard grind to the end. It's too bad Diablo 3 has nothing to compare
@@combinecommando001 Modernized in some good ways and in a lot of bad ways. It strayed from the good path Diablo 2 walked from its predecessor. Diablo 3 desperately wanted to be something else and people started looking for other games that are like Diablo 2, such as Grim Dawn of Path of Exile. But both have their weaknesses in my opinion. PoE is overall a great game but it's a terrible time sink. Grim Dawn is just too crude and doesn't have a great loot experience for me. Even playing for 30 minutes felt rewarding with Diablo 2, everything worked for me. I would have loved a Diablo 2.5 instead of 3, or wherever they will lead the series in the future.
The most qualified talent of the Blizzard is the Sound and Music makeing. All Blizzard game song had a great music, for example Warcraft music's. I had my gratitude
I love how Act 4, Hell seems like it's taking very long but you finish it and realize how short it is. Very similar to a nightmare or some kind of traumatic event which is just icing on the cake.
This is music brings back so many memories but hell, its scares the shit out of me still. It gives me that eerie dark hellish feeling, the exact feeling I love when I play Diablo! ;)
@@htji4 Matt Uelmen, he made all of those and WoW's soundtrack up until Burning Crusade, think of Shattrath Forest theme and Draenei/Blood Elf starting zone themes and then compare to anything new they've made. Blizzard North was Blizzard's soul, but they sold it to da deval.
As a new player who has no nostalgic connection to the pre-expansion D2, I still prefer Act 4 over Act 5. Mostly because it just feels a lot more final and cohesive with the first three Acts. While good in its own ways, Act 5 feels a bit more like a side story than plot continuation.

"And there’ll be crying and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all the prophets in God’s kingdom but you thrown out." (Gospel of Luke, 13:28)
@Kenckaplus And itself invokes fear and panic particularly if you play it particularly in the first game which hell is literally set to make you insane.
diablo 1's hell theme was cool but it just wasn't fitting for hell it was way too quiet, this song truely fits hell i think this song should have been in diablo 1's hell

i liked jumping over the gaps with leap and leap jump as the barbarian.

_NOT EVEN DEATH CAN SAVE YOU FROM ME_
*Diablo comes runnng at you on all fours*
_FFFFFUUUUU-_
Yeah Jesus Christ that stuff scared the fuck outta me.
Diablo was actually a pretty hard boss unlike his pathetic Diablo III version, I guess graphics just isn't everything.
man that distorted sounds.
gotta love Diablo I and II OSTs
D2 soundtrack has the magic, darkness and mistery. The unique combinations Blizzard forget about.
Fucking burning souls
The old days of multishot lightning enchanted too.
This music plays when i go to school
You're a young man but you play Diablo 2?My respect, sir!

alekosimba And i beat baal before i coud even spell quite a few words :D crazy if you think about it
TheGiraffeGod Well done!I think I wouldn't get past tristam if I played this when I was 12 years old :P
Thx :D

Millions, even.
The Late Lord Kardok in hell, they all scream.

Diablo 3 was a disgrace to the series. Blizzard really dropped the ball with that game.

@@holysecret2 EXACTLY, couldn't have put it in better words, thank you!
Oh yes..The Fourth Act..Even it is the shortest one,but it has one of the most creepiest sounds I've ever heard!Well done!!!
Probably my favorite of the Acts, shame it is kinda short.
I hated how much Tyrael charged for rezzing mercs in LOD.
Could have used the omitted Island of the Sunless Sea quest from the first game reimagined.
Short but sweet
It's the scariest and darkest act by far, I really feel bad because it is so short.

fun fact, this song is a remix of the caves in diablo 1
Geez.... you are right !

Woah! I thought I could hear similar samples and sounds!
Sounds similar yes
"Its hot down here"
"I must be getting close"

Put on good headphones and listen to the D2 soundtrack in the dark. Feels pretty amazing.
Couldn't agree more, the feeling from this music especially the opening is just pure despair...
This is music brings back so many memories but hell, its scares the shit out of me still. It gives me that eerie dark hellish feeling, the exact feeling I love when I play Diablo! ;)
This song is incredible
1:17 - 2:40 put the bass in max. Take ur guita, max dist and play with this masterpiece.
I LOVE this track.
Hail to you, Champion,
"Not even death can save you from me!" Rage quit on Hell mode.
This is truly atmospheric, but I also like to remember flutes at D1's Hell theme.
Oh dear me, I am now in despair and drowned in nightmare hearing this horrific theme.
One hundred trillion times better than that disappointing pile of trash they call music in D3.
and everything else in that game.
Honestly I think all old Blizzard games had better Music/SFX. Think about Diablo, Warcraft, Starcraft.
But the music is the only thing i liked about Diablo3

Still getting shivers from this theme
every time getting goosebumps when listening this ))
Oh, there gonna have to glue you back together there!
If I were the devil and I would want a soundtrack for hell, this would be it...
no, people like it to much
Best comment ever!
I love how this song is action packed yet still really creeeeepy.
Anyone else get a freaking Nostalgia flash when hearing this?
@3:09 most epic part. If you're still standing against the demons, you feel so badass....
If you die in Hell, do you stay in Hell, or do you just stay dead?
This is the best game music, i agree

Read Gospel of Get The Fuck Out.
Listen it with closed eyes on night... :)
If Only D3 had half way good music, it really sucks...
+Scott Mackey D3 has some gems. Check the ripped soundtracks that aren't on the OST.
D3 lacks fundamental things that soundtrack could not cover up
Reaper of Souls has some, shame it was all just one act, the rest was cartoony trashbags
@PsychoBurgundy10 glad Im not the only one whose got that conclusion.
best song in the game along with pandemonium fortress.
This music makes me think of people burning alive... perfect!
If you look carefully in D2 at the River of Fame, sometimes you'll see a skeleton pop up out of the lava for a second
Music of elections in russia!
"Not even DEATH can save you from me !!"
after that failure called D3 and the even more epic failure mobile this officially still the best diablo
2:40 EVIL PART love it
They really ought to have made a fourth quest and have you battle more in hell to level up to go face Diablo.
"NOT EVEN DEATH CAN SAVE YOU FROM ME!"
Those Oblivion Knights are some of the most annoying enemies in video game history in my opinion.
I found the teleporting demons in Act V worse...
Iron Maiden
Diablo 3's Hell can't get shit on this one.
@PsychoBurgundy10 Yes because of the electric guitar it sounds very similar
@Artzman91 Diablo 2 Is the best game ever.

Freaking hated those damn Oblivion Knights.
Why can't I hold all this ambience?
i think next diablo game should go back in time beyond this law began, back when Lilith was stirring up trouble :3
FREAKING OBLIVION KNIGHTS AND THEIR CURSES!
I like to imagine Diablo III trying to even step on Diablo II's Blood Moor..

If I have to go in Hell, I want at least this song beeing playing!

it was unfair to melee fighters though, ranged fighters are already op as it is, a sorcerer, druid or necro need not worry about it.
